I love this game
Ad Farming
Not much game here, mostly just shoving ads for bonuses in your face at every turn, or purchases whenever you do anything. Also has required end-of-level ads if you don’t voluntarily watch a bonus ad. Battles are just clicking a few times on buttons that represent the opponents, no real skill involved.
Ai Art :/
In a nutshell, the gameplay is good and has great replay value. There are micro-transactions, but they can be easily avoided. Ads will exist (its a mobile game, so its normal) However, there is Ai art in the game. If you don’t mind Ai, then ignore this. The gameplay, mechanics, and everything essentially make it a great experience to play :). I have installed this game almost every time i get a new phone. I stopped playing last year due to the update that increased ad usage to the point where the game was essentially micro-transaction hell. However, playing this game now is great, due to the ad’s being reduced significantly (yes, there are ads still, but I personally don’t feel they ruin the experience.) However, the usage of Ai art makes me not want to play the game. I’m going to sound like an english teacher, but using Ai to substitute human art feels soulless. It’s just a small nitpick, but i enjoyed the charm of the hand-crafted pixel art the game had before the micro-transactions stopped me from playing last time. It made me enjoy the game :).
Phone died. Character dies too. Not good design.
I don’t like this mechanic. Save my run. Other games do it. What if I just close the app? Same thing? Now I have to wait an hour and 30 minutes to try again.
I love this game but…
I had this game back on my Android, spent a decent amount. Figure I’m supporting the developers. Found out that I can’t restore my purchases. That’s fine, I liked the game that much I was willing to do it all over again. I’ve run into so many bugs on the IOS version. My screen would glitch locking the game mid battle. I’d reload the game and my character wouldn’t be able to select my mercenary because they’d be considered defeated. I gave the game 3/5 cause I genuinely like this game.
Won’t let me continue
I get to a screen where it says DeadShell Then there is a pistol on the bottom right and it won’t let me do anything to continue. It’s fun but doesn’t let me do anything else.
Confusing, Predatory, and Boring
I gave this game a fair chance, but it's honestly one of the worst mobile games I've played. The gameplay loop gets repetitive very quickly, and the game does a poor job of explaining how you're supposed to win or lose. Instead of feeling strategic, it feels like you're constantly being pushed toward spending money. The biggest issue is that the game hides microtransactions behind buttons that don't clearly look like purchases. It's far too easy to accidentally tap something that costs real money—I've seen purchases up to around $15. On top of that, you're practically forced to buy things like ammo crates or other resources just to keep playing at a reasonable pace. The UI is cluttered, confusing, and unattractive. Nearly every screen is filled with what looks like AI-generated artwork, making the whole game feel cheap and low effort. Overall, this feels like an obvious AI-generated cash grab rather than a well-designed game. I can't recommend it.
Get more ammo with delta trooper
I have more than enough ammo for certain characters but why watch an ad for three ammo bullets? That takes FOREVER. How about we use coins, DNA (and monster DNA) to buy more ammo? As for ads? How about get 10-20 bullets per ad instead of three bullets per ad? I like the game, but the ammo

It’s a fun little game that shines in most places but needs more content.
I’ve played this game for about 2 years now, use it as a time waster when traveling or whatever. Art style is nice, same with the music and gameplay to. However, grinding for ammo and leveling up your characters is a BIG grind. This game deserves more content and love. Newest review since the recent update: while I’m happy to see this game still being worked on i’m shocked with the sheer amount of ads that are forced on you whether it playing the game or just upgrading your Mercenary's. The ammo grind is even worse now and repeatedly encouraging players to buy ammo bundles which can be burned through in mere minutes is also a big pain to deal with. Final verdict: 3 star compared to my last review since the grinding for resources is even worse than what it was before and im not going to spend 10-20 bucks just for 100 of every ammo which is gonna be gone in the next 10-15 minutes tops.

