Favorite solitaire game
After years of enjoying the battleship games in a magazine, I was happy to find this wonderful app! The app is great in its simplicity and love playing it. Once I reached the “Medium” difficulty level, the games became really challenging for me, so much that I thought I needed to make guesses to solve the puzzles. BUT if I really study the layout and keep going over the grid I eventually work out the logic. I just LOVE this game.
Pointless App
The instructions are extensive but don’t explain how to use the game. Waste of time.
App is close, but not perfect
I love this game. Played in Games magazine for decades. Played online for years. Loved it in those formats. The app is good except there are some issues that have never been fixed, most notably, the check answer function often gives wrong answers. On a three or four spot answer, if the end is wrong, it will tell you two spots are wrong. Also, my middle aged eyes find the larger puzzles tiny.

I’m not paying for more packs so I wish there were more free ones but otherwise gameplay is ok and everything but pls add more packs.

An enjoyable challenge
Yet not frustrating
Good game but not compatible with iPhone version
The same game is on iPhone but purchases on the iPad are not honoured through the iPhone version. I didn’t find out until I’d bought a dozen extra packs expecting to be able to play them on the road as well. Not happy.
Nice but extra levels too expensive
Fun game but once you have completed the provided levels, buying extra ones are not that good value. Would like to see better value level packs to keep me playing.

Solutions not unique
It was ok to play, until I discovered that not all puzzles have a unique solution. That takes the fun out of it for me. Not as good as Conceptis’ other puzzles.

I can’t make the correct segments
When I try to make the end segment, only water or a square will show up. It’s really annoying because it’s missing the round end and a singular “submarine”. I read all the rules and help tips, and I still can’t figure out how I can do those segments. I’m even asking myself if these creators even knew there were two other existing segments, ‘cause this I’m really annoying. I only managed making one round end, but only by spamming the place almost a hundred times. To creators: Please fix this, or give the players a heads-up on how to do it, otherwise I guess it’s alright, but those missing segments really ruin the game. - Thank You.
Not sure if pure logic applies here
I play several other Conceptis games - Nurikabe, Hashi, Tic-Tac-Logic - and I believe they can all be solved by logic alone, as claimed. But with Sea Battle I am not so sure. At any level above easy, a brute-force guessing strategy must be employed as far as I can tell. So, while the interface here is flawless as usual, this is my least favorite Conceptis game so far.

This game is a great way to relax. It involves problem solving skills and requires you to focus just enough to take your mind off of everything else. It isn’t so hard that your head aches though. It’s pretty fun.

OK, but not overly challenging
Passes a bit of time, but have to say even the supposedly "very hard" puzzles aren't particularly difficult ... solved in less than 3 minutes in most cases. Maybe a grid larger than 10x10 would help. Might help if there was more of an incentive to not use the reveal mistakes feature ... perhaps three lives and then you have to start again.
A nice logic workout
I always enjoy working on this puzzle. I can check my progress throughout.

If you like logic puzzles this is fun and quite challenging at times. I enjoy the newspaper versions and had been looking for an electronic alternative. Cannot really fault it. Elsie

以前のまるばつもそうだったが、複数の解が存在することがあり、設定と違う方にすると正解にならない。 でもいずれ修正されるだろうから問題ではない。 とにかく、時間つぶしにはもってこいの面白いパズルです。
Fun and engaging!!
It’s a fun and engaging puzzle game that uses logic to solve. These puzzles are easy enough to solve while shutting off my brain after a busy hectic day but not so easy that it’s boring.

Update of previous review
The developer told me all puzzles can be solved logically, so I decided to try again. It took a few tries to figure the logic out, but I did. Fun game, easy to understand how to fill in the grid with the correct symbols. Moving on to the medium puzzles!
