I like the app as it makes reading the paper much easier particularly in lockdown and the isolation period I generally buy the paper from the shop, but since discovering this 10/10

The app is much much nicer then using the web version since you don’t get a spam of adverts. But only have a small issue where the app freezes when I go onto a headline

News reports way way out of date. Censorship would make Russia proud. No comments allowed at a ridiculous level.

Why is the news that happened up to 8 weeks ago still in the news sections- surely there should be a cut off date of 2 weeks maximum after a story has first been reported. It makes looking for recent news more difficult.

Update came on screen, so updated now it says can’t configure the app rubbish.
Was ok until latest update
Cannot read to the end of an artical without it throwing me off the website, would’ve rated more otherwise. Waste of time if you can’t read the end of the artical when scrolling down.
Dark mode
Time and other phone info can’t be seen in Dark Mode. When I use the app, if I click on a story it throws me out of the app, I have to go back in and then everything is ok. Two faults I’m experiencing.
Painful slow most of the time
Can only get it to open half the time and very slowlythe rest of the time . Once open it’s easy to use and good app.
App won’t configure
Tried numerous times to open the app after downloading and it won’t configure. This has only happened since most recent update. Trying to find app support or similar is impossible. Fix this bug please

Derbyshire Cricket Club
There never seems to be any articles about the counties cricket club matches on the Derbyshire Live app or am I missing something? I am a Derbyshire exile living in Devon but use the app daily. Love the Derby County coverage but what about the cricket team!!
Update now can't open it up
Well was doing ok until I updated app and now can't open it even after reinstalling it several times , well done 👏🏽👏🏽

Never renew pages on mobile app. Appealing accuracy on reports.some very misleading
Tap for new stories
It may be just me but when I go into the app I expect the latest news (like most other apps) I can scroll down for stories I may have missed - the tap button for latest news I find really annoying and hoped it would disappear on the latest update but unfortunately still there other that that the app works - content often leaves something to be desired
Top of the league
I live in the north east and use this to catch up on local news in derby mainly to keep an eye on the rams news that is bang up to date .
Terrible app
Full of woke journalism, heavily edited comments to meet their agendas. Don’t bother with this app as the stories are very poorly presented and not fact checked, reminds me of a poor school rag

Dont download this app if you’re interested in reading the comments, or in adding to them. You wont be able to see or write comments. Otherwise the app is OK. Still prefer the website though.

Click bait headlines
As with most current news media, there’s a lot of click bait articles and headlines. The reporting is pretty steady, but the app has its limitations.
Search facility
Why do you show Top Stories and News stories as title pages when they are basically the same as each other. Would be so much better with a search facility. Please keep the sports reports to the sports pages only. Updating the pages with the latest news items seems to take an age maybe because you have two pages reporting the same events. Room for improvement but it’s getting there.l
As good as TV, and available on demand
Excellent easy to navigate site providing all the local news WITHOUT ANY FRUSTRATING ADVERTS popping up all the time.
Bloody awful new app
What have you done the app is now inaccessible and counter intuitive. Nobody can use it. It’s ridiculous it won’t load properly and your individual choices mean you can’t see anything. Really shot yourselves in the foot with this one hope you didn’t pay to much to have this designed. It flipping useless

Too many pop ups and videos are slow to play , Headlines somewhat attention grabbing

Notifications never open the full article when you click on one, the only way to view the article is to navigate away then go back to it. Also no option to zoom in on a photo. Finally - no option to search the app. So let’s give two examples of when this would be useful: You get told of an article that’s featured in the paper - you don’t buy the paper so you want to look up the web version - nope, desktop site only. Another example would be that you’ve had multiple notifications come through, you miss the one that you want, you clear your notifications by mistake, but remember seeing the title or headline - you can’t search so you have to browse the app for the one you want. Apart from that it’s okay - oh did I mention the generally poor standard of journalism written by 12 year olds? Anyway part from all of that - 3 stars. It does keep me up to date on news in my home town. Room for improvement in all areas. Other news apps have all of this functionality and work fine, so I can’t see a reason not to have it.

Absolutely horrendous amount of cookies to manually opt out of so called ‘legitimate interest’. A total lack of privacy with no option to reject all. Couple that with substandard articles and this app just isn’t worth having any more. The days of old when it was the DET in print are sadly long gone.