Fun game, bad ads
My rating is for the game/concept itself. I played this game a ton back in 2019, and really enjoyed it. I’m not a fan of rogue likes, but the cool synth wave music, and the Doom-esque environment and characters kept me around. I “found it” again just recently, and the new content is nice to see, but man, it’s Ads-City. Everything has an ad, everything drives you to buy stuff, and it’s just too blatant, that the atmosphere is ruined by it. I absolutely want these guys to make some good money, but I think the ad delivery could be done better, where it’s less intrusive, and even more incentivized. I’m sure some of us would pay to have a version with no ads, and just a micro transaction store, *if* the game is tuned and balanced for loot acquisition and difficulty. Making levels replayable, or ammo less scarce, or maybe more skills to help during fights (like a single stun, or dodge, or accuracy boost, etc), there are many ways to go about it, that I’m sure you guys can figure out. I wish the devs success with this game. Hope they can flesh it out sooner than later!
No save. Has potential
Wish there was a save function. If you change phones or have to get a new one. You will lose all your progress. This includes any purchases you have done. As a free game it’s a novel experience. It has a lot of potential to be a great game though. One of the few tactical rogue strategy games out there.
Fun game, few bugs
This game is terrific I’ve been playing it for years. I played it on my other phone and watched it develop into what it is today. The problems I’m having with this game are the bugs. I had my medic and sniper reset on XP when I had them at around lvl 12. Anyone who plays this game will notice how much of a credit sink that is and that the levels aren’t getting any easier with all the new monsters you’ll face as you grind. Another bug to note is when you’re clearing a level and the next tiles don’t get revealed after a fight. Soft locking your sector clear if you hadn’t already discovered the exit forcing you to wait for x amount of time for your mercenary to be revived since you “failed” the last sector.

Is this even a game?
It’s basically an ad-watching app. Watch an ad to restore health, watch an ad to restore ammo, watch an ad to open an extra reward, watch an ad… The gameplay is just tapping on enemies. There’s really nothing else to it. There’s no strategy involved, at least not in the first 5-10 stages. Hard pass.
Ad Simulator
There is a really fun game here but you have to wade through countless ads to get to it. Why can’t I just give you $10 and play the intended game? Everything is ad based. Want some more ammo: Watch an ad, Want to revive: Watch an ad, Want to double your rewards: Watch an ad. If you aren’t suckered into watching an ad then you are going to spend your premium currency. This game definitely features all of the problems with mobile gaming; great game that you never really get a chance to play.

I’ll keep this short: The game is fun and very easy to learn and play. Also, the lack of ads is also a nice bonus. 10 out of 10. Wish there were more games like this in the App Store

Can’t switch weapons in combat
Would be better if you could switch weapons in combat to avoid attacking something that has resistance to your weapon or having to melee cause the weapon you chose had not enough ammo
Interesting but ultimately unfun
The game has great graphics and a compelling gameplay loop. You play a mercenary fighting monsters in a rogue-lite dungeon crawler. The wheels come off quickly when you have to start grinding for ammo for the weapons. Ammo is rarely found in levels requiring the player to watch long and intrusive ads for an extra clip to get them through a battle. The monetization is excessive. The rpg elements are poorly implemented and require excessive grinding (which wastes ammo which you also have to grind for). Overall I’d say give this one a pass. You will have to wait 12 hours for a supply crate to hopefully get ammo so you can play half a level (and then run out of said ammo and have to watch ads to reload so you can finish the level.)
Recent Update = Uninstall
The game was great - sure, it was a pain to grind, and progress became slow, but it was still a game that I would come back to whenever I had a free moment to nuke some aliens and zombies. I also didn’t have to spend money or see ads unless I wanted to, which was how I liked it. With the most recent update, however, I won’t be playing anymore unfortunately. Though there is now more content that really fleshes out the game in a much needed way, now there is also a constant ad banner across the top of the screen. Also, a random app ad will pop up in-game at regular intervals. Really interrupts the gameplay for me, and makes what was normally an enjoyable foray into the game now a hassle.

Grubby micro transactions galore
Feels like a fun game hidden under ads and multiple currencies. Bullets act as a finite “energy” in case you accidentally start having fun

I love this game, but I hate how you have to spend credits to level up your characters.
Decent idea, failed execution.
The resource scarcity is so bad it’s like the old doom with just the pistol. No skill can headshot things to make up for a lack of ammo. No secret room with ammo stores. Just short grinding. Even the “free ammo” dumps are ones every 6 hour or so and you have to fight entire dungeon groups. You may get 15 ~ 30 bullets for a crate. One “dungeon” will take 45 rounds. If you have money to burn find a game that isn’t this knockoff. This is a drain. A boring one at that.
Great game mauled by F2P garbage
You should quit around level 150, when you’re waiting about an hour for each hero to respawn. Also the amount of time watching ads compared to actually playing the game is ridiculous. Devs - Update your years old paid version and I’d happily buy that over playing this.

