Atmosphere: Relaxing Sounds reviews
4.8 out of 5, based on 7,584 reviews.
What people like
- One-time payment instead of annoying subscription
- Mix sounds and adjust volume freely
- Great for blocking noise while sleeping
What they complain about
- Timer stops working when screen turns off
- Ads block the bottom sound controls
- Support link is dead and unhelpful
Finally Sleep
I love being able to mix different sounds to help me sleep at night. This app is a godsend.
Inappropriate ads
I got rid of this app because the ads on the bottom were inappropriate. I hadn't paid any attention to the ads and used the app for for while. Tonight I went to turn on the white noise and saw a bunch of inappropriate stuff on the bottom. Not cool! Do not recommend this app!
FINALLY!
Free ACTUALLY MEANS FREE! And YOU get to play, pick AND SAVE YOUR FAVORITE MIXES!! I’ve Only played w/ it this one time but I TRULY ENJOYED IT! And Thanks to this I Think I’ve even found things I can MEDITATE TO! That I made myself! Thank you! PLEASE KEEP EM COMING! Sincerely Me, Myself and I. lol
Limit of 6 sounds is unreasonable
I paid to remove ads and thought maybe I would also remove the cap of 6 sounds, but no. The arbitrary limit is stuck with you for good.
ANDRE’ REGINALD CHATMON
yes ANDRE’ REGINALD CHATMON a winner body atmosphere done
Not supposed to rate it
I didn’t want to rate the app. I just pressed the red button and it lead here. Sad you got a 1 star review.
Amazing app, just needs a few more accessibility features
This is an amazing app and generally, it works very well with VoiceOver on my IPhone. But there could be some improvements made. This has been very helpful though.
Beware
Excessive collection of user data and sharing with 3rd parties.
Stops and starts
The app occasionally will stop and then jarringly start at full volume a few minutes later, waking me up
5 Stars
Only reason I get good sleep! 👌😴🛏️
Great App
But unfortunately cannot airplay
Pretty Good But…
I really like this app. Everything is very nice. Only problem is that I can’t share my combination with my friends when I click on the share it button it just turned me back to the homepage and then the app is closed. I had to re-open it and it just won’t work hopefully it will be fixed.
Good free version but…
I cannot get the timer to work. I set the timer yet the sounds never stop. Frustrating Have iPhone 15+
Need alarm fix
I like the app. However, I have reminder alarms on my phone. When an alarm goes off, the app does not continue to play. It remains stopped. I have to navigate into my favorites and restart the app. It would be nice if the app would continue to play after an alarm goes off. If that gets fixed, 5 stars.
Amazing
It is an amazing game but one thing there are only 2 options for music and I don’t really like either I suggest that you add some more music like the ones on peaceful music videos on YouTube
Need support
I used it every single night. However now my speaker on my iPhone is blown out (the top one) !!!!!! It happened when I started used this app every night specifically the thunder!!!! I need someone to contact me because now every sound on my phone is crackled.
Keeps stopping !!!
? 😥
Timer doesn’t work properly.
Could be good but can’t get the timer to work properly. I tried changing settings on my iPhone times and had a look at web suggestions. The timer stops working when the screen switches off. Shame as it spoils what could have been a good app.
Love 👏it 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I can listen to custom sounds!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
What the?! This app is great! except for one thing you should change…
I love the collection of sounds and I also love how you can change the volume on different sounds. The only problem is the adds. I have to pay to get rid of the adds. Now that’s totally understandable, the thing that is not understandable is: any sounds on the bottom row, I can’t change the sound because the adds are in the way. I would love to see that change
Where’s the pause button???
There is no way to pause this app without having to go into it and manually close it down. Great selection of sounds but could really use a way of pausing from the Lock Screen.
A Pleasant Surprise
So glad I found this app! Happened totally by accident but it has been an incredible tool. I use it all the time to help drown out background noise while reading, help meditating and a great tool for sleep. Such a great find!
Timer won’t work! Screen has to stay on.
Have to leave the screen on and unlocked all night for the timer to work. No use to me to help me sleep if I have to have the screen lighting up the room all night. Have tried on iPad and iPhone. Shame as the sounds are pretty good.
Extremely helpful
As a tinnitus sufferer who has not been sleeping properly, this app was recommended by a friend. I’m getting much better sleep now so I’m very grateful.

Sonido genial, temporizador no funciona
perfect for reading
there are many options to mix to your liking, and you can save your favorite sound scenes to listen to whenever. I like ambient sound when I read and this way I can fine-tune the sounds and get full immersion
Love it but more variety would be nice
Especially when it comes to thunderstorms. The thunder sounds a bit tinny so it would be great to see a wider variety of storms and rain sounds as well as maybe calmer seas and rougher seas.
Please fix!
For some reason the sound has completely stopped working! There is no sound when I click on each icon! I was very excited for this app but for some reason it’s not working!:(
This app is a wonderful invention of an app.
If you ever need background noise that you are used to and don’t have at the moment this app is for you. Like if you like beach sounds they have sounds of the beach. Another example is city sounds, you get traffic noise, people talking, the sound of trains moving and more. This app is so innovative and an amazing app. I also love you also have the option to change the volume in the sound. If one day you want to hear more of the waves then the seagulls and then you want the opposite then you have the option to change the volume.
Hearing static noise while using headphones .
I use my headphones while listening to most noises to calm and isolate myself . When I use the “CLOCK NOISE” after each click sound I hear static noise , which completely ruined my experience . Fix the static noise between each click while using headphone , happens with some other noises too.
Max number of sounds seems unnecessary.
I like the app a lot expect that the app has a maximum amount of sounds you can have playing at once and it seems to be a little unnecessary. I would really appreciate if they didn’t have that. Otherwise it’s a fantastic app!
Good noisemaker app
I like the variety of sounds available, and especially that the full app is available via a one time payment, rather than a subscription.
No option to get rid of ads
This is a lovely app but I won’t have ads and there doesn’t seem to be an option to pay to get rid of them. So I’m sorry but delete. Tried to contact support but it’s a dead link.
Great App
I never write reviews but I love this app, the sounds are amazing and so relaxing. Only problem, when I take out my AirPods the music continues to play out of my phone. If there was a setting to stop this from happening would easily give 5 stars. Thanks for the great app
Timer option not working
When I play music n tried to set timer n without any option app is crashing
A True Gem
I’ve been using this app since 2016, it’s now 2026 and I still love it. I hope it never goes away. Although its rare, its quite useful and soothing. I plan on using the app for a while. 💕🌸⭐️
Stops playing
As soon as my phone screen times out and phone turns off the app stops playing. Not great if I want o keep this on all night.
Easy to use app
I really like this app. Found it very useful as background noise when working or if I’m wanting to relax. The recordings are realistic and I like how they’re grouped in themes. The only improvement would be to make the audio loop longer on some of the recordings. Thanks!
What happened?!
Used to be a 5 star app until I opened it recently (haven’t used it for awhile.) Looks like the last update gave the app a major downgrade, how disappointing. I hope there is another one out there that can replace it.
NICE SOUNDS BUT...
no pause button?? why? everytime i have to add or remove a sound i have to go to that page cause there is no option that shows which sounds have been selected really if these two features are added then no doubt this will be the best app in appstore but till then i got no other option but to give 3 stars
