- Cheaper than big brand competitors
- Shows underwater structure and drop-offs
- Simple and easy to use
What they complain about
- GPS location is often way off
- Support never replies to emails
- Forces you to repurchase maps often
- Depth accuracy can be surprisingly bad
Great fishing tool
Wish it showed fishing spots on map. And a few more lakes. But it’s a great help for finding structure
It needs this
A legend would be very helpful. I’m still not positive what the orange dots and red lines mean. I can’t do anything other than look at this map.
Could be better.
The only problem I have is that the lake maps are not very defined.
Meh
App doesn’t pinpoint my location accurately and the depths have been off by several feet which makes a big difference in smaller lakes.
Where is my upgrade?
I purchased for an upgrade expecting more detailed maps.Instead I got the same thing as if I never paid into this app. Very disappointed.
Good
Works good use it for ice fishing better than paying a fortune for the garmin app
Thieves
Stole $15 from me and gave me nothing. Same as i-Boating. FRAUD
Needs more
Good but could be better— needs a “save “ button to keep what you just found, needs a “ vegetation on surface “ button— needs more but that’s enough—-
Good untill it wasn’t
I like the app but every so often you need to get a new pin to put in to refresh maps. That’s fine until recently when the pins they send me are no good. And no one from customer service has emails me back about a new one. I have Emailed two time now with no response.
Lost Info
I had the old version for years and it was great. The new, updated version (green badging & label) does not have as much info on it as the old one! Specifically, depth topo maps for certain lakes are gone. For instance, Lake Murray in San Diego California no longer has a bathymetry map. Just disappeared. Gone, no reason.
Awesome app
I can know chart with confidence
Cash grab
I chose this app over navionics because I do not like subscriptions. And what a mistake. I wanted this because it said it would show my location, I like to follow the old underground river in a favorite lake, but no matter what I set my location Services to, it always shows me about. A quarter mile away, not even on the lake at all. And the second major issue and this is a major one, despite paying the full price and now says I’m using the light version and no matter what I do. The restore button doesn’t do anything, but the purchase maps sure does work. I’ve restarted my device deleted and reinstall the app. It doesn’t matter so now it went from useless to the light version of useless.. For what they charge they could do a whole lot better.
Very good value
This app was very detailed and free reminded me of navionics but this app is free.
I’ve had to pay for this app 3 times without changing phones.
Not sure why but I’ve had to repurchase this app 3 times. Really there are better versions of this with less hassle. Don’t waste your time.
Great app but needs more lakes
Was wondering if you were able to add minnow lake Sudbury Ontario.. would be a big help
My new Navionics
After Garmin bought Navionics, they raised the prices through the roof. I tried virtually every app on the store finally settling on this one. Include hd sonar contours of most lakes with fishing spots. Reasonably priced and easy to use.
Inaccurate GPS readings
GPS is inaccurate. Forced to repurchase same map for my lake each year.
It’s missing some lake depths
It needs more info and some lakes displayed aren’t actual lakes they are just swimming pools
No good
Save your money.
Ok but not great
The maps look good but the scale can be misleading. The area of deep water is larger than it’s picture suggests. All in all it works for having an idea of where the drop offs are.
Great Terrain Detail & Tracking
I don’t have a fish finder or any tech. I use this app on my kayak to find structure in both lakes and on the salt water. Having the ability to track myself on the map is excellent. Tide and current data is also very helpful. I use it all the time.
Having to purchase maps multiple times
I bought old maps but have to pay another 30 dollars for the new maps.
Are the pink lines along lakes the main river/creek channels?
Are the pink lines along lakes the main river/creek channels?
Not what I expected
Bought the upgrade for this app and nothing that I can see even changed with it. Also not all the lakes I fish on are depth mapped.
Subscription based? Who knows?
I’m using the lite version which seems like it may be a good app. I emailed Support three days ago asking if this was a one-time purchase, but have received no reply. This makes me wonder about future support. I’d simply like to know if this is an app that is going to require a yearly purchase. Will I lose my saved data at the end of the first year purchase period if I don’t renew? While waiting for a reply to my question, I’ll keep searching for other similar apps.
Great depth chart maps for lakes .
I have been using the free app and love it.would buy the upgrade but can’t find out if the app has gps location.
app is just scam not true
app is just scam not true
Wish there were more lakes
You Should get a contract with Lowrance, beats their maps in Canada!
Location is bad
Has horrible positioning was atleast 80 yard off from my actual location
Not User Friendly
Can't tell what's what. It's just a map as far as I'm concerned. Nothing on there tells you how to identify fishing spots, etc. Great concept but needs improvement.
Great navigation tool
I have really enjoyed this app. I use it for everything fishing related.
Need tech help
This app does not have our correct location. I’m thinking it’s money for nothing.
Lake depths
Most lake depths are pretty good but some are way off. The last lake I went to the depth was off 13 ft
Confusing
Too difficult to understand and use. Not at all intuitive.
Great data
I was fishing a new area and after a day or too of nothing I downloaded this app and was able to pinpoint where a shelf and shelter rocks were and I limited out after a few hours, great app and easy to use and very simple which is perfect!
Not a serious app
This is not a serious attempt to create a useful app. The interface is terrible and the map data can be found elsewhere with a usable interface.
Great but not great fees!!!
Nice maps but it is expensive, especially in a world were you pay for ever single entertainment add on, tv, internet, never thought this would be more than like $5-10 a year
Disappointed in the lack of details
There is no difference between the Marine GPS vs the Fishing GPS so don’t buy both like I did. The fishing GPS has absolutely nothing about fishing on the app. Nothing, so why call it a fishing gps. Also, not enough information about what’s around like Marinas on either app.
Fishing like crazy
Love this app. Has helped me hammer the walleyes.
Scammy…
I bought the subscription yet it keeps asking me to buy more layers. Not to be trusted.
Lake Depth
The accuracy can be way off in depth .
Way too expensive for what it provides
It’s a useful app but I don’t think I’m going to buy it anymore.
Saved My Week
My boat I rented at our resort didn’t have a depth finder. This App gave accurate depths that put us on the fish all week, as well as kept us out of the rocks. Seriously saved our week of fishing.
Fix my app does not work
I bought this app on my I phone 13 I upgraded to I phone 15 and all that I have now is the light version.
Contour map
That could help users understand better, and able to set marker on the desired spots, especially for anglers.
Zoom
When you zoom in on the screen the depth numbers don’t enlarge with the contour lines of the lake.!?
