Hate the update
Loved the game before this update. I much preferred the guide lines before the update. The update makes it more complicated and less fun to play. Can you add an option to go back to the old settings please

I have been scouring the App Store to find a good pool game. I’ve tried them all, and none of them compare to this game. It performs like a mobile PC game, very comparable, almost on par with ShootersPool. The only way I feel like this game could get better is if we had some more content, I guess you could say. More carbon fiber! We need carbon break and jump shafts. I feel like adding ball sets and different tables would be great too, as well as more felt colors like light gray. Like I mentioned, this is overall an amazing functioning game. That is not where I feel like this game is lacking. I just personally think we need more customization.
CANT PLAY ONLINE
In the latest update, I can't play online. It keeps crashing.
Shot? What shot?
The only thing I’m mad as hell about this game is that quite often it won’t let you take your shot!!! You position the angle of the shot (very carefully!!) adjust the view, try to move the cue back and forth and …….NOTHING!!! Instead, it shifts the scene (again!) and there seems to be no way to get the cue to move to play the shot. It’s SOOOOOO annoying!!! Also I would like to stand behind the LINE of the shot as I can’t seem to get the aim lines to work properly, but it’s not a big deal (I’m lazy!) But this shot taking thing is HUGE and puts me off playing this otherwise great simulation. Everything else is great. (Oh, and I wish I didn’t keep getting hassled to “take the money”!!! I mean, I can beat most of the players here anyway - IF I’m allowed to take my shots!!)

Default Cue Position
Why is the default cue position a follow shot? it’s sooo easy to scratch because i would have to edit cue spin every shot and that’s annoying. Please allow us to set default position on where we would hit the cue ball.

Update.
Why change things that didn’t need to be changed? When I opened up my vp4 I noticed it was abit different and after some time realised it had been updated for the first time in a long time. My career and my tour games became unplayable as my cue wouldn’t shoot the cue ball. It would pull back ok but pushing forward to shoot just wouldn’t work. So I figured since it was an update then uninstalling and reinstalling would probably fix it. This did work and I was able to shoot but NOT as normal. Not only did I lose all my pro tour and hustler games but To my horror everything had changed on the interface. Shooting the cue is no long done by putting your finger on the cue and pushing forward but now the cue is at the right of the screen and the strength of shot is now determined by how far you pull back but instead of pushing the cue forward you let go of the cue. Putting English in the ball is now done horribly different. You click on the cueball at the bottom of the screen and you are then greeted with a big cue all with a dot and you move the dot according to how much English you need. I could go on. I have been a fan of virtual pool since the early days where I started with VP2 I think. I used to be a regular on game spy for years playing with PC with vp3 and VP4. Circumstances took me away from pc playing and a few years ago discovered the phone version which I’ve loved and never stopped playing it since I installed it. Now this update has completely ruined for me. I hate it now because it’s not the game I’ve loved and played for many years. I don’t know if it’s possible to revert back to the previous version but if not I’m going to have to uninstall and find an alternative. I don’t think I’ll be able to find a pool game as good as VP4 was before this update tho. Very sad!!

I was very impressed in the beginning. Now not so much. I’ve got 36000 in my “wallet” in the game but can’t do a dang thing with it. The ball movement was excellent in the beginning but then I started noticing odd ball behavior. The shots that I was makin easy in hustler mode were just not sinking in the next level. Why can’t a game just not be a game on here and something not be shady.

Hands down the best 3D pool game around. Celeris did an incredible job on this game. Only advice I would give is to practice your shot control with cue ball. If you just aim and shoot you will probably be scratching a lot. Many negative reviews state that this is why they don’t play. Even in real pool this ability to control your cue ball after the initial strike is what separates beginners from seasoned players. I’ve gotten much better at this game and rarely scratch as a result of practicing cue ball control. They have made a great game that in my opinion is far more realistic than any other. If you like pool and want an app to be as close to the real thing as possible then you need to download this game. It’s awesome!!!

Great but don’t understand some thing
This is by far one of if not the best mobile pool game. How ever I don’t understand why the developer would charge to play other game types like 9 ball for example. I would understand a supper op cue or something like that but not another game mode, and before you ask I know that it’s for the developer to make money.

Can’t disable guides??
Am I missing something here? I have all references to aim lines etc in the settings menu switched to ‘off’ and yet they persist? I’ve been playing this game on PC for several years and don’t need the aim lines (in fact they’re a hindrance). It seems ridiculous that an option to disable them isn’t there. Also, in the PC version all the HUD clutter can be turned off. Would love to see that option included somehow. Other than those gripes this is a solid simulation and faithful to the PC version in many ways.

