A nice surprise.
I went into playing this totally blind, and found myself engrossed in the story. The world is very imaginative, and although the subject matter isn’t necessarily the deepest or insanely profound, it’s very much worth thinking about sincerely and critically. I love the imagination put on display here. Everything in the world is interesting. I cannot praise the atmosphere enough. Glad I stumbled upon this game!
Get led by the nose
Open world it is not….follow the arrows, do as your told, go here go there….follow the arrows….end up in a pit you can’t get out of….should be a way to get a refund…..should not be allowed to be called an open world game…I want a refund

Nice looking game
Picked this up as I saw the sale. It seems quite nice so far but visually and controls the other game wilderness looks and controls much better. I presume wilderness is the newer game so I would recommend picking that up over this one.
Very Enjoyable
I just finished the game, and while I was unsure of it at the very beginning, i was soon enjoying it. Developer did a great job here, his world is well drawn, imaginative, and submersive as you continue following the story. So, this was imaginative and refreshing. The story is the centerpiece; game play is follow the story; any fighting along the way is in service to the story. I enjoyed, is a great counterpoint to the endless games of basically boring nothing fight & grind. No grind here. I think total game play is several hours or more, depending on the player. There is a beginning and end. Anyway, I give high marks for its artistry, being interesting, imaginative story, no grind, and no in game issues - I liked it a lot 👍👍👍
Constant crashing
Me Try to play game work for few seconds. Then game go boom boom. I am groot. (Transition: I will try to play the game and it seems fun but then after a few seconds it crashes and it prevents me from being able to do anything please fix this because I want to play this masterpiece)

Oh the horror
Great looking game, but horrible controls. I was turning around in circles for five minutes. I try to go straight and end up going backwards. Basically unplayable, delete.
Komm nicht weiter, passiert nix
Bin in aus dem Schiff getreten, hielt den Dialog über die Botschafter und lief dann zur "Burg" Das wars dann. Passiert nix. steh nur doof rum. Laut youtube sollte ein "Wesen" ne Rampe hochlaufen. bei mir nicht. Seh das Gelbe Karo mit dem Punkt drin, wo auf den Typ zeigt mit Bart, aber der steht nur rum. Was mach ich falsch ?
Indescribably amazing game ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This game is so amazing! I just downloaded and haven’t played much, but I couldn’t wait to rate it. The setting, landscape, music, and story are all amazing, though I haven’t finished yet. I love the option of dungeonette and explorateur mode, and the fact that you can customize every thing about the world. I especially love the filters! It was more expensive than most games I downloaded but it was worth every cent and more, I’m surprised it was only 4 dollars. This game deserves to win awards and it’s honestly unbelievable that a single person did this. It’s better than most of the games I’ve played, made by a whole big group of people. Keep up the good work! This game is amazing! P.S.: I had to come back because i didn’t realize the sheer depth of this world, the preview doesn’t do it justice. Did you know you can read the books in the library for information about the world?
No controller support
No controller support and without the controller the controls are really bad and too sensitive. It does look nice in the screenshots and videos but unfortunately I’m robbed from enjoying it.
Control issue but fantastic open world
IPad control is difficult; only issue. I love the free roam!!! Incredible views. Wonderful hidden caves and caverns. How did you create so much range/space with so much detail? Wow! I was able to solve all ten trials and can shift-change to the other creatures. Sure beats walking! Look forward to more. Thanks!

Love this game and all your work so far Robert. BrightRidge was my first game of yours I tried and loved it, but finished everything their was to do too quickly. Vandgels is even better with more space to explore, more shapes to shift into and just so much more of everything with the same beautiful design and great music tracks for different areas. I love all of your work so far and look forward to your next project. I will likely buy anything you release if you keep putting out games of this quality. Keep up the good work!
Horrible controls
I am at a loss on the great reviews for this game. Perhaps it does not work correctly with the newest ipads? I am using an ipad pro with 256gb of storage, over half of which is free and I had no other programs open. My experience with this and the prior Nimean game is that the controls are utterly horrible. Camera swings about wildly when you try and move your character and constantly works in too close. Changing control and view settings did not help. Game does not seem to be designed for a touch screen and there is no onscreen joypad appearing even when I select that option. Simply agonizing to try and make the character do anything. Also, no audio speech, just a compressed squealy babble when characters talk - text does appear at the bottom of the screen but I tend to miss it - just weird as speech bubbles do appear most of the time when characters talk - however there are no words in the bubbles. Also difficult to tell who is speaking and who they are speaking to due to camera jumping around and getting too close in. There may be a great experience here, but I’ll never know it. Life is too short. There are lots of great games out there that work properly - better to play one of those than struggle with this. Oh well.
Ik was a beautiful experience
It was a really good game There where many creatures, the story was very nice and there are 3 different modes wich are great! I really hope you can make more chapters and improve the characters by making them a little more detailed and with more positions. I know i might ask too much but id it if they where even more creatures. Im sure this game is a very good purchase and i hope other people feel the same way.

