Content is great but paying for subscription is a nightmare!
Update: Updating my review to share that the developers may have heard our cries! Today after using an email link to purchase a discounted annual subscription, I received a follow-up email a few hours later with instructions on activating the subscription. I hope this is a sign that they’ve figured out how to make this process less stressful for subscribers. I LOVE the content in the app. I believe it has helped my partner and I learn how to communicate more effectively. I also think the webinar topics are interesting. That aside, it has been an absolute NIGHTMARE with getting my app to show the subscription upgrade after we took a short break from the paid version. I’ve reached out to support multiple times and gotten a “Sorry I can’t help you with the app, but here’s a link to pay the subscription online,” only for the premium app features to be unavailable because the upgrade doesn’t show 🙄 I even tried accessing the content through the website and my account still shows the free version. I’ve reached the point where I’m tired of wasted time and money, and want to switch to a similar app that doesn’t give me all of these issues.
Buggy, outdated
This app is buggy and outdated. Many times it wouldn’t record my responses and when me and my partner compared answers it said I hadn’t responded to the question. Also, there was a question about dating during the pandemic - uh, it’s 2025. Also there were a bunch of irrelevant questions about e.g. rekindling romance. We’re a new couple. We’re using Paired now and so far it’s much better.
It’s okay. Please add more
The app is OK. It really needs more. Everything that’s on there is pretty good in Content and interaction, but there’s really nothing there. What’s the point of a subscription if there is not much to teach.

We love the daily question!-- we do it almost daily. I've looked for other relationship-building questions, and I haven't found any as insightful as these. The workshops are fun, especially the date night ones! I've had tech trouble with opening the app right after renewing my subscription (2 years in a row), but this has always been solved very promptly by the support staff. I recommend this app!
Date and Time Stamp Errors Could Be Catastrophic
The exercises in this app look amazing, but the date and time stamps are very off. An entry I posted on 9/1 was dated 8/1, and a reply from my partner for today 9/11 was dated 8/24. This is a disaster as it lends the appearance of neglect. I’m very angry over this, because it has the protential to ruin a relationship at the same time that it intends to repair one. Understanding the timing of interaction is mission critical, and the app makers should obviously know this. The app makers are taking on a very serious role here that demands responsibility. They could ruin marriages through carelessness. Use with caution. Added 9/30/2025 - Each time I open the app I get an indicator of unread messages. I open them anticipating a response from my partner and instead find that they’re my own messages, which I’ve obviously already read. We’re working through the communications module. The app reports that my partner has done exercises in a later release of the module . 1) If the app were well designed, this would not be possible, but 2) when I do go to the updated module, I learn that my partner has NOT done exercises in the later release. Again, this app is very buggy in mission critical places. Use with caution. This is a good idea for an app, and we will continue to use it for now, but the bugs are toying with our emotions as we try to fix our relationship. The app is suboptimal. We’ll see if it does more harm than good.
Upgrade?
I love this app, but it keeps putting up a pop-up to tell me that an upgrade is available. When I click the link, it takes me back to the app store which just says “open”. I don’t want to remove it from my phone and reinstall it because I don’t want to lose the data my partner and I have created.
Great app but…
My spouse and I previously used this app a long time ago but didn’t follow through. We wanted to try again but all of our old progress was saved and we are getting very frustrated trying to figure out how to restart old sessions instead of picking up where we left off, because, of course, we don’t remember a bit of what we learned before and our old answer just hardly even apply anymore. There should be an easy way to restart sessions if you want to. Other wise, I think the app is great, but this part is very frustrating.
Great content, no landscape mode for iPad!
The app is amazing and my wife and love it as a way to improve our relationship through continuous work. However, they don’t support landscape mode on iPad! I love to sit at the keyboard and type out my answers and thoughts and can’t do so!!!

Couldn’t even get started
I was interested in using Lasting to work on my relationship, but I couldn’t even make it past the sign-up process. Every password I created was labeled “weak,” even when I used long, complex combinations with numbers, symbols, and uppercase letters. After multiple attempts, I gave up. It’s frustrating to have an app meant to improve communication and connection become a source of stress before I can even see what it offers. I hope they update their password requirements and sign-up process so people can focus on the actual relationship work instead of wrestling with account creation.
If you’re limited in time to connect, this may not be the app for you
The billing portion is causing so much stress it’s nearly not worth it. I’ve spent more time trying to figure out why they are charging a certain card, where to go to change it, and what “stripe” means that I haven’t had any time to use the resources. There is NO WHERE to view the card or account my payment is coming from and make changes. There is no customer service chat or phone number. The concept is wonderful but you have to have the business part down as well. Right now unless you get everything perfect as you’re signing up (which I don’t even know how they got the card they’re charging) it seems either shady or unreliable at best. And yes, I checked every phone‘s subscriptions. I’ve checked PayPal. I’ve checked everywhere that I have third-party payments. It is nowhere. I’ve worked in tech-support. Good but not amazing
My partner and I have been doing this for about a month now. We have completed numerous sessions and had some good conversations come from them. However, it feels like it just ends there. Would be nice to at least get some feedback on our responses or some best practices to be able to further apply them to our growth. Having a professional read and dissect our responses and reply with some quick feedback/ constructive suggestions would be a real game changer.

