Disappointing because . . .
Great challenging questions BUT . . . When you answer correctly, you are awarded say 3, 4 or 5 etc. points. When you answer incorrectly, the points you lose are in double digits. Why aren’t you explaining this reason upfront ?
One problem
Super fun with ACTUAL hard questions. Lately, a lot of picture links are broken that make it impossible to guess correctly. I’ll be answering questions then I’m hit with a “GT5557-28DRRT-BH5Y-HJ77” and the answers are all Renaissance painters. Other than that, great app.
Stopped working
The app stopped working for me a while ago and there hasn’t been any updates to fix it. Too bad. I loved it
Ridiculously obscure
As per title. reached I think it was about 1720 or thereabouts, gave up. It doesnt tell you your score to date that I could see, crazy specialist knowledge needed for approx 3/4 of these "general knowledge" questions. once you pass the simpler stuff. Weird particles that Brian Cox may be comfy with, who outside India might know what internal statelet is sandwiched between two others? These are very far from general knowledge. Compared to Mastermind's general knowledge questions this quiz starts off easy but attains highly specialised levels that no doubt specialists in each field would answer without issue. Then the next one - on a different specialism - would have them stuck. Its obscurity makes it too tough to be entertaining.
5+ years and we’ve just reached level 2!
Excellent general knowledge quiz! We play wherever we are in the world, in a queue, at the pub, at the airport… you get the drift!

This has the potential to be a great game if they could fix the bugs. I have been having the same issue for over a year - you have reached the end Eli rating xxx - I have tried reaching support - no one answers, no one cares, no one wants to help. It’s terrible
The core functionality of the app makes the dodgy areas worth it!
Core functionality is great with excellent questions and the ‘learn’ function is great for…‘learning’. However, the elo distribution doesn’t seem to work since my position doesn’t move with my rating. After using the app for almost 2 years, the game centre functionality appeared with no update.

Points system seems rigged
You can get 10 questions in a row right and only increase your score by around 50 points, but get 5 questions wrong and you can drop down by as much as 100.

Rating doesn’t work
Quiz is good, but the Rating Distribution % doesn’t ever update, so it’s impossible to track progress against others unfortunately

Super Spiel -aber!
Mein langjähriges Lieblingsspiel. Seit Update auf Version 1.2.3 leider nicht mehr spielbar. Alle Fragenfelder leer. Bitte fixen! Ergänzung: Nur durch Neuinstallation lauffähig zu bekommen. Natürlich alle Daten, aktuelle Punkte und Ergebnisse der Sonntags-Quize weg. Jetzt sehr viele Fragen zu Bildern, insgesamt aber nur noch wenige Fragen, die sich ständig wiederholen. Schade! Spiel hat enorm an Reiz verloren.

First of all I love this game and been playing for years but it says you can invite and play with friends but there’s no indication how this can actually be done, please someone help. Then I’ll upgrade to 5 stars

Same problem as other reviewer. No questions appear and when I try to start a match it crashes.
The best trivia game
No nonsense, no silly progress maps or weird incentive things - just solid multiple choice questions with covering a huge variety of subjects. Some are easy some are extremely esoteric. I’ve been playing for years and it’s excellent. Current version v1.2.5 seems to have some issues with ios16, making the app non-functional but hoping the dev gets them fixed soon and we’re back in business.

I enjoy the questions and the format of the application, but i am very frustrated by the inability to pay to remove ads permanently. There is nothing i hate more than being forced to watch ads. I have used this app for a few years and they have slowly fixed the issues/bugs. I hope that they continue to improve.

Really Great App, Just One Thing
I really enjoy playing this app, the questions are very diverse, and I’ve only ever had a couple of repeat questions. The only thing that I would change is having a standardized point system available to the player, so that you know how many points you’ll gain or lose from each question.

Not being able to avoid taking part in the Sunday quiz or seeing the results on Monday is really annoying

New Version 1.2.3 does not display any questions and closes the app when tapping your score
So annoying!
It’s a great addictive quiz and for free, many thanks Christopher, but.... why, oh why, oh why are so many points deducted for some wrong answers (I have seen -25). This is so annoying when you only get a few points for correct answers regardless of difficulty. There seems to be no logic to it and it spoils the enjoyment, but I still can’t stop playing!

Quiz ansonsten sehr gut, teilweise schwierige Fragen stürzt aber bei Match mit anderen immer wieder ab, bzw. bleibt „hängen“
Coole App, jedoch mit vielen Problemen…
Sehr gute App, hat mich oft beschäftigt und viel wissenswertes beigebracht. ALLERDINGS: 1. Ich habe das Quiz seit kurzem anscheinend durchgespielt und wenn ich auf nochmal spielen drücke, kommt genau das gleich wieder nach einer kurzen Pause… muss das Spiel wahrscheinlich neuinstallieren? 2. Oft wiederholen sich Fragen, wobei das eher beim offline spielen auffällt 3. Beim Match sieht man kurz bevor die Zeit abläuft die richtige Lösung und man ist in der Lage, die richtige Antwort noch zu drücken… Generell gibt es da einige Probleme, wodurch man viele Matches verliert bzw auch gewinnt, zum Beispiel lädt die Frage nicht und man hat angeblich das Spiel verlassen oder es kommen auf einmal doppelt so schnell Fragen und sieht nicht mehr, was der Gegner antwortet und dann hat man einfach verloren. 4. Meine Elozahl wurde mir nach einigen Matches falsch angezeigt(weiß nicht ob es an den Matches liegt) rechts oben stand 1709(bsp) aber beim Graph wurde nur 1637 angezeigt… Hoffe das ändert sich noch mit der Zeit, da ich sehr viel Spaß hatte…
Absolutely wonderful!
I have never written a review before but I felt I had to for this amazing game. It is so underrated. Amazing apps with hardly any ads and no purchases are a rarity now but they are amazing. It has a multiplayer mode to put your skills to the test and an option to learn about your previous question which takes you to the wikipedia page. Every quizzers dream. Honestly what more could you ask for!
Far Too Difficult, Forces You Into Sunday Challenge
I find the questions are often ridiculously difficult, especially when you go over 1900. This would not be so bad, but it makes you feel crappy about it watching your score dwindle - I’m playing for me, not against others. Save scores for your Sunday Challenge for goodness sake. Speaking of which, when you click cancel to get out of the Sunday Challenge, it doesn’t cancel, you are forced into it. The Sunday Challenge is where you should be rated, not random play. After having the results pop up and clicking cancel but being forced into viewing them, I’ve had enough and am going to delete the app after a couple of years.

Good but questions need improving
Very few ads and unlimited questions make a great app but questions only follow a few themes so doesn’t ask for rounded general knowledge. For example there are a lot of questions based on composers, but not on any other type of music
Sunday quiz reveal
For the last few weeks the answers to the Sunday quiz have not been showing up. It’s just a blank page. The history and placement tabs work just not the solutions.
Stop moaning
Guys it’s a free app great set of questions testing intellectual capacity. None of that television or pop culture rubbish. There’s also a learn button with a link to a Wikipedia page for the topic of the question, very thoughtful and must have been time consuming to create that. The only thing i’d mention is when you click learn, the current question skips, because you leave the app. Otherwise, good app. Well done.

Hours of trivia fun
I have the residents of a senior living community play this, and they spend hours and hours answering the questions. Some suggestions: A Settings option to set the speed when the next question is displayed, and American History Questions.
Ads
I love the app but it’s not great that you have to agree to let them access info for personalised advertising. If you insist on ads then you should make an option that allows you to continue without having to agree this, no one watches the ads anyway so personally I don’t care if there personalised. GDPR ring any bells?