Ammunition
I understand that your team needs to make money but please make it so it is easier to get more ammunition. I find myself enjoy the game but the higher levels I get the harder it is to even play, please make the room and crate drops have ammo in them because I can’t even play no more
Disconnects from headphones when playing
I think the game is great, a tiny bit repetitive but only after playing for extended time periods, would recommend to anyone. My only issue is that for some reason whenever I open the game, the sound starts playing through my speaker instead of the headphones I’m connected to. This hasn’t happened with any other app before & is a little frustrating & confusing. I figured it was caused by the game rather than my device since it’s the only app that does this, if that is the case a fix or at least some kind of investigation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this, & thank you for putting together such a good game :)
Was fun, now loaded with ads
I’m ok with the banner ads at the top of the screen, but I don’t think there needs to be video ads as well. Too many changes involving timers, and too many added features.
Wish it wasn’t pay to play
Great game. Would rather pay one flat amount to unlock a game then constantly having to grind or pay a stupid amount for credits or crates.
Addicting and fun. Good plot.
I recently got this game and love it already! It’s addicting and doesn’t have any forced ads or in app purchases. And the plot and story is a nice side thing too! Already recommended it to my friends.
No option to remove ads
Game seems neat. Interesting ideas and unique mechanics. Nice pixel art. Not overly monetized. But it features (optional) ads to increase rewards, as many mobile games do, but unlike pretty much all of it's competitors, it has no way to turn off ads for a one time fee (that I could find). This means that, regardless of how good it is as a game, I'll feel compelled to watch ads for half my playtime, which is, sadly, not something I'm interested in doing. Uninstalled. Edit: Thanks for the response! If you guys ever implement a way to disable ads permanently for a one time fee, I'll be back for sure. Lots to like here, but I just can't deal with that many ads.
Great game
What’s with the sound being so low I could barley hear anything. It would be even more interesting if u can travel in your own customized spaceship and fight on different planets

I really want to like this game. The art style and game loop are great, and there really aren't too many adds, but the way it's designed to intentionally limit resources and halt gameplay, forcing the player to buy ammo and "dna" is just awful. If I could pay for a full version of this game for like 4-5$ I would, but as it is now, it's broken. Sorry.

Mobile app devs need to stop exclusively messing with audio or background playback. Probably a bug. I’ll give it another try if there’s an update.

I don’t usually type these reviews, but this game is amazing! It’s addictive, fast, and an all around good game. With lots of items to find, you will never get bored. I highly recommend!
Repeative
Too many ads that distract from the gameplay
Has a lot of potential
Great art style, sound design and basic gameplay rhythm, but for a roguelike is strangely lacking in a sense of tension. The lack of a player avatar makes you feel detached from the environment, and the fact that monsters don’t move or even attack until you strike first gives the uncomfortable feeling that they’re hiding from you in fear (the pitiful wails of the insect-like enemies don’t help). I love space horror so I really want to like this game more than I do.

I actually like the concept of this game but as of recently I’ve had a major issue where I’m unable to play it. Every time I start the app up the game gives me a message saying unable to connect and won’t let me play any further pass this screen. Please tell me the fix for this so I can change my review to 5 starts cause I actually really enjoy how fun this game can be!!
Good prototype, but that’s all
Feels like a great test of a game. Fun to try, but laking anything to keep you going. When you get a new character, they are hopelessly useless. And, while there are hints of a narrative, none of it exists in game. Love the art and can imagine lots of potential.

Why does it use the phone speaker?
Like why does it use that speaker in particular? Why not use the normal speaker on the bottom? It uses the speaker that’s used in calls. The games alright but what’s up with that speaker?
Audio issues
I do not usually leave reviews but I think it is important to do so now. The audio defaults to phone speakers instead of ear buds/AirPods.
It’s fine, good even
Games fine, controls well, music/sound is good. The pick 1 of 3 chance game, at the end of a level, feels curated; it shows you a crate, but won’t give you the crate until you buy all 3 chances. In 30 levels I have never once won the crate on the first or even second try. (3rd try requires a credit you buy with IRL money) Money is hard to come by and is a progress killer. The grind hurts this game, the prices for equipment are steep.
