Great app
This is overall a great app! Sometimes you have to wait weeks for books, but otherwise, good app!
Holds are BS
I hold book and it says 2 weeks. The app randomly pauses hold multiple times. After 3 months it says 4 weeks. This app sucks.
Love sora, one problem
I really like sora. It is a good app, but I think that how they turn it is not a very good way it turns halfway, then does a full turn.🤩😒

This app is so good I can read all the books that I don’t own and not even have to go the library! It’s so good!

Sora kept saying that it couldn’t find my account so I deleted the app then 4 months later tried it again and guess what? Still nothing! Otherwise I think it would have been great, because a lot of other apps you have to pay for for this kind of stuff, so Sora was not that bad

Glitched holds
Im supposed to read two books for my summer reading which is already stressful and a drag, I finally finish my first book and now about to borrow the second book I was supposed to read. My friend was just reading the second book, and mind you she just returned it! I go to borrow the book like a good student and it says I have to wait two weeks! I don’t have two weeks to wait. School starts less than two weeks and the book im reading for that class is HONORS!! I’m really upset and was looking forward to being prepared at my new school. No way someone took the book the second she returned it. I also placed it on hold before my friend even clicked to read it, so no, it did not just give it to the most recent person who placed it on hold, I was that person . No offense to the app, it’s actually very convenient when you prefer reading audiobooks 👀. I would like to read my book “A Little World of History”. I am Fuming.
It could be a lot better
I thing it could use some work because I have it on my phone and my iPad but it doesn’t load on my iPad but it does on my phone. It’s a good app but I feel that it could have some more variety because it doesn’t have many LGBTQIA+ books but a lot of others so…. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ could lowkey use some updates and bug fixes. Other than that its a good app!
Me like it
I like Sora because I like audiobooks and I use the Audiobooks to help me go to sleep so I like the sleep timer and I like the highlights and notes too and they may not have all the books you’re looking for but you can check out other apps like audible. Audible is really great too.🥸

i was first in line on apollo 1 and it said available soon but i come back and said i was 2nd in line and i had to wait 2 weeks then i come back and i’m 3rd and i have to wait 3 weeks please respond if your seeing this sora fix and give my next book immediately please i shouldn’t keep being pushed back.
IT RETURNED MY HOLD FOR NO REASON
sora returned my hold for absolute NO REASON when i couldn't send it to my kindle and i ended the DIGITAL LOAN, not the book in sora itself. i ended the kindle loan in amazon, not the loan in sora. i had just got the book and the wait line was very long, and the wait time was 10 weeks after it got returned for no reason. Sora is a great app, but the system could use some work.

I was borrowing a big nate book and the loading took 30 min after that my iPad crashed

I love how I can access plenty of libraries through my school district some in different states even. I don’t like that they have so limited “copies” of books though. Add more copies!!
Struggling with the interface
App is supper sensitive with the page turns, touch the edge and it flicks to the next page. Tap or pinch and it could flick forwards and backwards. I struggle to work out where I am in the book. It needs to be less cleaver and more focused on the actual reading experience.
needs some tweaking (o_o)
ok so first of all: I don’t like how you open books when you borrow them. like, for example, I stack a lot, and it’s annoying having to click ‘X’ over and over and over and over… well you get my point, right? and sometimes when I tap ‘X’, it doesn’t work, and freezes. second, sometimes when I read, I find that I can’t close it, and have to swipe it. Annoying. Third, possibly last, it says my holds are full, so I cancel a hold. guess what? I waited almost 7 weeks for a book, then had to cancel literally ALL of my holds to get ONE BOOK. ONE. BOOK. ok, and it’s the same for your borrowed books as well! like, hello?? overall, it’s an okay app, but could use some bug fixes. despite some … issues- it’s recommended, though once I had to wait for a book for 12 months. MOONNNTTHHHSSS… and then they got rid of the book when I had 2 weeks left-hooray!! I mean, I guess it’s ok 🤷🏻♀️ many graphic and novels, though could use more… VaRiEtY, as I can’t find many books (etc. they’ll have book 2, 4, 8, 9, but not 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, or 10…) but recently there’s been a very bad problem, I borrowed a book called turtle in paradise, which would be good, except every second, third and fourth page would have a tiny blue question mark. I have lots of iPad space, so I tried again. And again. I returned it. Borrowed it… and on it went. This is really annoying and has been happening more and more often lately and I do NOT like it
Not 4 and older 9 and older trust me there are some scary book covers!
This is the best reading app I’ve had! Buuuuut there is a downside for younger kids there are some books on this app that are very horrible for kids to be seeing I highly suggest you read with an adult next to you if you are 10 and younger but that depends if your child can handle scary stuff ok and when I say scary I’m saying 8/10 ok so scroll for books with an adult next to you 👍 PS my sister got nightmares from the book covers ok.There are no ads on this app.

