I’m a huge Stellar Fan and I feel this app is just a huge rip off. The exchange rates are crazy high. I only did it to retrieve one asset and once you get it you have to convert back to XLM then pay high fees to do that! Rip off ! More like No wonder it’s called Lobster cause it’s greedy like Mr. Crabs

I haven’t been able to perform a transaction on my main account for months. I’ve been a user of LOBSTR for 4 years. Either me or a hacker has created a LOBSTR vault account in my name. I do not have the 12 word phrase to disable multisig and create another vault account.
disappointing moneygram cashout experience
support was nonexistent when my cashout got stuck because the Anchor or validating node was out to lunch. I swapped my XLM to USDC and then did everything to cashout. but kept getting error messages. first it said not enough funds yet i had more than enough. then it said “processing” for over 4 hours. no one to talk to at Lobstr so i filled out the form for support. nobody answered while i waited hours at CVS where the moneygram is at. i finally gave up and went home. this is not what crypto is meant to be about. big thumbs down to Lobstr for a) not having better support and b) not working out the bugs in the cashout process by actually trying it themselves in the real world. you ruined my day and an important transaction. no longer a fan.

New update doesn’t work
I and some associates with iOS devices have been unable to create the XRP wallet because we get an error message “Failed to derive key for XRP ledger”. I contacted support over 48 hours ago as have others and no one has gotten a response yet. Issue is not resolved.

It is very frustrating that MoonPay is the only option to move money to your bank account or off of LOBSTR and they have disabled accounts without any explanation
Difficult to Use
I regularly use a dozen crypto apps, and LOBSTR is by far the least intuitive and frustrating to complete basic actions such as depositing or transferring funds, canceling an order, or swapping assets.

I had my LOBSTR account hacked a while back ( a different #) . When we see this happening we should be able to put a STOP!!! On any transactions until something can be done to catch the perpetrator. This past week the transactions for receiving aren’t visible. I wish that we could just go to a bank and directly put CASH , not debit/Visa etc, they all cost extra money. For me LOBSTR is PRIVATE from ALL MY OTHER BANKING, I really WANT TO SEE THIS HAPPEN, ASAP PLEASE! This should be TOP PRIORITY FOR LOBSTR FUTURE to get CASH IN, CASH IN, CASH IN! Blessed Day!!
You handle only Stellar XLM
Note: The following is my original review of this XLM wallet. My new, updated review appears above this one. I’ve always really liked this wallet for XLM. It’s had its quirky moments, but it’s still my favorite among all the non-hardware Stellar wallets available. The only warning and caveat I’d give to any user is that the wallet gives access to a large number of scam tokens. Be very careful about which assets you add. If you plan to use it strictly for Stellar Lumens (XLM) or to hold native tokens like Aqua, I’d still consider this my number-one choice today. When funding the wallet, you’ll deposit XLM, and any crypto you withdraw will also be in XLM. That means any asset you trade for inside the app has to be swapped back into XLM before withdrawing. Keep in mind that swapping can lead to heavy losses. For example, you might swap 12 XLM for 58 of another asset, then later swap back and end up with only 1 XLM—a loss of 11 XLM. These are just the facts based on experience. On the plus side, sending and receiving between other XLM wallets works flawlessly, and that part of the wallet is excellent. Another unique feature is the ability to email someone XLM, although the recipient must also use this same wallet app to receive it.

Für jeden Einsteiger nur zu empfehlen; sehr einfacher Weg in die Trader Welt. Englisch ist jedoch von Vorteil. Leider immer noch kein Deutsch in der Sprach- Auswahl Aus meiner Sicht geht dadurch jede Menge an Potenzial verloren. Mein Bekannter sagt „ ..hab ich kein Bock drauf , gibts nicht in Deutsch“.. Generell, diese App sollte für jeden auf einfachem Weg zu begreifen sein, dann haben vlt alle iwann einen „Güldenen Coin“ 😉
Excess fee’s - Aquarius Default setting - DO NOT USE
I swapped XLM for Velo and my value after the swap was $1400 less in VeLO than XLM. The market values for each asset had not changed. I went back and realized theirs a tab that says swap using Aquarius for reduced fees, DO NOT USE THIS. Toggle it left and use the Stellar network, where there are no fees. Its a shame that Lobstr makes this the default setting and labels it as reduced fees. In my opinion they are lying and robbing people this way. I will never swap another token will move the crypto to a cold wallet and now delete the app. This APP should not have the high star reviews it has. People need to be aware. Update: 06/18/2025 - Yes I received your response and it was unsatisfactory. The default potion your team sets for swaps is through the Aquarius network which claims reduce fees which is untrue and deceiving. Because of your trickery you cost me $1,400.00 and you think just by telling why it cost me that much and that theres nothing you will do about is the solution. If you have read this far into this review beware of this apps trickery and if all possible find alternative means to access the ZLM network.

I’ve been holding since 2015 and my only problem is moving anything from Lobstr. Selling and receiving your money back is challenging. MoonPay doesn’t work half of the time and the fees are ridiculous!

Ich habe meine bestehende Wallet mit dem Private key verbunden. Da ich im Moment nur 162 Stellar Corina besitze, habe ich mich gewundert, dass in der App 385 XML steht. Wie kann dass sein. Erscheint mir nicht sehr sicher zu sein.

I sent Shx from uphold to my lobstr wallet and never received it. Contacted support and they keep on insisting it’s a moonpay issue when it’s clearly not. Second I USED MOONPAY FOR XLM and still haven’t seen my funds in hours. Yall gotta get it together because I’m missing out on profits and a lot of things because of this

No customer service
I tried to send XRP to Robinhood. I have done it before $2,600 in XRP GONE ! That is a huge amount to lose. I have repeatedly tried to start chat about ( no # available) no one will respond. Unbelievable!!!

I thought I would try this app as it had some crypto that other exchanges didn’t offer. It was fine until I tried swapping within the app for different crypto currencies. Both times the money just disappeared. Both times. Service and have not heard back. Horrible service scam alert

Moon pay let’s the whole app down
When you need to buy the dip you can’t wait hours for the transfer to clear. Iv been waiting 4 hours now, my position has gone up 10% so there’s no point now😡 Plus the rate is terrible £19 fees on £300 I would advise using coinbase and transferring that’s the only way this app is profitable
