Game changer
I was a major Salt skeptic. I matched with someone, sent them a message and got chatting. Year later and we are engaged. Guess Salt does work.
Feeling really disappointed
I find it hard to rate this app badly as it is a real blessing, however after having some technical issues for the last few months I left a review sharing this. Someone kindly replied and asked me to reach out via email which I did. Its been over a week since I emailed and send a follow up and nothing back at all. Dont know why I was asked to reach out if I was never going to be responded to. Its disappointing Salt, as this app is such a blessing with helping Christians in ways other app just can’t, always been a big advocate and follow on the socials which actually make me pretty sad now. I really Hope that something will change.
I don’t mind this app
Compared to all the other ones out there, this one has been my favorite. I personally want to connect with people outside my state and country so I love that there’s an option for that. I’m sad because I never got my free month of premium after my friend used my link to get her profile. But definitely worth a try if you are looking to find someone through a dating app:)
Fantastic app but……
Fantastic app. Probably the best for Christian dating app with the largest community in the UK. Especially good given how hard it can be to meet people in person when try to honour God. However after running into a technical issue (all the like I had received and intros I had received disappeared, messages stopped going through, all with no breaching of terms or standards) I was ignored by support after raising multiple help tickets so deleted my account and lost access to some special conversations I was in the middle of. I’ve prayed about it and thought I’d give Salt another go, went to sign up and my ID verification has been stuck in review for over a week. Again no reply from the support team. Super sad and disappointed about this Salt. Have been a major advocate of yours. Really wish this could be sorted, please!
Be prepared to wait
Badges and notifications don’t really work. Badges never appear on the app so be prepared to wait for someone to go in and see if there’s messages there great app extremely painful with basic features missing.
Would recommend
I was unsure about online dating, however met someone on Salt and got engaged to him, now my fiancé (!) yesterday. So it clearly works. Thank you!
Disappointed
The app very limited and has several bugs. When trying to unmatch with someone it wouldn’t let me. When trying to deleted the account it also wouldn’t let me.
Disappointing!
Lots of inactive accounts and/ or matches that don’t reply. It’s fairly easy to manage the inactive accounts and a number of other reviewers have pointed this out but it doesn’t seem that anything is being done about it by the developers. At this point, I believe it’s because they don’t want to do anything about it. Also too many people don’t bother to do their profile, like answering only a couple of questions with one-word cliched answers eg. “Your favourite book: The bible” 🙄 I’ve had many likes but very few actual matches, based on similar beliefs, outlooks, lifestyles etc. I had a couple of bad experiences; one guy turned hostile after I said I didn’t want to continue speaking as I didn’t think we were a good match. Another one guy turned out to be trying to recruit me to a cult! Not directly Salt’s fault as these kind of people can slip through. Premium features are good but seem over-priced compared to other dating apps. After giving it a fair run, overall just a disappointing experience. This app worked for some people who met their spouse but never worked for me. I’ve called it day and won’t be re-installing.
Unintuitive and intrusive.
Not only is the UI unintuitive compared to other platforms (buttons on screen don’t always make sense and often lead you to parts of the app you don’t want to be in) but they are now requiring I upload personal and government documents to prove I am a real person. I will not be disclosing my personal information to strangers because they claim it’s for safety. I WILL JOT SACRIFICE MY OWN SAFETY! Either remove this ridiculous intrusion or you will lose my use of the app and hopefully lose a number of additional users!
Some good some bad
I like how it’s more intentional, both frustrating and sensible to have a limit of how many profiles you see each day. I really don’t like how you are shown to people outside of your preferences, I feel a bit icky that my profile is being shown to older men who I don’t want to date, some of who can be a little inappropriate 🫠 Please could this be changed?
Met my husband
Great way to meet people you wouldn’t otherwise meet. On and off the app over a few years and eventually met a brilliant guy who’s now my husband. Thanks Salt!
No communication
Asked me to send an email to rectify an issue, sent the email, never responded. Nice work
Premium features aren’t fully working
Hi, my premium features aren’t fully working and it’s becoming a nightmare trying to ask for help. The autobot you have is no help and I’m sure it isn’t forwarding my request forms off for help from the team. I’ve filled that request form in numerous times over going back 3 weeks and I haven’t had a single reply. Please can someone reply to me and help me?
Disappointed
So far experiencing this app, you can’t do any thing without having to pay. At this point dating app are exhausting.
Great but expensive
It’s a great app with real, Christian members who want to find love. My only issue is that it is very expensive, if you don’t pay premium then you can’t see any of your likes. It would make more sense to advertise as a paid app, as the non premium version is stagnant.

Disappointing
I’m extremely disappointed with this app. All of my likes suddenly disappeared, and the people I was actively chatting with have stopped responding because our conversations seem to have vanished. I even paid for a subscription, hoping it would restore my chats or at least let me continue talking to the people I met here, but nothing changed. I also noticed that my recent conversations have disappeared, and the people who previously liked my profile are no longer showing up. It feels like all my progress on the app has been wiped out. Paying customers deserve a reliable service, not disappearing matches and lost conversations. Unless this issue is fixed, I can’t recommend this app to anyone.
Salt Table Freezes
Hi all great app, the only problem is when I select the salt table the app freezes every time.

Not a good enough platform to justify withholding so many people who ‘like’ your profile and to expect £15 for a WEEK to view them. I don’t think it encourages healthy use of the app, it’s just frustrating

Needs more users
I love that the app is focused on God and faith but there are very few people. All the profiles I would come across are more than 30 miles away. I used the app for about a month and didn't get a single match, so I decided to delete. It also limits the time/ people you swipe on for each day so you can use it all the time.

