What people like
- Clear, concise grammar explanations fill gaps.
- Lessons are well organized and simple.
- Great for beginners and brushing up skills.
What they complain about
- App crashes constantly during exercises.
- Developers seem to have abandoned it.
- Hard to read orange text on orange background.
An incredible free option
Wow! The interface is simple, but i must say the lessons are extremely well organized and the exercises informative. Be prepared to build you own vocabulary list in parallel (the lessons will expect you to know some words you may not know the definition of, or how to conjugate properly), but my understanding really took off quickly when used in conjunction with other apps, such as Memrise, Drops, and Duolingo. And it was so nice to have a proper lesson to reference as a refresher instead of doing a bunch of Duolingo exercises until the concept “clicks”. 10/10 Highly recommend. Kudos to whoever built this for free.
Not working
This app is great, but it seems like the developers completely abandoned it. App always crashes and I’m sure if they just made some bug fixes it would work again.
Exactly what I was looking for
No nonsense, laconic explanation of grammar with practice tests. Just what I wanted and nothing more! Request to dev: Please enable swipe to go back a page so I don’t have to tap back button at the top

Great addition to other learning apps
I have been using Duolingo for several years and never liked that they don’t explain grammar very well. I feel like they expect you to just pick it up along the way through multiple examples. Dr. French fills in the gaps wonderfully. It’s a must have.
App wouldn’t open
The app wouldn’t open when clicked on. The one time it did open it did not let me write anything.
If you have an iPad . It will no sync your progress
My only disgust with this app is that it will not sync my progress across devices. I use the app in my phone and iPad but keeps different progress records for each. Frustrating! I tried contacting the developers about it, but never got a response.
No landscape mode
You would think that a $6.99 app could be used in landscape mode. Only in landscape mode can you successfully position your iPad on a cushion stand while you study with a charger attached. Otherwise, this app has excellent material for the students of the French language.

What happened??
This is my fav app and it hasn’t worked for months now, please fix!!
Difficulties
Bonjour, I was wondering if there is a way to show the English translation of sentence on lessons? I am trying to use this app to get a better understand of the language but I am not fluent and I don’t know a lot of words quite yet. When it has example sentences can you also provide the English translation? Merci!
Too short and expensive
Good start to a potentially great learning app. Currently there isn’t enough content to justify the $10 price tag.
Crash issues with puzzles+quizzes
Id rate this 5 stars if it didn’t crash everytime I do a puzzle, quiz, fill in blank to practice. The lessons themselves/content are great.
Good! I have a question
Does this app really include all grammar topics of French?
Novice User
I just started using this tool to refresh my French grammar. I find it easy to use and very useful. Information is presented in a very well organized way. However, I find the orange font with orange background VERY difficult to read. Please change the font color to black so it is more readable. Thank you!
Hard to use
Low contrast between characters and backgrounds make this a difficult to use app even after adjusting the settings.
Amazing! Well organized. Interactive
So happy with this app. It’s easy to use and so well organized. You can search, review by topic, and sort by level A1-C2. Thank you !!
