- Inconsistent app updates and stale news content
Excellent news
Very surprised about how much information I can get
Deleted
An app that you can no longer read news unless you subscribe to premium - they also control which articles you can comment on, which is very strange. Don’t bother - use the BBC local pages for Bristol
First Class
I use it all the time. It will get even better I’m sure. Great work guys.
Was okay. Now gatekeeping news
This was a reasonably useful portal for Bristol news. But increasingly the premium label is put on live report reports, effectively forcing you to pay, and making the free version pretty much pointless. It’s a shame, it was nice but now won’t be bothering.
No update on top stories.for over a week.
Normally quite good, but the last week no updates on their top stories, no response when you contact them to inform them. In this 24/7 world this should have been rectified quicker.
Enjoy app
I like to see headlines for my local area. To the point and useful
Shameful!
Can only read 7 articles per week unless you pay. Wouldn’t mind paying for qualty content but most of it is so poorly written or rehashed old stories, that it is not worth it. APP DELETED
Not bad
It’s a pain having to login each time app is opened before you can post a comment on news report. Would be easier if could stay logged in or use Touch ID to login.
The Bad News App
Depressing headline after depressing headline 😞
Bristol Live App
The information on numerous subjects are okay, but, sometimes l’ve clicked on a link to read stuff, up pops something entirely different from what l expected!? Bit annoying really to say the least.
Great app...but
I love this app and the news is up to date. The comment section is full of trolls who have nothing good to say about the writers of the articles which is a sad indication of the world today
Terrible
Terrible layout and far too many ads.
Hopeless
Forever showing wind up articles poiliticly biased and app keeps going wrong
Comments link gone
Yes,comments sections can be awful, but if you did leave a comment you could see in the app if anyone had replied. Now you get an email notification (not especially wanted) with what usually is someone’s terrible reply, which then takes you to the website not the app. It’s hard to refind stories in the app. So that was a good feature and it’s a shame it’s been changed.
Bristol Post
Well done, keep it going.
Useless
I’ve been trying to update this app for two hours now it’s just going round and round and now I want to delete it but I can’t seem to remove it Eva I don’t know what’s going on
News flash
Every time you get a news report on your phone it not on the site waste of time alerting you if you can not read it ! It could be so much better !
It’s ok, but it could be better!
Main issue I have with this app is, when I select the notification of a news story it opens app at the homepage and then you have to search for the story!? Seems to be a bit pointless to me. Can also sometimes requires more signal to load stories as well.
Bristol Post
Absolutely love this app, keeps me so up to date on all the news here in Bristol. Keep up the good work everyone it’s really appreciated. Heather Chandler, St George.
What a waste totally useless reporters
Most reviews you can’t leave a comment

Good local news app. Useful information and notifications are 95% sensible so would recommend switching them on. Would be great if the comments were removed and the trolls silenced. The hate is horrible. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review.
Ok but freezes if you open more than 3 features
This app was excellent but the latest update has ruined it, if you read more than 3 features 1 after the other then the app will freeze and you have to start all over again
Laughable
One star at best 👎 the app keeps crashing or the page just freezes! It’s full of spelling mistakes and some of the articles are just laughable. Not impressed at all.
App not updating
This App is so annoying as it does not update, have to uninstall it and reinstall it every day. Help!!!
Messy and quite slow
This app is too add heavy making pages slow to load. They often cause problems where you will open a page, and all you will get is the title forcing you to out and back in to get the article. Push notifications are terrible and do t link to the actual article. This is very irritating
Bristol post
Very informative
Needs fixing
I’m very frustrated with this app. It should be worthy of a 5 star rating but lately I’ve noticed that when I tap on an article & start reading, I get half way through & it disappears. The app logo appears & I have to open the app & find the article & start again. Then the same thing happens again! I’ve got better things to do than get frustrated trying to read something that mysteriously disappears in front of my eyes knowing that I’ll only be wasting even more time trying to repeat the process. Please fix this annoying problem & I’ll be only too happy to adjust my rating & submit a more positive review.
Th
Great app for local news
Rubbish
Never updates properly
Easy five star
This is easily a five star app. I had been trying to keep updated with local news and this app does that simple and promptly. I have missed so much local news before I got this app.
What’s happened ?
What’s happened to Bristol live ? It used to be informative and up to date. I’m afraid it no longer is. My local news is trivial and regularly two days old.
Housewife
Great app much better than the old version that always had pop ups
Mr
This app constantly crashes, very poor.
