Meh
Too obsessed with reporting and not basics
Used to be a useful tool but the developers are too obsessed with FSD and other reporting yet basics like home charging no longer works. The Add time of day charging has stopped functioning but nothing seems to be done about it. Very good on trip reporting but that’s about all value to me now.
Lacking
Considering what they say in the app description I find the actual app very lacking, purchased premium yet very limited controls compared to other apps, no where to create automations although they state that. It’s more expensive than another popular 3rd party Tesla app yet seems to have half the functionality! It’s a shame as some of the stuff in the app like range rings are excellent and helpful! Visuals for battery information is great! Really let down by lacking the stuff they claim to have but actually don’t.
Incredible data
I can make .csv files and use them in python to make fun graphs of my car usage. This app is amazing. So much more from driving maps to weekly reports. It’s superior to the Tesla main app and I worked at Tesla. Edit saved me 500$! Was connected to a neighbors plug in duplex and they claimed way more usage and TezLab won when my data was presented to the landlord ! And I have years of data I can toss into an LLM and visualize for great sentimental value datasets
Disappointed
I have waited over a week for this app to show me something other than what I already see with the Tesla app. The only consistent feature on this app is that it continues to disconnect from the car multiple times a day.
Good app but pricing is a bit off
I use the app to calculate my charges, and it works well, but what’s with the pricing of the app ?? $5.99 a month ($72 for 12 months) OR a yearly subscription for $99.00 ??
Bait and switch?
I am an early adopter of this app. Purchased a “founders” license that granted me premium features (for life) and has been working great. Until recently when they now want more money to support more than one vehicle. I get it that operating costs go up but don’t “founding” members should be grandfathered into no limits in terms of the amount of vehicle connections.

Great statistical analysis
I really enjoy going through the data. It is very useful. I also like seeing the trips and especially the Range map which is really useful. You can set it for real world or rated.
Phone Won’t Recognize Texan Pro
I installed TezLab and paid for 1 year subscription for TezLab Pro. Even though the purchase shows in my subscription list, the app does not recognize this purchase. Every time I click on an option in the app, it tells me I need to subscribe to Pro. I sent an email to support but have not received a response. Very disappointed. I’m hoping someone from TezLab reads this and contacts me.

Tezlab is loaded with great details and has a good ui.
App keeps car awake draining power
On several occasions, only when polling was enabled, did my car lose 3-4% in only a couple of hours due to the app gathering data and keeping the car from going to sleep. Standby power was so high (+5kW) for only a few hours when not plugged in. Not every time am I able to have my car plugged in, and I can’t afford to wast multiple kW on “data gathering”. When Tesla finds out that you’re using 3rd party apps they just tell you to shut them off to avoid excessive power drain when parked and unplugged. This app has to have better rules and programming to ensure that its data gathering doesn’t leave you stuck for power after a day unplugged at work!
What’s the point
Not sure what the point of this app is, works fine and gives you stats for ever, just not sure why I would spend £59 on it on reflection

Squeezed out
I have had this app since 2018 when I got my model three. It was fully functional when I first downloaded it and since I do not pay for any subscriptions, every single feature that is even mildly useful has been removed since then. There’s no reason to keep this app as an un paying subscriber.
Good Alternativre
This is a good alternative to the official Tesla app. It basically does everything that the Tesla app can do, but also adds some other information and statistics that you might be interested in. I just wish many of the features weren’t locked behind paywalls.
Pretty good
Pretty good up, but I deleted it because i get signed out so often making it a hassle to use. Will look for alternative apps now.
No support options
I’ve enjoyed many of the features of this app including road trips, but there’s some glitchy vehicle connection issue where I keep getting my account disconnected and in the most recent example it would have been nice to ask support why the app was doing this because I lost an entire roadtrips worth of data because the car wasn’t connecting to the app.

