Very glitchy & unprofessional
I have tried to use this app throughout the years. While they have made improvements, it continues to fail. I have had it just stop playing music after a song is done. It will NOT crossfade with any song that isn’t ZIN. So infuriating!
Great Music, But Please Improve the Features
The music on ZIN Play is great, but the functionality still needs improvement. For example, when sharing playlists, it only exports the names — it would be much more helpful if we could actually import full playlists directly. Also, why can’t new ZIN members access older videos? Some of the old songs are amazing, and we really want to learn them! Shouldn’t new instructors be encouraged to practice more, not be limited? Zumba is supposed to be joyful and inclusive — for everyone. This kind of restriction feels unnecessarily discouraging.
Songs Keep Stopping
Songs randomly stop playing; this has happened during my classes multiple times. This is unacceptable given we must pay for this feature as a ZIN member and we RELY on these songs for our classes. For there to be continual bug issues with music stopping is not acceptable. It’s unprofessional and embarrassing. It has happened MULTIPLE times. I have restarted my phone. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Updated the app. Cleared out my phone storage. Anything I can think of to help but it keeps happening. Please FIX IT
My Zin Play Low/High is off
In Zumba Lessons, instructions say that in Zin Play, selecting music low to high goes slower to faster and vice versa for High to low. That’s not the case with this app. When I select low to high I get fast paced rapid rhythm music. Then selecting high to low gives slow music. Also, on the instructor training program, some features look different, so it’s a little complicated to follow the trainer’s instructions. Maybe she’s using a different operating system on her smart phone. I think this app needs updating; especially for iPhone users.

I think the app is great! I have the tools I need to practice, create and make the best playlist. One thing that could fixed, if possible, is the volume of the Apple songs when we use their songs. I often have to turn the Apple songs way up on the stereo and then quickly turn the stereo down before the next song comes on, otherwise the whole class would need hearing aids! If there is a way to make the music all one volume please let me know. Thank you, ZHO!

Would love to have this on my apple laptop so I don’t have to use my phone. When will the app be available for Mac ? App still crashes in the middle of class. I am up to date on the latest version. I love all the edits you can do to the songs. Makes the playlists seem very DJ professional :)
Not so great
Lots of cool features but when I add a song to favorites or create a playlist, the next time I open the app none of it is there and I have to start from square 1. Pretty frustrating

I like the app on my Apple phone. Please make the same app for the Apple Watch. I never bring my phone to the gym. Watch would make it easier to control the music in class. 😊👍

❗❗❗I want to cancel my membership it and I can't!! Do not fall for this scam!!!!🤬🤬🤬 n order for you to keep your status as an instructor you have to pay about $45 a month. Then when you want to cancel that membership you are only allowed to cancel via phone call. Not allowed to cancel by letter, email or voicemail. What they don't tell you is that they do not answer the phone. You will sit on the phone for over 3 hours and not speak to a single human. All you will hear are prerecorded voices and the same song on a one minute loop. I have reached out via email, phone call, facebook and instagram and no response. I have even left a voicemail that they claim they will get back to you. Worst customer service experience in my life.
Changes version of nonZumba songs
i mostly love this app. There is a new glitch that makes the instructor look unprofessional. If there is an explicit version of a song, and you choose the clean version….it will play the clean version for one class, and then randomly change it to the explicit version…oh and there is no demarcation of “E” for explicit versions, so you have no idea until it plays in your class. Embarrassing.
Too Many Bugs
Now suddenly, I have had to reinstall the app everyday because only the Apple Music songs play in the app, but the Zin songs do not. Also, when downloading Apple Music songs, there is no way of distinguishing the explicit from clean versions and sometimes it can be a very long process to even find the song you want. Additionally, the volume drastically changes from ZIN songs to Apple songs (embarrassing when your students keep calling it out!).
Great app but has problems
This is a great app for Zumba classes. But after almost two years, today the break between songs is not working for all the songs! I can choose the seconds I need and no matter that, the next song starts in 1 second. Those breaks are what make this app great! Nobody is helping with the issue.
Can adjust volume of songs within playlist
I absolutely love this app. I use it always for my classes. However now I’m unable to adjust volume settings of my songs. Was there an update that changed this? Please update the app to enable volume adjustment.
Used to be great
App keeps crashing during class having to exit out and go back in. The lock screen play window doesn’t work if it’s an Apple Music song. It now won’t play certain songs that I have been using my playlists for months.. and no fixes.. so frustrating.. I am using Apple Music from now on
Songs getting soft
While teaching lately some of the songs on my playlist are getting really soft where we can’t hear them then they come back on. My phone is set on silent and no calls are set to come through so that’s not what’s wrong. I’m not sure why this is happening.
Cannot play downloaded iTunes songs
Used to work very well. But Stopped working with the latest iOS upgrades. ZIN Play App cannot play the iTunes songs that have been already downloaded locally on my phone.
The app decides when it wants to work
I have been using this app for years and it over all is great. But , when it's not ... it's not. Currently having an issue with my Apple Music being imported into the app. I've paid and downloaded these songs onto my phone(songs are unrestricted) and still can't access them. I've tried to speak to ZIN PLAY reps and am met with a never ending battle. If you use strictly ZIN music , the app is 100% worth it. But if you are using other resources of music I would recommend experimenting with what works best for you. Zumba is an amazing platform and as an instructor offers us so many resources. I just truly hope this gets worked out. I see others have the same issues.
App not working during Lock Screen
Recently updated my iPhone software. App has been working fine since I updated; however, today in class the app stopped working when my lock screen came on. It‘s always worked on lock screen even after the most recent software update except today it decided not to. Had to change my settings so my screen wouldn’t lock.

