Great Humorous Detective Game
Had fun playing this game, had the right amount of puzzle, storyline and humor to keep me interested. Can’t wait for more games of this ilk. 👍
Katastrophale ux auf dem iPad
Macht auf dem ersten Blick einen sehr guten Eindruck. Aber bereits bei der ersten Aufgabe ging es auf dem iPad einfach nicht weiter. Das Kabel vom Professoren ließ sich nicht reparieren, weil man einfach weder reinzoomen, noch irgendwie exakt das Kabel anklicken konnte. Ich habe das Spiel nach 5 Minuten wieder gelöscht.
Traditional point and click adventure
I love point and click adventure games, I have since I was a kid playing the old Lucas arts games in early 90s. This game is true to the genre, but a few things, 1. The story arc didn’t feel quite right, it was supposed to be a mystery box kinda thing, but it was never really that compelling or intriguing 2. Why couldn’t he kiss Helliwell at the end? Missed opportunity there.
Menu zwei Sterne
Die Steuerung ist eine Katastrophe, warum? Es gibt 1000 gute Beispiele, es musste doch nichts Neues erfunden werden. Und dann sowas. Das Spiel an sich ist ok, aber mit der Steuerung macht es keinen Spaß und in Situationen wo es schnell gehen muss völlig unbrauchbar. Wirklich schade
Aquila puzzle, stone disappeared
Was very much enjoying the graphics and game play but on the Aquila Sanctuary puzzle, when laying down heavy objects and while overlapping the fire hydrant on the stone, the stone disappeared and hasn’t reappeared. I’ve tried leaving the room and quitting to main menu but the puzzle doesn’t reset. Can you help?
Harpers ancestor is Guybrush
I am living for the Curse of Monkey Island inspiration, I’ve been searching YEARS for a game with the same charm, humour, art and intelligence! I’m on chapter 3 and enjoying it so immensely. I am on my knees begging for more games like this!
Can’t Click Locations on Ch.3
Stuck! I’m in the part where I need to get to the Marina. The location is so close to the corner, so every time I click it exits the map!
Needs better controls
The first thing this game needs is a button that will highlight the items on the screen that can be interacted with. As it is now, it’s too easy to miss items because you didn’t quite hover over them perfectly. Another issue is the inventory. There is no button to open your inventory; instead you tap the top of the screen. This causes problems when you’re trying to interact with an object at the top of the screen and the inventory keeps popping up. Also there are some bugs. At one point my character read a newspaper, but then I couldn’t get the newspaper off of the screen, even when I clicked on options. Currently I’m stuck at the scene where the hazmat goons are spraying the town because I can’t click on the paint atomizer. All that said, it’s a fun game with some good puzzles and solid graphics.
Slow
Please fix how long It takes to get to another location. The loading screen is uncalled for with how long it takes.
Fun, but buggy
I’m enjoying the game - great graphics, voice acting, and story. Interacting with inventory items is simple, but sometimes glitchy. The big issue is that an important map location can be unlocked in chapter 3, but a bug prevents you from getting to the location. There’s no way forward in the game.
Amazing Game!
This is a great game! I love the way it feels like you’re playing inside of a comic book. The humor and jokes were brilliant! If you pay attention to the dialog, you’ll catch funny Easter eggs. This game also has an amazing storyline. In terms of length, I would say it wasn’t a short game but it’s also not a super long game. It’s right in the middle. I wish it was longer!! I like and appreciate that the characters actually speak with audio (some point and click games only have subtitles for character dialog) and the characters move when they talk (some games, the characters don’t do that). I also like the third person view point. This game is def worth the price and download. Highly recommend!
Bugs make game unplayable on iPhone
On Chapter 3 the map (only way to navigate) becomes unusable on a touch screen, completely stranding the player. This is after loading previous saves / all the usual fixes. I tried, I really did, but can’t complete it. Shame as I was quite enjoying the game but in the end was a waste of money and time. Do not buy for iPhone.

Die Spielzüge sind nicht logisch. Ständig werde Dialoge/Hinweise wiederholt eingeblendet, die nicht zielführend sind. ICH persönlich bin enttäuscht und nur noch genervt.
Lightbulb not working
I can’t finish the game as in can’t place the lightbulb on the broken lamp in chapter 4. Very annoying, please fix!
AMAZING
I have never played a game so immersive. It is a little difficult to play some of the puzzles due to not being able to see the full screen of everything on the iPhone 16 pro, but other than that it was great. It does lag a little sometimes in certain areas of the game, but is quickly fixed.

