I have to keep logging in every time I want to use the app. I’m now traveling and I have to verify my identity since I have to constantly sign in and I’m unable to. Good app good job 👍👍👍
Page not loading
Three days now I’m not able to log into my gatecity acct takes me to a screen before my Face ID to log into yet whatever that page is doesn’t load NO APP SUPPORT NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT EITHER UNTIL MONDAY WHEN I HAVE TO DEIVE TO MY LOCAL BANK 😡

Doesn’t work with VPN… Again
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and for the most part I’ve been very pleased with it. However from time to time when they perform an app update various portions of the app stop working if you’re using a VPN. With the latest update the app won’t even load with the VPN turned on. The website still seems to work but in the meantime the app has become useless since you have to disable your security for the app to work. I’m using the McCafee VPN with an iPhone 17 Pro Max

Seasonal Worker
After the last update, app and website refuse to work outside normal business hours. And the website itself doesn’t even load. To make it better, nobody seems inclined to resolve the issue.
Its good but it could be better
The automated system to determine if the user is human or a bot constantly screws up. It’s getting better but it’s frustrating. Small Suggestion - develop a way to quickly check a balance by text. That would be a nice touch.
Buggy app
About every other time I log in the app crashes and I have to reset my phone before I try again. Again and again! It’s a hassle! Still malfunctioning. Almost daily.

Frustrating
This new app is so frustrating. When I am trying to log into my business app, it will randomly force me to verify the app and will try to call my home phone or my business phone, both of which our landline’s. If I am not at home and or at work and trying to do some business I cannot. So frustrating.
Typical app stuff
The app itself is nice. I don’t like how it’ll just sign me out sometimes would rather it ask a security question here and there. Other than that it works for me. It functions the way I need it to so I can’t really ask for much more.

Not bad, except it never loads! I go to try and scan a check and it says “servers can not be reached” It said that for three days!!! It’s just super annoying.
Needs more functionality
Bank account balance shows when you open the app before facial recognition or log in. App needs to have more features to make it user friendly
The cookie people
First they give you an exceptional service exceptionally fast then they give you a cookie. These people are unique.
Last update made it worse than ever.
I can’t do immediate transfers anymore which caused me to wind up with hundreds of dollars of NSF fees. I presume this was done on purpose by these scum bags. I talked to the bank and they would only refund 4 of them, so they basically stole $128 from me because they changed the app with no notice. Not to mention the app CONSTANTLY makes me verify my identity no matter how many times I click “remember this device.” Also, don’t bank on the app to EVER inform you you’re overdrawn. It legitimately will not tell you for 2-3 days. Again, I assume this is done on purpose to steal your money.

Broke for 2 years now!!!
App crashes consistently when using Magic Keyboard I’ve experienced a persistent bug for over two years now. When using an Apple Magic Keyboard with my iPad (tested on both an 11” Pro and a 13” Pro model), typing a space character—particularly when adding a memo to a transaction—causes the app to crash immediately. This issue appears to be specific to this app, as I don’t encounter it elsewhere except in ChatGPT, which suggests it may be related to how the app handles external keyboard input. I’ve reported this previously via the support system but have not received a response or seen any fixes implemented. Please escalate this to your development team for proper investigation. It’s a serious usability issue that disrupts user workflow and remains unresolved after multiple versions.
Fine except for deposits
Depositing a check using the ap is a pain. Takes multiple tries to avoid an annoying scale/crop/size/border error. The old ap was way less touchy. Guess I’ll continue to drive to my local branch every time.

Starving me
Trying to buy McDonald’s at 10 o’clock at night cause I’m starving and can’t even get nothing to eat as I’m shaking and I’m diabetic. I’m truly disappointed.

I’m tired of trying to go onto my account to look at my balance and being logged out. I’ve had to change my username and password so many times over this bug it’s getting ridiculous. Fix this before I change banks!!

The best bank
I have been with this Bank for about 35 years and wouldn’t bank anywhere else. All of my banking needs are done through Gate City Bank. I know many people that have switched from a different bank to Gate City Bank because of their wonderful customer service and fair banking practices. I would most definitely recommend.
Hasn’t worked for three days
This is now a useless app. Hasn’t worked at all in three days. Have tried reloading and still doesn’t work. Good job with the update.
Easy
We no longer live in North Dakota but made the choice to stay banking with Gate City best decision we made the service is very simple and professional everyone is respectful and friendly we will continue our banking with them thank you Gate City Bank!
Not working
I downloaded the app for the first time and it took a couple minutes to get in, then it says "system not responding try again later" and so i deleted the app and reinstalled it and it still says the same thing, please help me

It’s a very easy app to use with information that is very easy to retrieve. There are times I can’t believe entries can be as fast as they are. Great app don’t make it too difficult.
Frequently locks me out
Since they added the: verify you are human feature, I’m regularly locked out when trying to access the app using my vpn. How is it more secure if you won’t let me access my banking data on a vpn?
Better software
This software is the best! I just came back to online banking and had been frustrated when software was changed. It just seemed to make things more difficult. But this software is very user friendly. Plus it seems to have a strong firewall, which is comforting. Thank you for your great service. And especially for the people you hire. They’ve always been so helpful and kind. Much appreciated!
Missing data
I have notifications of received payments and my app doesn’t show the transactions. Also doesn’t show pending transactions that I know are pending. I hate it.
