Hella fun and cool
Warms up iPhone 16 pro Max your senseless update 2.0.1
Heats up the phone after your meaningless update from 2.0 to 2.0.1, when Napoleon does not heat up, and Rome warms up although version 2.0 did not warm up from the word at all, but the update of version 2.0.1 warms the phone so much that I don't want to play at all, I hope there will be a fix in winter to fix the meaningless heating
Decent
Very good, like all Total War games, but I have one gripe. I played the entire campaign, got within one settlement of victory, and Alexander died while wandering the mountains, looking for the final settlement. I wasted several turns trying to cross an apparently uncrossable river in the southeast, with a settlement perched just across, untouchable. Poor design.
Don’t get it
Personal I thought the game would be fun but there’s like 5 factions not nice they are somewhat nice but don’t buy it I wasted my money there just not a lot of factions in my opinion

Not a fan of the small map and only one faction to use
I love the games you guys make absolutely incredible but not a fan of the small map and only having one faction to join and sometimes having enemy troops spawn so close you dont get a chance to plan. But still love the games keep em coming
CRASH
Many time I have a crash made me lose a battle I won. It crash at the end and that crash respawn all of the enemy and spawn my troop anyhow or change the battle so how I can win a game if I loose many battles for a stupid crash.

Good with some flaws
This game was good on custom battles however it would not line up the troops in the ranks that you want as you can in other total war games. On the campaign I could only play as Macedonia and there was no marrying your sons or even adopted sons off to continue the bloodline. There are many things that were enjoyable for me as well though. Some of these things may just be because I didn’t realise certain things or have been fixed so you may want to take this review with a grain of salt

Overall, I believe this game is really good, much like it’s other sister games. The main flaw I see is that ROME: Total War - Alexander just is not repayable enough, with historical battles not being good (different review for a different time), only four factions for custom battles, and only the one Alexander campaign, which you must play the exact same way every time if you want to win (go through Persia, take the key settlements in time or you lose). With most of my review directed towards the cracks, it is easy to forget the beauty of this mosaic. While there is only one campaign, it is a pretty good one, the time limit forcing a new rush into your actions that other campaigns often lack. The historical battles are also great, their problems being the problems with all historical battles. In summary, this game deserves either the four stars I gave it, or three if you think the problems are worse than I believe. Great game Feral, I love it!

Victory conditions is an absolutely stupid idea. It truly has ruined an otherwise good game. Waste of money.

It’s good but the content is kind of lacking I get it’s supposed to focus on Alexander's campaign but I mean cmon there’s only like 3 factions 6 if you include the 3 other ones that are simply reskins and the map looks like it was drawn by a toddler either only get this if you enjoy short fast pace campaigns and don’t care about historical accuracy 3/5

Disappointed
From Total:Rome to Total:Unplayable.
One considerable flaw
For those of you who don’t know, this developer has created what may be the most profound representation of the Hellenistic era within the video game industry; the battle controls and campaign immersion are hard to beat and were impossible to compare to in it’s day when it was originally released. This game as well as it’s base program will always be one of the best strategy games ever in my opinion, but this expansion has one brutal and inexcusable flaw in that the campaign doesn’t include India or the Hindu Kush Mountains, the lands of myth and legends at the edge of Alexander’s known world, just past of which he and his armies would finally be forced to turn around. I found it hard to believe the first time I beat the campaign. I feel the expansion is not complete; it ended so abruptly that it seemed like a slap to the face even though I was suspicious of the map border the whole time. Because of this I’d say the expansion lacks length as well as informative depth and history. It’s still a great play and an excellent way to get a kid interested in Greek history, but without a multiplayer add on or other faction campaigns it will lack replay ability compared to it’s base game. I still highly recommend the game for anyone who likes the vanilla RTW, but it hardly emphasizes the accomplishes of Alexander the Great and doesn’t give any insight to his companions or their history.
How to improve
It how it could be improved : It is a very good game but I think that if you ad a campaign without turns it would be better, I would like to play the full campaign but I always run out of turns
Nice to see it but had overall
Nice to see total war on iOS but the fact is the AI has no clue what it’s doing it’s hard to control a lot of what going in the game due to it being complicated which it was never this bad on pc please fix the controls make the more simple

Half hearted attempt
I would consider this game over a rip-off. I loved the game fun to play but it’s only an expansion upon the old one and it 1 10th the content.
Boring
Only one faction one the campaign but it’s ok then you have only 100 turns to finish the game it’s not okay and then there is no India 🇮🇳 on the campaign map and there is no diplomat unit so there is no diplomacy only war And exept Persia and Macedon all other factions have same units It’s not enjoyable anymore need to improve the game by a major update including new factions including India on faction map as playable!

Worst game I ever played as it consistently cheats. Every time you make progress loads of your cities revolt and within one turn have fully gained and equipped armies. This coincides with you being unable to recruit or hire any troops for over 20 turns. On one occasion Persepolis revolted 6 times in a row despite having exterminated the population each time retaken. Garbage game, do not buy.

Decent game, but disappointing
Same standards of graphics and mechanics as both Rome and Barbarian Invasion. However, you only are allowed to play as Macedonia, the map is quite warped, and you only have until Alexander dies to pretty much conquer the entire map. If the time limit wasn’t there and you can play as all other factions, it would have gotten 5 stars. This is not worth the $5 it takes to buy it. Maybe $2 at best. $1 would be a better price for the lack of an extensive campaign

I don’t have a PC and I love total war so when I got this I was so happy. Now you should add more total wars like empire total war I would buy that right away and play it all day but overall amazing game
Controls?
I own the entire franchise on PC so was excited to try on iPad. When you try and direct your troops in battle, they seem to scatter in different directions. It is difficult to see your troops even when trying to zoom out. I watched tutorials online but the controls do not seem to work…and make the game impossible to play. Fail.

Very redundant
A great gaming system is bogged-down by limitations. I enjoy campaigns and Alexander is limited to being Alexander in every campaign. Doesn’t match-up well with the other Rome Total War versions which allow you to be literally a dozen or more different nations facing various adversaries.... Same great gaming system, but now too limited.

Controls in battle seem overwhelming and confusing
I don’t know whether I find it hard to play because I’m totally new to this game genre or not however I find the tutorial, which are videos on YouTube rather lacking and while I am trying to enjoy the game, the fact that there isn’t a physical part of the game to learn by yourself without effecting actual game time. It’s a lot to learn and I just need somewhere where I can do it for myself... I will not remember all of the info given in 10 videos worth by just reading. If this changes I’d hope to give a 5/5

I just recently finished the first in this series Rome:Total War, and it's an excellent game an well worth buying. Unfortunately I purchased Alexander yesterday and after just a few hours of game play, the game constantly freezes with what looks like kernel panic. I'm only about 15 turns into the game but can no longer progress. Pretty disappointing but even more so considering the cost.
Initially wouldn't load but deleting and reinstalling worked.
Updated to reflect that the game now loads.