Too clunky. Charge cost are incorrect. I cannot find anything I’m looking for. You can’t differentiate off and on peak time charging costs. extremely difficult to navigate. Everything looks good, but I use Tessie instead.
Using TezLab for years
My original purpose for using this app was to export charging data and reimbursed for my electricity usage. Over time, I’ve seen it steadily improve with new features, and it remains my go-to app for tracking drive usage, battery life, charging data, and more. With the recent addition of FSD tracking, I’m excited monitoring my FSD drives. I also just began using the new FSD Leaderboard feature, live in the car which is a fantastic addition. This app keeps getting better, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants reliable insights into their Tesla!
Zero reason to use in 2025
The Tesla and Rivian apps are 10x better than the slop this company “engineers”.
Great companion app for Tesla
I mostly use this to collect driving and charge stats, but the plug-in reminders are useful as well
Trips Map
Trips map doesn’t show the route correctly. It just shows a rough path. Would really like this to be corrected to get a more accurate picture of the trips.

FSD tracker
An awesome new feature that Ben at Tezlab has accomplished. It keeps track of how much you are using FSD on your Tesla. Just had this feature added on my Cybertruck. Awesome app and utilize daily.
Holy lost features Batman!
I really enjoy having the data available for every trip in our EVs. A lot of the data was behind an initial paywall which I obliged. Given that we were able to see the data I wanted/needed it was worth it. There are a lot of data points I would like to see, but so far what I’m getting is worth it. But now, it isn’t. There has been an adjustment to the subscription model and the data I signed up to receive isn’t available for my vehicles. First the subscription cost got jacked up. Then they add an additional subscription per vehicle. My costs to support this app have increased more than 3x. So much for “cheaper than a couple cups of coffee a month.” Because of the truly exorbitant price increases, this app is no longer worth it. Not enough data, not enough usefulness to justify these costs.
Not staying logged in
TezLab has been great so far, but ever since the new update I’m constantly being logged out of the app - even if I don’t close it.

The knowledge about your EV
Initially I just wanted to track my charging metrics, but this app does so much more! I really like how it allows you to group trips together to form your overall trip view. My only complaint is on me for not starting to use this app from day one! Too bad there is no way to get historical data of some kind (pre app install), but having already spoken to the very responsive and knowledgeable developers, this just isn’t possible.
Price rise is a no go
I liked this app. Although it’s hardly vital to everyday EV use, the data is interesting. But now that they’ve almost doubled the monthly cost AND charge still more for two EVs (thus tripling the cost!), it’s just not worth it. So long, TezLab subscription!
Limited by premium functionality
The fact that I can’t get simple info like how much mileage I’ve driven and charged and the difference in fuel cost as a basic free app feature is quite greedy. I don’t need anything else but some energy tracking metrics, so why charge me to see how much I’ve saved in costs and only show me 7 days.. Edit: fair response, still not ideal. Other features could be innovated to make it worth more than what I’m asking.
Good app but keeps losing my logged-in state
Nicely designed app that provides some genuine value to Tesla drivers. However it does seem to lose my logged-in state quite often. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been asked to enter my username and password when launching the app. Frustrating.

Chinese Tesla account cannot login
Can fix this problem？when login the Tesla account the page show errors. we don't recognize this Client ID. Please use the Client ID found in your app details.
Lots of good information
Love the app. Lots of cool metrics to see how the charging and use of my model y. But find the monthly cost too high to sign up. If it was $20 a year would be worth it. Would love to see an iPad version.
App keeps crashing
After upgrading iOS to 14.4.2, the app now crash every time I tried to open it. Tried restarting the phone and the crash continues.
Add live activitiy with live drive data
The app is great. In my opinion, it would be a checkmate for every other similar app if live a live activity is added in iPhone Lock Screen to see while driving. Since the phone is placed on the charger just below the screen, it would act as a second screen with extra info (eg Drive efficiency) without having to unlock the phone and open the app.
Remote controls don’t work
Just paid the $40 and when I tap on my (new) Apple Watch app to start the A/C it just spins for a second and then still says “Turn on”. Repeated several times and same result. Once I got in the car and had the A/C running it then says “Climate On” so I know it’s connected. Tapping on “Turn off” does the same spin and do nothing action as Turn on. Just doesn’t work. Waste of money
