What people like
- Great tool for building custom languages.
- Fast search finds words instantly.
- Simple and easy to use.
What they complain about
- You must pay to add entries.
- Translation fails with apostrophes or spaces.
- No way to sync between devices.
As an Author and Dungeon Master? Magnificent.
The title speaks for itself, but I’ll be honest. I spent so long creating a language for my book, just to have it in the equivalent of an excel spreadsheet. But now? When I need to refer to my dictionary to write in the language I’m creating, I can search the words. It’s amazing. Definitely going to reccommend— just wish there was a share feature.
Worthless
The only thing this app lets you do without trying to make you pay for an app, that literally seems free in the App Store is create a dictionary title!!!! You cannot even create one entry without it wanting you to pay $3.99 for usage of the app! So, don’t waste your time…. Find a better app.
Awesome App!
I think that this app is really helpful for me especially when it comes to making up your own language. It’s a really cool app but the only problem is the translator, I say this because you have to capitalize every single word after you write it and it’s kind of annoying. Either way it’s a great app if you want to learn a language or makeup one. Also premium is really cheap and worth it! Just please fix some of the things! Please and Thank you!
something we need
it’s too tiring making every single word add a generator?
Really good!
I made a dictionary and it currently has 84 words on it.
Delete button for dictionary
Needs a delete feature for mistakes
Good app but need more deverlope
I see it very simple to make a dic by my own, i love this app and its very easy to use, hope you make catalogue easy to use again, so we don't need to type again the name of the catalogue, we can choose the existing-name, that we type before. For saving time. Thanks for the creator!
Nice app just a fee things needed
This app is really nice. I love it and I love the translation part. But the translator definitely needs to be updated. If there is a space anywhere in the translation. Or if it is two words that make one. Or an apostrophe. The translator will not work or translate. This is a problem. I was also hoping you guys could add word order. VSO SOV stuff like that this is really fun for me because I do this thing on conlangs I create fictional languages. But it will only work if I have it in English word order. Basically, I can only translate a single word Word for Word. Hoping you guys can do something about this but again this app is really cool.
Awesome!
As a conlanger, this is awesome! I’m buying premium Right Now! This is so good for making conlangs and if you do not know what a conlang is it is a constricted language. You can also use it to study languages, might do that In the future, Bye!
Very good
Good app if you want to have your own dictionary. Quick response to consider users’ feedback to improve
Good but translator doesn’t work
This is good and I’ve paid for it, but the translate doesn’t work even though I laboriously made my Latin dictionary
Apostrophes don’t translate
Words with apostrophes don’t seem to translate with the translate function. I’m not using the app for the translator function anyways, just thought you should know. The app is fantastic for dictionary purposes though.
Must have to improve language knowledge
I had been searching this type of app for a long time and find this....very useful for me......is there any sync facility across the devices....??
Export dictionary please
Please find a way how we can export this dictionary with our things we wrote. I purchased the full app but I wish you guys can add the fact that I can transport it or log in from another device. Thank you please !!!!
Stopped importing
I tried a number of apps that might give similar functionality, especially flashcard apps, and I found this one to be the quickest and easiest to simply open, search, and find the word I’m looking for. No extra features or fluff, just a really quick and efficient dictionary that you can create from a spreadsheet CSV. It is very convenient that the search box searches all entry fields, including partial matches, and instantly before you’ve pressed the Search button. The graphic design leaves something to be desired, but functionality is king and it excels there. I did recently have some problems importing a CSV and eventually discovered I had a couple #REF! Error lines buried in there. This app has low tolerance for imperfectly formatted CSVs.
It's inconvenient to search for words
it's inconvenient to search for words, because you have to go into each folder to be able to search. It would be easier if there was a search bar for all folders. It also doesn't have a description for each word. Everything else is fine.
Love it
Really love to use this to create my own language with this. This app overall is great!
Added features
Any way to add part of speech, etc.?
Amazing solid vocab app!!!!
This is exactly the app I’ve been looking for! It can save vocab you’ve learnt and truly build your own dictionary! What’s better is you can search in this little dictionary, at some point in time you try to remember a phrase but it just not jumping out, you can simply search it instead of flipping notebooks forever! One 3 stars thing is we cannot LOGIN..... really hope this function can be added soon or I’m concerning my hard-work typings will lose one day..
Excellent app
I brought this app, because I can create multiples dictionaries exportables and you can search in easy way. The purchase version removed the ads, it is excellent, could you include a section to put notes for each new entry? Nice app, easy and fast.
Thank You!
I’ve been looking for an app that lets me create my own dictionary and I found one! Also it’s easy to learn to use! I can also not just make my own dictionary. I can also add things like a list of my favorite books to one category and more. Overall, I really like the app. There’s not much I would want to change since I don’t know what to change. But I rated it four because their is always room for improvement. Thank you!
Super!!
I wanted the app like this for along time and I am happy you develop this app. Everything is good but it lack of iCloud support, it will be better we can use our list between the another devices with this iCloud option, and this app need another option as text font, color change. and better icon! please add this options in next update,
