Pretty good app!
If you’re trying to find people that’s into your type of music this is the app for you! To be honest I was shocked that this app existed 🤣 But I’ll 100% recommend downloading and trying it out!
Got randomly deleted
Been using this app for a while now, tried to open it one day and it logged me out. No way to see if I was banned or removed. I have been removed from apps before from people thinking im a fake person. Would have happily verified.

Interface needs serious work
Great idea, but the app design is BOOTY. It is so difficult to navigate, edit your profile, search songs, and swipe. I can’t tell you how many times I accidentally swiped left or right when I was just trying to scroll to see more on a profile. It’s so frustrating; I feel like I’m missing out on so much. And some of the profile prompts come use some more options. Like more personal prompts that tell you more about a person. And why is there at least one song on the quiz that never plays???

Like the app, needs fine tuning of the app features and bugs removed. Overall I like this app
THE MOST FAILURE APP
I bought premium. ALL the profiles are FAKE!! There is only difference between active and dead one. There are few real girls there maybe. But real users won’t chat with you just to keep you hooked up. I’ve been casually chatting a bot until it warns me of “being creepy” for asking meetup. In comparison, real users will delete this app after discovering how dead it is. So don’t download if you are like me who is easily hooked by those fake pics. Done easy your money and time here. At the end of day this app will gone silently just like any other small dating app.

Subscription is too pricey
The app’s concept is a great one and it provides a smooth experience. On the downside, it appears there are profiles being shown that have not been online for more than a year which is pointless, and you can’t see who liked you unless you subscribe but the prices are unreasonably high, £20 for a single week is ridiculous. Even if you reject a profile it still appears on the “Liked you” screen just to tease you into subscribing because you can’t really tell who it is unless you recognise the photos which are blurred.

dont really recommend this. its designed like every single dating app where youre for some reason not allowed to view who likes your profile. which is contradictory to the point of using a service like this. might as well go out

Good app but inconsistent
The app could be a lot better if the devs focused on creating a better user experience than pushing premium on people, but overall a good app that I’ve met some great people on

De base le concept semble extraordinaire. J’ai voulu créer un compte. Pour ca j’ai ajouté mes premiers artistes ainsi que quelques photos. Depuis maintenant 2 semaines mon profil est toujours en vérification. Donc absolument aucune idée où on pu partir mes infos perso et photos? En lisant les avis je vois que je suis un cas a part.. Si un développeur pouvait m’éclairer, ce serait bienvenu et rassurant.
Can’t sign in at all
For some reason when I click log in with Spotify it takes me to a webpage, tells me to go back to the app, then it sits on a loading screen forever and never does anything. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing works.

I’ve been on a couple of dating apps and this one is by far one of my favourites. Easy to use. I really like getting to see someone’s music preference, especially if it’s something that I can bond with someone over.

Terrible app filled with equally terrible shallow people
The idea of finding a partner through a shared record collection is the ultimate romantic ideal for music fans. However, Turn Up often fails because it tries to quantify "vibe" with an algorithm that doesn't understand the nuance of subculture. Here is a review of why the concept ultimately breaks down: 1. The "Aesthetic vs. Identity" Gap The biggest flaw is that the app treats music as a data point rather than a lifestyle. • The Problem: The algorithm sees two people who both have Metallica in their "Top Artists" and pairs them. But one person might be a die-hard metalhead who travels for festivals, while the other just likes "Enter Sandman" on their gym playlist. • The Result: You match with someone expecting a deep conversation about thrash metal, only to realize they couldn't name a second track on Master of Puppets. The "match" is a technical success but a social failure. 2. The Inbox "Noise" Problem Because the app encourages messaging based on shared artists before a match occurs, it inadvertently creates a hostile environment. • The Problem: High-activity users get bombarded with the same generic questions ("Who’s your favorite band?") from dozens of people. • The Result: This leads to "defensive blocking." Users start blocking anyone who sends a standard opener just to clear the clutter, which punishes genuine people trying to start a conversation about the very thing the app is designed for. 3. The "Passive Listening" Data Trap The app relies heavily on Spotify/Apple Music integration, which is often a "liar." • The Problem: Most people’s "most played" tracks are background noise—lo-fi beats for studying, sleep playlists, or "Office Pop." • The Result: You end up matching with someone based on the music they use to fall asleep or focus, which has nothing to do with the music they actually love or the culture they belong to. The Verdict: A Great Idea for a Discord, a Poor One for an App Turn Up fails because music taste is a filter, not a foundation. Knowing someone likes the same band as you is a great icebreaker, but it doesn’t account for values, personality, or effort. When you strip away the "Music Quiz" gimmick, you're left with a buggy interface and a user base that is often more interested in looking "cool" than actually discussing discographies. Bottom Line: It attempts to automate the "meeting at a record store" experience but forgets that the record store works because everyone there showed up for the culture, not just to swipe on a screen.

Good idea but so poorly executed
Overall i think the premise of the app is pretty good, connecting people through music which can be a good conversation starter, however unless you’re willing to sell an organ to pay for the subscription the app is basically useless, because without the subscription anyone who liked your profile is blurred, you cant even message people, you get a certain amount of likes every 24 hours and if you want more well just give these greedy people £20 every month to get the basic features that every other app like this (Hinge, Wizz, etc) will give for free. I dont recommend this and honestly i just recommend downloading the other dating apps as you’re allowed to see who liked your profile and message them without paying for a subscription. 2/5 as i do like the idea but its executed so poorly.
Nice idea, but..
This app is a great idea, connecting people based on mutual music taste. But once you get through the free section they ask for at least £16 a month which seems excessive. It’s a shame because if they offered a reasonable monthly subscription fee, about £10, more people would use it, this app would explode in popularity.

I feel like this app you definitely don’t receive a lot of perks definitely if you are broke. I had people liking me but can’t even communicate or do anything. The app is very unique and thoughtfully created but please let people see who At least liked them or if not let them At least watch an ad to gain benefit from it or some in-app currency where u can watch a limited amount of ads to get that perk of seeing who has liked you

This app was really nice for a long time but then my app got stuck in a verifying process. Anytime I open the app it says “we are currently verifying your profile, please wait” and it’s been stuck on there for months. I can’t seem to find any customer support to help with that. I enjoyed using and meeting new people on that app and wish I could use it again. Is there anyone I can contact for support on this issue?

It’s actually a really cool app to get to meet other people and discuss music, it’s not just strictly a dating app, it’s social networking for peeps who like music lol. Met some cool people.

It is good in theory to have a dating app that is based off of music, but there is too many bots on here. Online dating is terrible and this app is included.

I’ve had a lot of fun on this app and I think it has a lot of potential to be big. The music sharing reminds me of MySpace. I would just say my critiques would be that the pro version is too expensive to justify, and that I’ve ran out of people to find on the app locally so hopefully in the future more people will join.

This is honestly one of the clunkiest apps I’ve used in a long time. It struggles to open every time. Granted, it isolates potential matches down to music preferences which is cool, but usability of the app is horrendous. Please simplify the app as well. Too many different chat and match options.

Had been a user for 3+ years, only had two successful matches in person. Avoided other dating apps with the hopes this app would let me connect with music minded people but the app never improved or got acclaim. The pool of users never grew exponentially in size. Lots of bot accounts and charging $15+/m is a wild choice. In comparison 1 day on Bumble yielded what this app did in 3 years. App never caught on in popularity.

This app is cool but it’s a bit disappointing constantly running out of people. I get new likes but no new people come up. Great in theory though, I hope it grows more and quickly. It’s great finally having the chance to meet similar people.
