i cannot figure out how to change this to apple maps instead of google or there just not an option like that
How far is it?
I don’t normally write reviews on apps. But there weren’t many, so……. This app is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to plot a trip with mileage son knew where to stop for gas. My car only get 240 miles to the tank, and going across the country, I wanted to know where to get gas. Especially when driving thru a desert. The app works for other things too, like figuring the area of a property Lot, or a town. Nice, but not what I needed. Very specific latitude and longitude as well at height above sea level. Probably good for pilots. This app is a keeper. Neal from Buffalo, NY
Never should have changed it
App was working till the updated and changed format. It’s worthless now. Just deleted it!
Inverted
Great app- When I invert my iPad mini the Measure Map screen stays upside down and won’t rotate like the rest of the iOS apps. Works in portrait and landscape mode.
Great for my application
I have used this app to map my 1.4 acre property and mark where I have or may add wire antennas for my ham radio station. Much better and more permanent than using a 160 foot measuring tape, pencil, and paper. W9ZSJ Later. Remarks about Measure Map app Terse Instructions appear when program is initiated. Had to delete app and reload to see them again. Took much experimenting to actually grasp what instructions meant and how to put them together for a measuring session. “It’s easy if you know how.” and “Practice makes perfect.” if you know what to practice. The one word descriptions under the menus are not sufficient to indicate the functions, implications, and sequence of use of some of the pull-down options. Little blue man indicating my location “wanders around”, apparently the GPS seeking an accurate measurement of my location. Should be explained and instructions given to wait, ignore, or what action to take. Role of the anchor point not clear. Couldn’t move the “base crosshair” where I wanted it by touching and sliding it, but I later discovered that I could slide the map until it sat where I wanted it. It turned out that this was the main step I did not understand. Instead of moving the cursor to the location desired, one moves the underlying map so that the location desired is positioned under the cursor. I would imagine that 100% of people trying to record a position would do it in the former way and not realize that the second approach is to be used. Some will “discover” this immediately. How many would fail to discover the right way and never make the program work correctly? Seemed to change to area mode without my involvement. Could have been accidental touching of screen? While measuring distances in my yard, such accidental touching and subsequent placing of an unintended drop point occurred often. If that is realized before the next desired data is recorded, the unintended point(s) may easily be removed with the “back arrow”. Size was a problem on iPhone. Pop up ads took over screen, prevented seeing data, and effecting app functions during learning phase. And, getting a pop-up urging the purchase of “Tic Tok” is not likely to sell to many users of this program. Once I changed to my iPad, the program was much more comfortable to use. However, the “inadvertent touching” was still a problem. A new user should be apprised of this. Operations seemed to switch to area measure w/o my help, it was probably due to “inadvertent touching”. I looked into upgrading and paying for it to get the advantages listed in the app. I had in mind paying about $5. I like to pay for apps that I use more than occasionally. I thought I took advantage of a “free” upgrade, then was charged $5.99. That was a deal-breaker, and I backed out. If I had known that it cost that much at the outset, I probably would have paid. I rejected another similar app because it is $14.99/quarter, too much for non-professional, occasional use. Use of English should be reviewed by a native speaker. The meaning of some Messages is clear, but the way they are expressed is not “colloquial” to an English speaker. I don’t think Americans are biased against Asian programmers, but they are “put off” by poor use of our language. “Bye me a coffee” means “Goodbye me a coffee” It should be “Buy me a coffee”. But the only way to “buy” seems to be to pay you $5.99. Not clear what “Restore purchase” means. “Measurement store” is probably correct, but it may confuse those who don’t often use “store” as “a place to keep things” but instead think “a place where I buy things”. The same word has two meanings as a noun and another as a verb. Another example of two words that are spelled the same and sound the same but have totally different meanings. I’m glad I don’t have to learn English from scratch. ————- Assumptions are made by the programmer that a user will understand the use of the app with little introduction, terse descriptions, and no examples. But assumptions that are obvious to the creator of a program are not inherently clear to a new user. I found the somewhat detailed description on the App Store (a STORE where BOTH apps are kept AND apps are sold) after I had started to use the app. I really didn’t think about going back to the App Store and yearned for an instruction manual or a YouTube video.

Not intuitive to use
I find this app frustrating and not very intuitive. I am generally trying to do something like place a building with a certain square foot floor plan onto a landscape and it is very hard for me to figure out how to create an object of the right size and then move it around to situate it in different ways.
Accuracy
Thanks a lot, please make accurate
Won’t stop putting points
How come we can’t stop putting points once I have an area mapped out I want to be able to edit and save, it keeps wanting me to put a points
highway construction inspector
works great for validating my measurements especially with irregukar perimeters and area calculations. THANKS
Not angry , its just worthless
Do you wanna know how many times I’ve tried to use this for an estimate , during crunch time , gotta get it done and it wont search for address because it is having one of its moods. There is no support , no functions to help . Please, the app developers or on lunch break for this app. It’s a comedy of tragedy
Works great!
The app is pretty accurate with measurements I just wish they would allow for pins to be edited to add or change the name of them.
Not sure yet
Not used it enough to be use to it
Very Accurate
I’ve used this program to estimate lots and other properties we have thought of purchasing. I’ve checked it’s accuracy at different scales measuring football fields. Spot on Our attorney was cutting out a piece of property for us. This program I measured at .35 of an acre. The survivors and attorney finished plot was .38 I’m very pleased with this app Mick West Virginia
Don’t hit the search icon mid-project
If you accidentally hit search icon, the search bar and keyboard pop up. No “X out” option so you have to search for something then go back to your project.
