I don’t like it one bit! I used to be able to click along the top to see the sections I wanted! I really don’t like the new app! Please bring the old style back

‘Premium stories’ for a paid subscription! Once step too far Devon Live. As a useful catch up on local items the bbc might not consider you’ve been pretty good, even if the grammar and spelling has not. But a subscription to read blatant advertising for overpriced properties and restaurants? Some will, some won’t. I’m one of the latter.
Good but can be annoying!
Excellent local coverage of news and travel but to include better customer experience there should be more options to choose which notifications I want as I’m inundated with everything including a weekly email!

You send us links to articles so that when there is danger etc on the road we can keep ourselves safe. But now you want to charge us a fee to read them. Is this a sick joke.
Great for Local News
This app is the way forward for local news. It gives you information quickly following any breaking issues.
Mixed
Ok for local news most of the time. Far too many “ top news stories “ that are actually advertising or gossip about wannabe celebrities. If you comment on theses the chances are it will be deleted with no reason given, despite not being rude, no foul language or offensive.

The APP is the way forward!
The app is a far better set up than the website. Quicker to load and much easier to navigate through.
Frustrating
An app the is great for local news and articles is ruined by far too many adverts. It’s so annoying having to scroll down past so many ads to get to the ‘next page’ button that I often give up. I still read the headlines but trying to read the other parts is just too frustrating. I realise they need revenue but this amount of repetitive and irrelevant ads just ruins it for me.

The news and items are great BUT is partly useless because I have no idea which day each news item relates to!

Informative app which helps keep me up to date with what’s happening locally, along with live breaking news.

Another day,another fix that still doesn’t work. I like reading the news and comments but it’s now been months since I could do both Get it FIXED
Journalists?
The app is okay I suppose; it does what it says on the tin, but the journalism is appalling. My own education was sadly lacking but even I cringe at the spelling and grammatical errors. Also, I feel it seems not much ever happens in Devon as the stories are padded out, repeated and just plain boring.
Please date/time stamp the articles
Good local news if only we knew when it happened! Please, please can you add the date and time of the story to each page.
Devon Live
Devon Live is great for getting information on travel especially when planning a long journey. Also for getting local news.
Censorship and poor reporting
Most of their articles appear to be based on tweets or reviews of food. Any controversial articles are met with absolute censorship in the comments. Poor journalism to censor any views that don’t coincide with their own.
Use to be good. Now spam in my notifications
I use find the app very handy for local traffic however now I get daily notifications asking me to sign up for pointless emails, I get a notification every time the RAF do any of their weekly training in Exeter (it’s weekly it’s not news) amongst other stuff nobody cares about. I don’t mind bad news stories just don’t shove it in my notifications without the option of choosing what ones I want to receive.
What’s happened
Since the new update adverts are now getting in the way of the stories?! Will be just as bad as the web version soon if not careful 😢 was better before.

How many times we complain and let those guys from DL about the problem and it never been solved. Total amateurs and ignorants.

Links that don’t go anywhere! Spelling mistakes. Poor English! Worst of all, headlines which tell you there are, for example, “8 new updates” and turn out to be 7 from yesterday which you’ve already seen ! Traffic reports are good but overall it’s as if it’s run by one man and his dog ( or maybe just his dog!) J. S.
Good app, but would be nice to turn off all the notifications
The app provides a much better mobile experience than the Devon live website which is unfortunately more ads than content these days, but it would be nice to have some more granular controls for notifications - I don’t need an alert for every single news story!