Unable to cancel subscription
Buyer beware. It is near impossible to cancel the subscription once you purchase. The app sends you to the website. The website sends you to the app.
Not worth it for the price
I liked the app when I tried it with my partner, but I can’t justify spending $30 for a month. That’s how much therapy is where we’re getting one-on-one help from a counselor. That is a way different thing than an app.
They lie
It says everything is free for 7 days but you can’t access anything but the foundations section once you finish that you can’t do anything else on the app. The foundations section is good but not $89/6 months good. Def need a better trial if you’re gonna charge up to $30/month
Helpful, but not in the way I expected
I downloaded this app because my boyfriend at the time kept claiming every couples therapist he could find in our area had no availability. So I searched for other options and found this app. I’m not saying it’s a good replacement for couples counseling, but it was great for our unstable relationship. Every time I brought up problems before the app he would find a way to turn it into me “fighting” even if I was just trying to ask basic questions. So having the app ask them was better for me. He still blew up when I brought up a girl he likely cheated on me with and an ex he kept talking to despite knowing it weirded me out since he was living with her when we met. When I saw that even when we were in a controlled environment where we were both supposed to bring up our concerns it made his emotional abuse so loud and clear. So it didn’t keep us together lol, but it helped me realize his actions had nothing to do with me and he simply wanted to avoid the big red flags in our 3 year relationship to continue doing whatever he was doing without any accountability. I also want to point out that the app is great at helping you understand each other’s perspectives etc. It encourages you to learn more about them in ways you don’t think to once you’re in a committed relationship. Had we not had so many problems I think this would have been really great at strengthening a relationship. Definitely gave me some good ideas on what to ask early on with a new partner.
Terrible technical support plus high price
The app is terrible. It crashes when launching a link from the emails which indicate a new session of therapy is available to sign up for attending. When I contacted technical support, Taylor was singularly unhelpful, and the app issue is still unresolved. I even took and sent in a screen recording of the app when I click on the link in email, but to no avail, the issue is still unresolved. Many of the therapists seem competent, and a few had EXCELLENT and well presented sessions… I stuck with Lasting because of that but I am canceling because I cannot access content for which I paid. 0/10 for the app, and it’s even more annoying that there is no website in which to access content. 7.5/10 for the therapist sessions—when accessible.
Good individual experience, needs work
Love the lessons and prompts for the individual experience but it leaves it up to the couple to discuss questions/answers together without a mediator and I feel like that’s where a lot of couples (mine included) need help.
Customer service is poor
Great app, however customer service is so poor. We had heaps of issues after our free trial, couldn’t sign up. Every page you go to has a different price on it, they advertise 80% off but the price is more expensive than the normal advertised price. Tried to contact them and was provided a link which doesn’t work and only allows new accounts but I already have an account. Then further emails for support were ignored. Wasn’t ever able to get a hold of them for actual help to sign up. Full price subscription on the app to pay is $60 USD a month but they offered us $60 for 3 months which we were never able to redeem. Just too many mismatching prices and no customer service, makes it very difficult and not what you need when you’re using the app due to hard times. Needs work.
Lasting is AMAZING
Lasting is a phenomenal tool for couples to use to help understand each other better! There are so many resources and even live group therapy! It is amazing
Giant FAIL if you aren't an East Coast subscriber
Unless you are unemployed, the live events aren't timed for viewing in time zones MST or PST. The first lesson exercises are ok. After that, they ho off course. Plus NOT ALL LIVE EVENTS are made available after the live event. Unacceptable!!!! Plus emails to their "Customer Service" go unanswered. They don't cover so many other relationship real issues. Canceled after 6 pathetic months.
LOVE the idea ; REALLY don’t appreciate the price
LOVE and appreciate the idea and work put in. However , REALLY believe that the cost is too high and that price of monthly subscription could be WAY less for what’s offered.
Amazing app! Cheaper then seeing a couples couple therapist
OMG! Amazing App! It only had been a couple of days. My marriage had improved enormously. This app has fantastic workshops, questions, and sessions that have helped strengthen my relationship with my wife. The unique part, in my opinion, is that every day they ask us to talk about something important. They also have reminders such as saying to your wife you love her. Or something that makes her smile. Those reminders helped me a lot to make sure my wife know I appreciated her. My wife and I see a couple therapist, and the app has helped us more in a couple of days than the real-life therapist. I recommend this app to any couple who really wants to build a stronger relationship.
Unable to begin
Couldn’t even create an account. Would create a password that was “very strong” according to the password strength meter, but as soon as I’d click “sign up with email” I’d be prompted with a “Please select a stronger password” error box. Tried a few times and went into reviews and I’m not the only one who had this problem. Also, subscription cancelling issues and a whole hose of other issues. Sounds like the app used to be good though…too bad I’ll never know.
Put this in the paid app category
If basically no sessions are gonna be, then this should be listed as a paid app and mentioned that you would let us try the app for 7 days after getting all the payment detail. Waste of our time for people trying to use this app thinking its free. It’s NOT A FREE app.
Why didn't I find this sooner???
I love so many things about this app, so it's a much shorter list to say what I don't like... users should be able to pull up past workshops through the app. It was a very short list :) Every bit worth the money spent to learn about yourself and improve in your relationships (partner, kids, coworkers, etc.)... Great app!!!
Worst app ever
Cant even contact through email, keeps saying to flag the app.. and apple doesnt even provide a refund
Truly helpful.
This is a great app. It helps more than I expected and I like that it’s user friendly and you can customize the reminders/ notifications. It’s a really great communication tool to help couples stay connected and very helpful to reconnect with each other
Can’t get past the password page
Would love to give the actual app a review but I’ve tried 20 different passwords and it keeps deleting them and saying try a stronger password and won’t let me create an account. I’ve tried lowercase, uppercase, numbers, symbols and no matter what I try it says it’s not strong enough even though it says it is very strong when I type it in under the password box. Hopefully this will get fixed so I can login and give the app a try!

The main advantage to this style of counselling is the ability to see your partners response to deeply emotional questions. Having your thoughts and feelings out in the open can be very helpful when discussing relationship issues. This app provides a great way to express yourself plus providing great insight for later reflection.