Ziemlich unlogisch und kein roter Faden
Schade schade schade, ich hatte mich gefreut auf ein Detektiv Game in meiner Sprache, aber es hat sich letztendlich als ein Wirrwarr von Aufgaben ergeben,die nichts miteinander zu tun haben und auch ziemlich unlogisch sind. Ich bin Mechanikerin und weiß was logisch ist. Tja bis zum Hafen habe ich gezockt danach wurde es mir wirklich zu bunt. Tja einmal Geld in den gulli gekickt. Hätte man sooo eine tolle Story draus machen können, zumal Corona vom Konzept genau so abegelaufen ist!
Good…but.
I am stuck in a glitch that won’t let me continue with my save data. I have been playing for more than three months, it´s a shame that this game is not properly polished and I’m not ready to continue until the developers finally fix their nearly perfect game.
Great game
In-depth storyline, fun dialog, challenging, mini puzzles in between chapters. Fun game, love the cartooning style and characters. Played perfectly on my iPhone 12. Saves game for you as you progress but you can also do your own saving as a backup, as I did but never needed it. Loved the voiceovers, humor and background music.
Ch 3 bug?!
Ben op het eiland in ch 3 maar brandblusser is plots verdwenen en kan niet verder spelen. :( ( speel op iphone 13 )
shame
artwork and story is great, with good and often amusing dialogue.. just one snag, i found it almost unplayable on small iphone screen… selecting things from the drop down menu was problematic and often just impossible.. regrettably deleted game after countless attempts to get two items to interact .. a shame
Great game but I am stuck!
I love the humor and the graphics. Just wish I could get Ronda’s keys off the wall, as I have tried over 50X and ordered that many BLTs from her to grab the keys in an effort to unlock her car!!!!
Loved this!
This is a wonderful game! The puzzles can be quite confusing at times and some a little glitchy but the storyline makes up for everything. Superb voice acting makes the story line even more enthralling. Like I said some of the puzzles make no sense but some after figuring them out you're left with the "duh" moment. Really enjoyed playing this. Now off to download another Backwoods game.
Awful
I played this game for hours, accidentally hit “new game” and lost everything. The characters and writing is so bad. Controls are terrible. The game looks cool but that’s about it.
Frustrating controls
Great storyline, but trying to tap on something is an exercise in listening to Harper say the same things over and over again, and watching him take a looong time walking around things. The interface here is not awesome. I got to the junkyard, where it says there might be car parts in the old car, and 10 minutes of tapping on everything that looked like a car drove me nuts with listening to Harper say the same things again and again and again and again and again. And again. Also encountered some weird buggy stuff, like Harper walking up stairs that aren’t there into the wall of the storage closet in the hotel. So yeah, no. I’m leaving it there. This game really isn’t ready for a $5 price tag.

Not perfect but great
We need more games like this. Great story, great puzzles, makes you think, art style was really cool, voice acting was great. Only complaint I have is the controls were a little janky at times. But I’m not a developer, and I don’t know the time or budget constraints the team was working with…so it’s an ignorant complaint at best. Bottom line, get the game, it’s well worth it.

I’m at the part of trying to make a fire in the cave and everytime I select and drag the knife over to the stones it switches to a file…..
Had potential
Great setup and had a lot of potential. This is a game where you have to click on stuff for clues or useable objects and you will find yourself having to click on a lot of random stuff to find what you want. For example, the first thing you do is search for a multi-tool and it is some random object on the floor rather than something on a workbench where you would think to look. I really like the story setup and the art. Seems to have a good mix of humor too. I stopped playing after 30 minutes. This would make a good candidate for a trial and pay once you know you like it. I also found the inventory easier to use in guided access.
Worth every penny! and then some!
First, I have to give a shout out to the amazing people behind this game. I was stuck at one point and was sure I had encountered a glitch, so I emailed the development team. Someone got back to be in a matter of hours with a very helpful hint! Best customer service ever! If you think you’re seeing a glitch, it probably isn’t. Just keep trying different things! I just beat the game on my super old iPhone 8, so it definitely works. The story is great, the puzzles are super entertaining, the music and art are memorable, and the voice acting is fantastic. I have no criticisms at all. I can’t wait to replay!

Ich hatte mich sehr auf das Spiel gefreut, aber die Bedienung - iPhone 15 Pro - ist mir zu nervig. Wenn ich z.B. oben rechts klicke, um das Menu aufzurufen, kommen Kommentare wie „Ich kann noch nicht gehen“ anstatt Lupe und Optionen anzuzeigen. Spiel wurde gelöscht.
Fun, great storyline, creative
Always looking for games like this, and the storyline here made it interesting and fun, and kept me hooked to keep playing. The dialog and characters were funny and well developed, and each challenge had a unique narrative. Plenty to look at, and always enjoy the inside jokes and references to classics (laughed out loud at the twin peaks reference). All around fun and mysterious game, would recommend, and wish I could play for the first time again!
