VO2 Max: Widget Notifications reviews
3.7 out of 5, based on 518 reviews.
What people like
- Shows VO2 max directly on your watch face
- Works offline without needing your phone nearby
- Simple and reliable for tracking fitness over time
What they complain about
- Doesn't work with ellipticals or treadmills
- Old buyers forced to pay again for subscription
- Support emails often go unanswered
- Restore purchase button doesn't actually work
Great addition
This app works locally on your watch without a connection so you can view your Vo2 max without needing to use your phone. It makes it that much closer to a Garmin. The mobile app is also feature rich and gives more in depth information about your Vo2max than other apps I’ve tried.
I Purchased this App, don’t waste your money
This app doesn’t work, reached out to them multiple times with no response.
Getting better
Love the new update with the Cooper test, but for the developer: the moment one enters a number into the Cooper test field, the app becomes unusable because you can’t leave the page anymore. Whoops.
Es funktioniert nicht
Es hat paar Tage gut funktioniert und dann hat es nicht mehr gemessen ….
New Version, you now buy it AGAIN.
Hello: I purchased this app and all other apps from this developer for the purpose of using them on my watch. Back then they all had a one time price. Now this app just got updated and guess what it became a subscription based app. Or you could “buy” it AGAIN. The app will say that a previous purchase from the old system will be honored, but nope. It doesn’t do anything when you authenticate to restore your previous purchased version. If you are a new user to this app, be ready to pay a subscription or a $7 fee for a “lifetime” membership. If you are an existing customer, thennnnnn be ready to do the same. Until the developer updates the app in the future and erases your past purchase and you have to buy it AGAIN. Don’t get me wrong. Is a good app and does what is supposed to do on your watch. The price is not too bad either, but is just the principle of being made to pay again even though you already did in the past, regardless of the price.
Another purchase fee??? Update
Update: the developer contacted me, apologized for the situation, and honored my original purchase. I was really surprised to hear back from him so quickly and I appreciate his response. The app is fully functional and I’m able to access everything as before. So 5 stars for the app and customer support. Bought the app before it became a subscription service. Now developer wants more money for a “lifetime” subscription. Option to prove you paid before doesn’t work. Is it worth another $7?
Don’t waste your money.
I previously made a lifetime purchase of this app. It wasn't even worth it. Now that they've given the app a facelift, it's asking me to purchase it all over again. Though the “Restore Purchase” option is there, it doesn't work. You enter your details, and it doesn't even respond. I emailed my issue to the developer, but they didn't even bother to respond.
Great, widget design to be improved
Great companion app to offer a feature that should be native. However, the Apple Watch widgets design is… quite awful and not at all integrated with the rest of the UI. On iPhone, widgets look great though.
VO2 max.
Why does this app not work with an elliptical trainer or treadmill? Would be a good app if it did.
Would like to like but
I cannot figure out what kind of exercise qualifies for rating. Even when I select “walking” in the Workout app, do 20’ miles and go for 30+ minutes, I don’t generate a VO2max reading. What is the app looking for?
Very useful app with great customer support
I started using the app a few months ago and found it very informative from day 1. During a recent data migration I lost access and was asked to pay again for the app. I contacted the developer and he honored my original purchase - so I’m back to tracking my VO2.
Doesn’t Give Live V02
I installed this app thinking I would get real time VO2 max information instead all it is is a widget you can put on your watch. That’s still utilizes the VO2 information from Apple Watch. Save your money don’t install.
Great
The app works great and gives me then information I was looking for.
Mehr Sprechen
Hab es mir nun gekauft und Hoff das es bald auch dir deutsche Sprache gibt :) Mit freundlichen Grüßen
Useful
I if you want an app that puts the VO2 max metric front and center and the ability to use it in some widgets and other places this is a useful app to do that. It’s simple but does its job well.
Teview
No way to really use it.🫤
Update
After a few chats on line managed to get it working ..was actually very accurate compared to my doctor’s medical.thanks
Funktioniert nicht
Es funktioniert nicht! Habe bezahlt für nichts :(
Works as expected
Default Apple Watch complications don’t have a VO2 max indicator. This does just that! I can now have my latest VO2 max displayed as a complication.
Doesn’t work
I’ve emailed the company after paying for this and it doesn’t work nor did I get a response don’t buy it
Works as described
Works well for me, synchs with apple health and then shows in the complication. Updates after each workout. Good app to get your vo2 info on your watch
Can’t get support
It does not take data from my health app and I need help but no response to 4 emails!
The bad reviews are crazy
It takes Apple’s measurement and puts it someplace useful. That’s all it claimed to do! And it’s really useful. Not sure what those other people were expecting.
Complete Waste - Almost a Scam
This App provides you next to nothing that the Apple Watch doesn’t already provide! Save your money!
Constant exercise companion
I love this app. I consider vO2 max perhaps the best indicator of overall aerobic fitness, and this app allows me to see how, overall, I am doing over time. It’s basic, sure, but it’s totally reliable, I don’t have to start and stop, and it also shows where I stand in my age range. The only change I’d like is to show data for more/longer than only a year.
Waste of money
I somehow bought this app when looking it over. Complete waste of money, this doesn’t do or show you anything that doesn’t already show up in your health app.
Works great!
Great app that works great!
Junk
It does nothing. Apple should not let scam apps in their stores
Nice!
Just what I was looking for. Works great on my series 3 and series 5.
It does not work
My health apo does not messure my vo2 max, that’s why I bought this app, but It does not measure itself but works with health data. I lost my money.