I loved playing the other game released by this same company but all you do in this is run around. If there is any sort of Interaction with the character to solve a puzzle, like find a dragons there is no assistance ,your just left running around. I deleted it ..

Robert you have made a piece of art. I have all of your stuff. I’m a 51 year old kid and love Vandgels and BrightRidge. Please keep making games like these they are priceless. Games with substance and life lessons are few and far between. Godspeed!!!!

It won’t even open. I’ve deleted and reinstalled a few times now. Disappointed.
Not what you think
If you like in depth storytelling on fictional concepts of otherworldly culture, then this might appeal to you as a story unfolds while running around a gorgeously designed landscape. The scenery is really beautiful and kudos to the developer for such a detailed and gorgeous landscape. For myself, after two hours it got tedious as it just seemed I was constantly running to wherever the yellow diamond marker appeared on the map, where all that happened when I got to it is i’d receive a small snippet of dialogue. Then the yellow marker appears somewhere else to repeat the process. Im more of an action player so the indepth dialogue was a bit too much for me.
SO worth it
This should be on the switch for at least 30 or more bucks. That’s the type of game this is. I’m on the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I can almost max all the settings but not quite. A 12 or 13 should be able to crank every setting. It kinda feels a lot like a ps3 final fantasy, with the same type of love for the environments and music shown
I wish I knew how to get my money back.
Controls are way out there un-intuitive. Help on controls is nowhere to be easily found. The dev website is not under ssl, and borks with Apache errors, often. The landscape is, at least as far as I got, too dark. Most of the time you are wandering around, clueless like headless chicken.
Spannende Story und schöne Grafik
Man merkt, dass dieses Spiel mit Liebe gemacht wurde. Diese Fantasywelt lädt zum Träumen ein. :) Mir hat die Geschichte sehr gut gefallen und ich hätte eigentlich noch gerne mehr erfahren, wie es weitergeht. Das ist auch mein Kritikpunkt, das Ende der Geschichte fühlt sich gerade wie ein Anfang an. ;-)
Wow
Robert my man, you sir, are an amazing developer... this game is a rare gem that I have been looking for in the App Store for quite some time. I have searched and searched hard to find a game I can put money into and not regret it after and I was about ready to give up, but then I searched open world games and found your series of games and I absolutely love them! Beautiful, polished, able to change graphical settings, doesn’t heat up my phone, never had a crashing problem, fun, and most of all very imaginative and creative. It is hard to find a game with all of that but you hit all the marks. I can’t say this enough but fantastic job... I can tell the love of what you do behind the game when I play it.

Worth every cent and more!
This is the first time I’ve written a review for a game in a few years. I’ve really grown to love exploration games, and Robert has created something really special with this one. Like so many of the other reviews say, it is an absolutely beautiful game. The graphics and music complement each other so well. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends. I found the controls suited me pretty well. And I was able to tweak them to my liking with all the options for customization given in the game settings. I also really appreciate the freedom to experience the game in whatever way suits my mood at the time. Having the option to play through a story mode, the dungeon mode, or simply relaxing and looking at all the amazing things to discover is a great feature for this genre. It’s not just a fun game to play, it’s a rewarding experience. My thanks to the designer for putting real heart into a game. Keep it up! You definitely made a fan out of me!
Freezes and crashes
I enjoyed the previous game, but this permanently freezes every 10-20 seconds, requiring a restart, and so making it unplayable. Please fix.
Second installment is good.
As with my review of Namian Legends: Bright-ridge and how I praised that one for its magnificent prowess in demonstrating 2014 IOS hardware graphically, so to shall I do the same with this spin off sequel for 2018 hardware. First off, everybody knows the first had several actual graphical settings for customization of its beautifully vast environment- and this one has the same ones as well with a surprising addition of a “Show FPS” monitor under Effects to show you the iOS game frame rate as you play the game. Second, the environment is a lot more vast than the first with a total of 67 chapters And Finally, we have the addition of light combat with actual weapons. Conclusion: While I have not finished the game(Currently on Chapter 19 since I bought it December 25 on Christmas) I must say the developer, Robert Kabwe, has to be on some type of drug in order to produce something as magnificent as this Namian installments with all these customizable graphic options while only being one man! My only question is: How does he do it?