Very cool app. One fix it needs is when I rearrange songs on a playlist, I can’t do it on my iPhone SE nor SE 2. I can however rearrange songs on my iPad. So until it’s fixed I have to have my iPad nearby.
App keeps losing my downloads
This app is completely broken. I have playlists with songs that I have downloaded from Apple Music. Everyday I open the app, my downloads have disappeared and are unplayable. The only fix is to go to Apple Music, remove the downloads and then download them again. Then they are once again playable in the ZIN app. This happens every day. Getting old.
It’s buggy
Ideally, app would be great if it worked consistently. Would not play my songs continuously in class yesterday and Apple Music songs are so low in volume, it’s hard to hear them. Also, you have to constantly re-download the song from Apple Music even though Apple Music shows it’s already downloaded.

App Fails all the time
I have been using this app for a while and it is constantly failing to play videos. I can’t even get through a workout!! It’s so frustrating!
App always freezes
This app always freezes on my iPhone. I have to turn my phone off and on to unfreeze it. This happens up to 5 times a day. Someone please fix this.
Not working for me
I wish I didn’t have to reinstall the app every other week. I’m not sure what’s wrong but it’s not because of my phone since every other app works just fine.
iTunes won’t play when downloaded on ZIN Play app
This has been so frustrating! I’ve had to revert back to just using my iTunes and then can’t play all the ZIN songs!

I love that I can watch, and review choreo and set up my playlists. I think this app is fantastic. I use it all of the time.
Frozen App
This app keeps freezing on me and saying songs aren’t there when they are on my brand new IPod Touch. It freezes multiple times a day and logs me out all the time. When I type in my information to log in, it will say my password is incorrect when it’s not and then all of a sudden will work later on. Update 8.23.22: Developer has contacted me about how it’s optimal on phone to use. I use the brand new iPod touch so I can use my phone to record clips of my class. You can’t do that if you are using your phone to play music for class, hence the use of the iPod touch. Could we try to make it work for the iPod touch?
Great functionality but needs improvement
Love the ability to adjust volume and speed of individual tracks. Love the trim function and that it will play stuff off Apple Music. Wishing that it I can install on Apple Watch so I can control it remotely. (With recent watch update, it no longer recognizes third party music apps). Also would be nice to be able to cross fade between certain songs on playlist (not all or none).

My music freezes it is delayed when I touch the screen. I don’t have this issue on iTunes? Also even after I download songs from apple music it has skipped those songs. Sometimes it works and then it doesn’t 😢 I love this app but.....
Won’t work in lock screen
I also LOVE this app, but since the Apple Music integration my phone doesn’t recognize that I’m using the app unless I unlock my phone. From a zumba instructor perspective, it’s a pain in the rear to have to unlock my phone each time I need to access the app to pause/rewind/adjust the volume. Because it doesn’t recognize it as playing music, I can’t sync it with my Fitbit either... urgh!!! PLEASE FIX this issue!!
Update downer
Can no longer use this app even though it says iOS 12.0. I use my old iPad, which is at 12.5.5, and the app no longer works. Before I would’ve given it a 5 star rating. But it just dropped to a big fat ZERO! So disappointed as I was using it for all my Gold and Aqua classes. I can’t use my iPhone due to risk of damage around the pool.

Used to be great...
I used to use the app daily with no issues but now it is useless. I was excited about the Apple Musuc interface I have had so many issues since it happened late last year. It stil does not work well with Apple Watch and the music controls never work correctly. Also I have had several classes just about ruined because the music stopped and I wa a unable to get it started. All the songs were downloaded and there should have been no reason for this. I have copied all my playlists over to Apple Music and will use that from now on. I will miss the crossfade and trim features in Zinplay but it’s now worth ruining my class.
Could use some important minor updates
When viewing any ZIN Volume, why is there no option to watch the entire release? It’s all segmented per song. When these release it would be nice to be able to press play and do the entire thing without having to exit the screen, scroll to the next track, and play the video. This is a very basic feature. Also, it’s quite irritating that once you are viewing the video and press the maximize screen button, the video pauses. Like...why? Any other streaming video platform will simply continue to play the video AS it maximizes the video to fit the device’s screen. This is another basic feature that I really hope is fixed. It would certainly make me reconsider my rating ;)

Zin play freedom!
I love this app but it would benso much more interesting to have it on more than one device!!! We need to prepare ourselves in case of emergency in class and use Zin Play only on 1 device its riskie
Latest update has caused issues
My Apple Watch 3 worked perfectly to control my zinplay app before this latest update. I could control the songs, pause them, skip to the next song, all from my watch. It’s one of the reasons I bought the watch, so that I could have that convenience. After the latest ZIN play app update, my watch no longer does that- it doesn’t even recognize when I play music through my ZIN play app. I am beyond frustrated about this and I don’t understand why this has happened. Are you working on a fix for this?it worked before the update, and I know I’m not the only person with this issue. Please fix this!
