What people like
- Works where other apps fail.
- Easy and simple to use.
- Completely free with no bugs.
What they complain about
- Crashes when typing URLs.
- Fails to write specific tags.
- Writes garbage data instead of links.
Works very well!
Great app overall. Very easy to use.
URI records dont work
The process for writing a correct URI tag is so broken and buggy. eg, typing http:// wil crash the app. however, writing a tag without it is not correctly formatted, so ios will not detect them. You must type the host portion then scroll to the beginning and at the protocol. it is horrible
Business cards
I wish it was possible to select/deselect fields from a contact when copying a business card to an NFC tag. Also when writing a progress animation and password protection options would be a good feature. Otherwise it appears to perform as expected.
Doesn’t support all the tags it says it does?
I bought Type V ICODE SLIX tags specifically because the app description said they would supported. None of the NXP apps allow me to write to them though. The NXP Info app lets me read it but I can’t write. Really sad. I lost a lot of money on this.
Would not work on my iPhone SE2
I tried this app with my little iPhone SE 2 and could not get it to read the nfc chip on a recently purchased ATUVOS Find My tracker. I then loaded NFC Tools app and it had no trouble. Apparently pre iPhone 13 you do need an extra app but 13 onwards it should read in background. Just my experiences.
Best app
Easy and simple
URL Doesn’t work
I keep trying to write a common URI to a URL like https://google.com, but the app keeps reverting to Custom URL for the URI, leaving out the crucial https:// protocol when writing to a tag.
Launch Applicatiob
how do i go about it?
Just Works.
Does everything well that other nfc apps don’t. Read and writes tags that failed elsewhere.
App has major bugs.
When you try to write a url it is buggy and needs you to type in url data before picking URI type otherwise you cannot continue. But the second bug to that is that it does not write the url header. And if you try to manually type in a URI when you type in a second slash the program crashes
Perfect for NFC implant
Works great for my xiiisd implant. Scans perfectly under skin. I write my links on implant or some other info. Free app and never crashes
Coding needs updating
When through all steps to save URL. It appears to save but when you read data it shows garbage. I used another app to read data it added u in front of my URL and my description at the back. So link never works
Ad free and works well enough
I’ve had a pretty good success rate with this app, and I think any problem I am having is just the fact that iPhones don’t have very good NFC. Had some bugs in old version may be fixed now.
Crashes and unable to read tag
The app constantly crashes. When a wifi ssid tag is written it cannot be read by iPhone 12.
It has done what it’s supposed to do
I’ve just set up my nfc using it this app . It was complete free . It did take some patience but after 2/3 tries . My website finally on my nfc sticker 🌟
Inferior to Android version
I use this app on Android and am very disappointed in this iOS version. Scanning a blank NFC215 tag just shows a not-informative error message. How about displaying all information about the tag? At least one other app here on iOS does this.
Great for coding tags!
I see a lot of negative reviews, but this app worked perfectly and very easily for me. I bought some NFC stickers from Amazon to attach to physical business cards and I was able to code them in literal seconds! I’ve been able to make these tags go to websites, contact cards, and log into Wi-Fi but haven’t tried the other features yet. I can see that it may be a little confusing the first time you use it but I’ve gotta say it was a fast and good experience.
Does not work at this time
I cannot even get it to recognize the NFC chip that states will work. Their other app (tag info) will recognize the NFC chip every time.
Works perfect
I tried to write my tags and it worked perfectly without any bug. Thank you for developing such a helpful app!
bad
Wanted to write some tags from existing data but this app doesn’t support the upload of .bin files.
Junk
Does not work i.e crashes often and does not read any tags. Appears to be abandoned? What a junk. NXP’s data sheets for their nfc tag chips aren’t much better either.
Not Updated
App needs to be updated to add more features now that capability in iOS is there.
