Great guide!
This app is fantastic! Made the experience come alive, and we could go at our own pace and see what we wanted to see. Highly recommend!
Awful, crash prone
I tried to use this app in Chichen Itza, Mexico. I downloaded whatever I could to avoid using data as the reception is awful in Chichen Itza. For some weird reason the app had to download stuff all the time and froze like crazy. It goes without saying it was useless. We’d way better hiring a guide
Recommend app
Great way to hear and/or read the information on your own pace. Information provided about history is nuanced and has a nice level detail, sometimes with additional pictures for explanation. A more convenient improvement would be: no autostart of a new chapter, if another one is still running. Price is dollars doesn’t correspond in euro’s, making it more expensive than indicated.
Kept Starting over
The app didn’t work. It kept starting over or getting stuck in 1 spot.
Chichen Itza ✅ Tulum Ruins ❌
The Chichen Itza tour was fantastic! However, I was disappointed with the Tulum tour - it recycled the same audio content from Chichen Itza. I’d skip the Tulum tour audio and not buy it.
Great and economical!
Great app! My husband and I shared a set of wireless headphones and enjoyed learning about Chichen Itza at our own pace.
Useless
Only works with internet and crashes without it (even if you’ve downloaded the content whilst on wifi) You will not have internet at Chichen Itza Refund please
Very informative app, but it crashed multiple times.
The amount of detail for each area we visited was very good. The auto start function based on GPS location was also very good. The only problem we had was the app crashed multiple times (app froze or just closed) on my iPhone and my iPad. Cellular was off, tour was downloaded locally to each device before leaving the hotel. Apple devices are relatively new (iPhone 11 and iPad Pro 2019) with 256GB memory each. iOS for each device was up to date. No other apps were open. Closing the app and then restarting it fixed the problem for a little while, but then it crashed again. Probably crashed 5-6 times over our 3 hour visit.
It’s ok
The guides are ok, but app isn’t well thought. It abruptly humos between segments as you move around the sites which is really annoying especially when you intentionally start play one segment but still moving around it may jump to another. There rewind / scroll of audio fragments also broken :/ in general whole navigation UI and experience is so-so. Lastly guides then selves are rather short and if get few guides like I did they share same the same chapters which is kind of lame.
Nice while it worked
The app crashed and didn’t come back up for a while. We used my wife’s app for a while and then my app started working again.
Well worth the $9.99
Great information on the history of the area and specifically Chichén Itzá. The numbered map was very helpful and allowed us to see things that were not in the heavily trafficked areas.
A scam!!!
Downloaded the app and when I got to the site it could not be used. I want a refund immediately.
Good but major flaw
The app doesn’t recognize when you’ve already passed through a landmark, so it will switch to a segment you’ve already heard mid listening fresh content just because you are heading back. Please fix!
Get it.
This was perfect. We were there with our family of 4 and we kind of hate following a hired tour guide around. They are always in a hurry to be done with your tour so they can get paid to do another one. So you end up not being able to see everything you want to or linger. With this App you get good information, it follows your pace, and it’s affordable. We downloaded to 2 devices and the boys took one at their pace and the girls took the other. We each shared a set of ear pods so we could still talk as we went. Perfect.
Garbage
In app purchawe of tours
Great for the independent type
Great app for the person that wants to go on their own pace. A lot of good descriptions and stories to hear. I really enjoyed it!!! There where a couple of new sections at the site that where opened up and the app did not cover that but that is understandable. I would recommend the app overall.
Didn’t work on site... DO NOT BUY!!!
Useless. I paid for the actual tour and once I arrived in Chichen Itza it did not work at all. It didnt show the tour I paid nor the map. I want my money back!
Great tour, better price!
It was great!!
DOES NOT WORK OFFLINE!!!
The demo app worked fine, but once I purchased and downloaded the full guide and went to Chichen Itza (where I didn't have data connection) it just kept crashing. So, basically, it’s completely unusable and a waste of money.
I love it
My boyfriend and I got this app to run away from being ripped off by tour guides. Loved it! It explained everything we needed to know and the gps route showed in the map is the best route to truly appreciate chichen itza! Would you rather spend 7 dols or 50 + tip in a guy who won’t even go through the whole archeological site with you? I saw other couples also using this app there and guides were openly criticizing and mocking us, which proved our point: they are not worth it.
Doesn’t work
Bought this app, paid for the Chichen Itza tour, downloaded everything, made sure it worked. Then when I got to the site itself the app froze and wouldn’t open. I would like a refund please.
Wish I had it found this tour before
It couldn’t be better if you really want to know the whole history of these ruins. It guides you step by step and it’s very comprehensive. I particularly like the “learn more” feature. You can go as deep as you want. I strongly recommend it. For $6.99 it is almost free!
Worth it
Very detailed guide and worked offline! Saved us from spending $50USD on a guide and we got to go at our own pace. Downloaded within minutes!
Works well and is interesting!
Nice app, it works well with the GPS and pretty informative without being too long. Nice to have extra images and information if needed! Would recommend !