Online play - Payment per game using credits, really?
Good to see we now have the ability to play online, but I am highly doubtful over the chosen model. Paying for per game surely helps the vendor cover infrastructure costs, but the cost of entry is too high IMHO. I entered a game in which I didn’t play a single shot, it was over immediately after the opponents break-off. That does not represent value for money. I am yet to discover what happens if your opponent leaves early, or if there is a failure in communication for whatever reason. There is a balance to be had between milking the system, and making a bit of money off a legacy product. This is a feature I’ll not be using. EDIT (2025-04-02): Extremely unreliable multi-player connection, often hard to find a match or get a game actually going. Today I was part way through a game, and winning, before the connection dropped. Credit lost. I do not have these problems with any other online iOS game. EDIT (2025-08-01): Significant improvements to monetisation method, seems like the devs have found a good balance. Its is now clear the error “The connection to the GameCenter has been lost.” mostly occurs when an opponent is going to lose the match, suggesting they have left the game. Would be good to see some method of control around this, to either award the game appropriately, or penalise the loser. Still difficult to get games at certain times of the day, wonder if most users are from Asia?!
Still the best pool simulation available by far
This new version is streamlined a bit from the original iPad version but it’s the only game available that is actually very close to playing real pool. If you play the tour the tables will increase in difficulty which is what you want. Nothing comes close Virtual Pool when you wanna to feel like shooting but can’t get out there to do it. Give this a try if you actually like shooting and if you want to improve your game.

Exactly what I wanted
It took me a while searching the App Store to find a pool game I could settle into. All I really wanted was an old fashioned experience without all of the assistance, like aim assistance or ball trajectories, and without the game things. This has what I wanted, and more. The Graphics and control are excellent. I can turn off the assistance features and, if I want to, I can play solo or against an ai opponent. There’s also a couple different career modes. For free, there’s a lot to have fun with. I gave it 4 stars instead of five because when I first started the app it halted and wouldn’t proceed. I thought it crashed, but it eventually entered the title screen. Haven’t had any problems since.

Very good
I still play this game on my computer. The app is a big improvement over the old one. However there is one bug where at a certain point I can no longer backstroke and I have to quit the game. The backstroke mode doesn’t detect any touch on the pool cue. I play 3C. Thanks

Excellent port to iOS
Love this game on the PC and was impressed to find a great port on here. My only gripe is that I can’t listen to music or podcasts while playing. Online play would be great too.
Update crashes after clicking on play button.
The most recent update is terribly flawed. 1) The controls and navigation are no longer intuitive. Impacts finger movements. 2) You can no longer tap to remove the ball counter. It makes it impossible to view longer shots. 3) The program crashes after touching the play button. Restarting the phone and resorting back to a fresh install does not help. This version is not even close to the past release. The pinball option is a waste of screen layout. Otherwise I love what you’re doing with the app.
Rough port
Free version only has 6 ball which is reasonable as its not a free game, but the control scheme is poor in how you have to drag the cue in order to shoot. Really messes up aiming sometimes when it doesnt work and really tough to get good power. Impressive to have running on iphone though

One bug- very difficult to select ‘ball on’ also,Just wish couple things - skip faster.. not have to wait for computer to do practice strokes - slow mo replay - undo in career modes… let me cheat if I want it’s just a game
Took my money for the full game package
Paid for the full hame package. Says everything is installed, but will only let me play 6 ball. No way I can get my money back that I can find. Beware! Obviously, I would give this a minus 5 stars.
Cue Ball Pocket Warp
It’s a fun game. Live the cue mechanism. If you played other games in this series, you know what I mean. The power of the shot depends on how far you drag the pool back and forward. Much better than those games where you tap on a slider to determine the power of the shot. I took one star away because I’ve never, in all my years of playing pool seen the white ball end up in the pocket so often. Seems like pockets are black holes for the cue ball. The tables also seem too fast. The white rolls on forever. Wish I could slow down the tables. Happens on all difficulty levels. I’m currently playing straight pool on Hard. Still a lot of fun.
Please fix
After playing for quite a while the game has glitches in a way that makes the camera angle unusable and makes the game unplayable. I’ve tried closing and restarting the app, rebooting my phone, and manually changing the camera settings. So I gave up and started a new career but it happened again. Please fix this issue.