Dude, PARENTS LOOK AT THIS
When I first got it, it was nice. But then I started to see books with SWEARING and BAD STUFF WITH NO LABEL. when I started to use juvenile mode, it still let me see books with THE SAME CRAZY SWEARS and INAPPROPRIATE THINGS. And now it doesn’t work for NO REASON and I’ve tried to get into it. Logging out, Turning my device off fully, I’ve stayed in the loading screen for ages. So bad review. Totally not for kids.
A little overkill
It’s a little overkill with all the account verification details, I thought it was supposed to be a fun and easy children’s app. My Dad was trying to make it work so I could listen to some audiobooks but it was just so overly complicated and frustrating. I was so excited to be able to listen, but I was a little disappointed.
It won’t load
I was trying to open up Sora today and it wouldn’t work so I closed it and opened it back up, but it wouldn’t work still it works other times, but just not today so I’d give it a four out of five

It’s fine
The only problem I have is that it takes a long time after a book is released to get it onto the app. It also doesn’t have a lot of books that I personally read and there aren’t many copies of a book that is on the app, which results in a long wait; I’ve seen a book that had a 6 month wait. But overall, it is a good app for reading students.
Broken app?
As much as I love the app, I updated the app but it literally doesn't work anymore? The most I can do is scroll, but I can't press anything. I tried on my computer too, which is logged into the same account, and it's having the same issues.

wonderful app
this is a great app instead of entertaining myself by watching TV I’m on this just.a few more things I would have some more books like you should have books like allergic besties find their groove and other graphic novels. I really like the graphics novels.
Not letting me in
I am not able to get inside of Sora and just shows a black screen with Sora on it.

Amazing, one problem
I read a lot of reviews asking why their are holds and a limited amount of copies. The reason is due to the copyright agreements. The one problem I have with the app is the freeze hold mechanic. For some reason if you unfreeze your hold, you will lose the hold. Not sure if this is a glitch but it has happened multiple times. If someone could look into this I’m sure a lot of people would be grateful.

After updating to iOS 26.1 u can’t do anything at all but scroll and doesn’t have whole series’s so u have to go and pay for some books so its bad plus just let people read the same book on different devices

since warrior cats is a popular series, i always have to place a hold. not that you guys can fix it.
Needs a lot of improvement
Sora isn’t a great reading app. Here’s why. Firstly, the place hold thing is absolutely appalling. I placed a hold for a book and the wait time was 3 weeks. Then it changed to 5 weeks! I was so mad about this. Then I once placed a hold for a book and it took 12 weeks! I’m not wasting 12 weeks for a book I need for an assignment. Then the assignment will be due by then. Next, Sora doesn’t update fast. All the books are old and boring. We need more graphic novels. There is a lot of new ones that aren’t in Sora yet. All the boring books are always available. Fix this immediately! WORST APP EVER
Great but could be better
Sora is a great reading app but there is a few things that need to be improved, First it’s like an online library so there is only a certain amount of copies of each book which I don’t think is necessary also the wait list is reeeeeealy long and last you have to renew your books which you can’t do if someone else is waiting for it. So yeah three stars