Technical Mess
Joined up. Paid for premium. Filled out profile. My profile was reviewed and found not good enough. So they restricted access. Spent time and effort updating. Still had logging in issues. Now account is deleted. Yet have paid for premium. Contacted help which whilst responding, informed me the app has issues when switching from phone data to WiFi. Asked for refund as not wasting 3 hours again only for all that to be deleted. Absolutely shocking app to have so many issues with a paid subscription. Really disappointing from a Christian standpoint, you expect this from other companies, not a company that pitches itself as having expected values.
Notifications
A great app for sincere Christians definitely. I just can’t seem to get notifications to function at all. Even after reinstalling. Perhaps it is a premium feature?
Not great
I love how it’s Christ-centred but it’s super buggy and often glitches. I’ve been locked out of my account and having issues getting back in. I was receiving message notifications but could not actually view them in the app.

Met my girlfriend in 24 hours
Downloaded salt, matched with this girl the next day. Fast forward 3 weeks and we’ve been on 8 dates, she’s the best, I recommend this app. 🤌🏼
Creepy
I had heard great things about this app and was keen to give it a go but the free features are terrible. You cannot set an age range without paying for premium which as a girl in her 20s I found uncomfortable. This therefore meant that I had people liking my account which were double my age which felt a bit off and uneasy leading me to delete my account and the app as a whole.
Nice
Overall, nice app. Easy to use & set up profile. Still need some caution as to genuine believers. Needs more users in my area but they are just getting started in my country. So, need alittle patience too. Still, I highly recommend.
I forgot why I deleted this app
I forgot why I deleted this app the 1st time & I had a very quick reminder 😑 this app only shows about 15-20 profiles a day. Which is a complete put off for me & others is sure “you’ve seen all today profiles” what…. What does that even mean than suggesting you to watch YouTube videos.
Good app but not the best update
I like Salt. I don’t like that height is now hidden, and it’s buggy when trying to scroll on someone’s profile.

Salt is absolutely amazing. It’s such a community you really wanna be. Although I haven’t found my soulmate yet but I hope I find soon.
Disappointing
Waste of time. SALT, you continue to claim that limiting the number of daily profiles is intended to encourage “intentional” and “prayerful” connections rather than mindless scrolling. But who are you to determine that users are engaging in mindless scrolling? If people join a dating app, should they not be allowed to spend adequate time searching for someone who genuinely aligns with what they are looking for? It raises the question of whether these restrictions are truly about meaningful connections, or simply a strategy to keep users returning daily so engagement metrics remain high. The app also feels extremely limited in other ways. For example, when searching for people who are online, I’m being shown users based in the US while I’m located in the UK. Shouldn’t that be my decision to make if I want to widen my search that far geographically? Another issue is the age range being shown online. I’m a mature person, yet I’m regularly shown individuals between 20 and 40 years old, which is outside of my interest range. Is the lack of proper country and age filtering designed to create the impression that there are plenty of active users online, when in reality only a small number may actually fit the preferences users are searching for?
Stick with it
Update: have used SALT off and on almost 2 years. At points it felt really deflating when I did not meet someone timely, or had a bad date. I did however recently match someone and it’s been 10 months and going strong. My advice is be patient and prayerful. Also on the odd occasion it helps to pay for premium to boost your profile & match with more people x
Account randomly deleted
Account was randomly deleted and could not be found by email address. No explanation or anything from SALT.
Great app, though buggy after latest update
Great app, great people behind it. However, the latest update (introducing the ‘online now’ feature) has made it quite buggy and slower. I couldn’t scroll to read full profiles (‘meet people’) without force closing the app and opening again. Scrolling through a profile doesn’t seem as seemless. Also when reading a profile, it’s easy to accidentally swipe into the ‘online now’ mode. Generally the app seems slower. Sure they’ll sort it out though.

Not worth paying for premium
Not worth £29.99. The app has very limited options, and it quickly feels repetitive. I found myself forcing conversations with people I wasn’t interested in because there weren’t many matches. Nice concept, but overall not worth the money.

Few Profiles
The features on Salt create a positive network of dating profiles and group therapy for singles. But one super annoying feature is that sending a message automatically likes a person. Kind of lame!! If you send a message to ask a person to clarify their vague profile statements, it both sends the message, and auto ♥️s them. C’mon. You App Developers should show some nuance. You’re better than that.
Great app
If you’re intentional about your faith and dating according to your faith then this is the app to find like minded and faithed people. I absolutely love that this app exists and has changed the dating game for the better for me 🫶🏽

Overall, I think it’s a good app for Christian dating. However there is a bug with premium where the ‘Likes You’ list in the messages tab doesn’t show the correct people relating to your preferences and some people who like you on the main page, don’t show in that ‘Likes You’ list. Also more options for preferences would be nice such as politics, interests, denomination, etc. and please allow more profiles to be viewed each day. Thanks

Seems to be far to many “ghost profiles” and far to many Christian’s not paying to msg people back It’s debatable how often people log into this app as well as some aren’t even responding within 48hrs Are they really liking your profile or is it a bot as well it’s debatable or they just don’t have membership to be able to respond slightly beats object of dating app I’ll see if winter brings better luck as it is summer and we are all busy and out and about as well
Normally great
I’ve previously had good experiences with this app and meeting genuine people but as it’s grown, there are definitely more on there who aren’t Christian and are clearly just trying to widen their options away from the mainstream apps. I have recently run into issues with the app saying I need to change things on my profile as there may be content that offends people (I have absolutely no idea what it’s referring to as it’s pretty much the same as it was last time I joined and had no issues then, there’s no offensive language or anything?) and that I needed to give fuller answers- I’m the queen of run on sentences so, again, not sure where the issue is? And it won’t show my profile until I fix the issues…. Butttt I’m unable to email back to clarify what exactly they think is an issue.
