Thanks for update
Thank you devs for keeping this game alive and updating the graphics! Looks much crisper now.
game sucks now
you win about 1 out of every 5 hands. used to be a good game until an update. can’t win now
Problematic
The game doesn’t seem to reflect actual real life chances, specifically the cards. I downloaded it and played <30min realizing that the dealer won on flushes even a royal flush once, 6 times! To add to the questionably odds, I also noticed that my hand including the first three cards, seemed to always have three consecutive cards, every time as one would then start chasing the straight. Nope. Even when handed the statistically best poker hands, you will lose to a flush.
Hands seem to favor dealer
It just seems to favor the dealer Examples Me - 10 10 10 A Q D 10 10 10 A K Me- straight to 8. D straight to 9 I’m sure there are games more “fair?”
Not better since the break
Not sure what happened, but was unable to buy chips for about 2 months. Now that I can buy chips again, seems there were some dubious changes to the algorithms. Far fewer bonus payouts than before, amazing odds for the dealer, and it seems that when I do get a great hand, the dealer doesn’t qualify. I understand it’s a game of wins and losses, but since your return, I only win about 25% of the time. That far worse odds than I’ve ever experienced in a casino. It’s too bad - I just won’t play this game as often. Update: Tried to give it another shot, but the payout frequency is not even close to payouts in actual casinos. The number of times the dealer ties my hands, or doesn’t qualify when I have a good hand, are ridiculously high. I’ve played this game for years in actual casinos, and this app has horrible payout frequency. Also, they need to change it so that we can fold the hand, but still get paid for any bonus we have in the hand we wish to fold. That’s how it’s done in actual casinos. If there’s a future update, it would be nice to see pairs bonus bet option - some versions in casinos have it and some don’t. This is a bet on a player’s two cards only: - pair of aces: 30-1 - ace/face suited: 20-1 - ace/face not suited: 10-1 - any pair besides aces: 5-1 Looking forward hopefully to improvements!
Poker
Fun
RNG not so random
This game does not simulate real world play. The random number generator is not random. After playing about 100 hands, you will see patterns emerge. Like pocket aces will lose to a dealer’s dirty diaper 90% of the time. QJ will always lose if you 4 bet. Etc. etc. the game knows what you have and will drop a dealer match card on the river almost always. Don’t call at the end unless you have the nuts. The game makes you watch ads to get chips and its goal is to take your chips so you watch more ads. Even the ads are infuriating, pregnant housewives making thousands of dollars a week playing online slots for real money. The LAST thing a pregnant housewife needs is to gamble her unborn baby’s future away before she even delivers it. Shameful. The interface is good but more side bets could be added. A Bad Beat bonus should be there, but if it was, you would always win because almost every hand is a bad beat.
Great but could be better
I love ultimate hold em, and I typically don’t write reviews but this game has frustrated me very much. I love the portrait style and quick game play ability. But I hate the ads that pop up and the inability to close them out even when given the option. I would happily pay to get rid of ads but unfortunately that isn’t an option. I wish there was TRIPS bet but I can understand that the bet changes from place to place. Another thing is the push feature. If I Get a pair but have the high care we push. But if I get a pair and the dealer has high card, I lose. The game is great, but I feel like it misses those few things that could make it better.
Dealer hold cards are stacked
I love playing this game live and not that this game is awful, it is not, but the hold cards for the house/dealer are ridiculous! Certainly not using any kind of real formula/algorithm to calculate what the dealer should really get. The deck is definitely stacked. It’s almost as if the holo cards change to win nearly every time! That doesn’t happen in a live game.
Great game just uh
The game is great. This is the only game I play when I go to the casino. The win ratio is worse than Vegas. I can tell it’s a ploy to make you want to spend money on it. I went a total of 22 turns with out winning, won one, than went imma entire 15 games with out winning and on this , for 7 straight turns went as follows for the cpu, full house, full house, flush, quads, trips, straight, straight flush. Mean while I get a pair of 2s or 9a.
No bothersome ads, but not as fun as multiplayer table
Simple Hold’em. Easiest free chips
Rigged to make you watch ads for chips.
Dealer wins most hands. Odds are terrible and it’s more than obviously rigged. Do not bother
Good app, needs landscape mode
This is a very well-made app and the game is fun. I just wish that I could play it on landscape mode on my iPad so I don't have to be holding it up.
Dealer wins 90% of hands
Not fun losing all the time
4 straights and a full house
Dealer gets amazing hands left and right. Love this game but after playing it a few days and the same thing over and over. I played this in multiple casinos and it doesn’t happen like this, and to have it like every hand is crazy.
Good time killer
The more $$ you bet , the less you win. $5 is pretty even win / lose. Anything higher, and its pretty much zero win. Ex. got a pair, deal has 3 of a kind, got 3 of a kind, dealer has a straight … EVERY TIME !!
Great for beginners
I saw this being played at harrahs in Las Vegas and I watched the table for about 45 minutes. This game is great for me to practice so that I can feel confident about sitting down to play in person. I want to see some type of educational piece that’s more than the question mark in the top right corner. That would make it the best game for beginners AND a great refresher for seasoned vets. Thanks for creating!
Cheating game
The app flat out cheats. You win off cheap hands. It beats or matches your big wins. Watch the two pair. Always matches. Coincidentally has nothing when you do. At least don’t make it obvious. Big flunk
Real thing
Like playing at the casinos.
Rigged
Dealer always gets a straight
Too many pocket pairs
The dealer gets way too many pocket pairs.
Rigged
As others have noted, they have an incentive for you to buy more chips. After getting you hooked, they clearly rig the game. In ultimate Texas hold em, the dealer has a slight advantage (52% or so) if you play right. At first I thought I was imagining things but I kept track and it became mathematically impossible. In fact, they seemed to make the math work against you. If you start playing it right— I.e. going 4X when you have a king and an ace or pocket kings— it works against you. When there’s nothing on the table, and you have a high card (say ace) they always have a pair. If you get a straight, they have a higher straight or a flush. If you do win, dealer doesn’t have a pair so you don’t get your bet back. Just too many coincidences.
Shady.
Fun game until you decide to purchase coins. I purchased coins multiple times and every time I go on losing streaks that are not believable. I do not have a accurate count, however, I will lose 50 out of 55 hands. I honestly do not mind purchasing from apps I like but I do mind when I am being cheated. The weird thing is the cheating is so blatant they do not hide it. Bye!
Dealer wins
Dealer wins most of the time. I always lose when max betting fix your greedy algorithm. Over all annoying especially with all the ads.
Used to be fun
Used to be able to get 500 free chips every 2 hours. Then the update added watching ads to get it. Bought the ad free option and they still make you watch videos to get chips. Wish I could roll back to the old version.
Cheaters
It’s unbelievable, you can’t win even with Quads , dealers wins with higher hand . Don’t spend your money. It’s 100% cheating
Bring back old version
New version is bad bad BAD
