I understand that this aids language learners but this looked promising until it got to the payments. I thought that this app had a chance at beating duolingo but I thought wrong. Really disappointed:(

Впервые в жизни пишу здесь отзыв и ставлю оценку. Не могу не высказаться. Раньше было очень хорошее приложение. Много слов было выучено. Сейчас на КАЖДОМ КАЖДОМ шагу нужно смотреть рекламу. Для покупки слишком дорого, в неделю 799 рублей. Я понимаю всем сейчас нужны деньги, но приносить хоть немного пользы обществу тоже нужно. Сделайте либо дешевле подписку, либо не пихайте столько рекламы, а то пользоваться невозможно.
Needs improvement
I am learning Swedish and frankly for the amount you pay I would expect it to accept multiple answers. For example, it asked for the Swedish word for “coat” and I answered “rock”. This was marked incorrect because it was specifically looking for “täcka”. This is one of many examples I also had “bath robe” marked incorrect as it wanted “bathrobe”. I was marked wrong for writing “colour” instead of “color”! It would also be good if it added the definite from of words and which genders the words are (for gendered languages like French and Swedish). Great concept but needs improvement.

Seems like a good app but you can’t even try it out before they want you to buy a subscription. I feel like just charging to purchase the app would be better then wasting my time setting up a learning plan only to be hit with a pay wall I can not by pass to even try the app out before I want to commit.

В нидерландском языке слова нужно сразу с артиклем заучивать, в этом приложении слова без артиклей.
Японский - мимо
Попробовал использовать с японским языком. Озвучка слов явно не верифицировалась даже для самых основных тем, отчего для слов из одного кандзи могут путаться произношения on’yomi и kun’yomi. Как пример - 雨 (прочитывает как う). По логике, от путаницы произношений должны были пострадать и многие китайские слова, особенно односложные (если китайский язык есть, я не проверял). Ну и хотелось бы видеть или транскрипцию слов, или запись каной. И адаптировать задания под кандзи, чтобы не собирать слова из одного-единственного иероглифа) Но сама концепция приложения мне понравилась. Уверен, что если бы учил какой-то из европейских языков, все было бы в порядке.
Lots of issues
This app has a lot of errors with translations, which is unfortunate. Hopefully they will fix those. It also doesn’t let me sign in on my iPad, it wants me to buy a subscription, which I have, but because it forces you to choose a plan to buy, I can’t tell it I’ve already got an account because it has no sign in button.. so I can only use it on my cellphone. You also can’t try before you buy, I thought it has a trial and it didn’t so I bought a subscription, might ask for refund. I like it, it just has a lot of issues :( I also have to restore my purchase every time I load the app. Sigh.

This app has a variety of ways to learn words which is very good, but the English is set to American English and there is no Arabic vocab sets available. But it is great for learning popular languages!
There has to be a trial.
I would spend $50 a year to improve my Arabic. But I have no idea what I’m spending my money on. There aren’t a lot of good Arabic programs so I would never spend $50 without a trial to see if this is what I need. You’re losing so many customers because you don’t have a trial
Хорошее приложение, но дорого и запутано
Что касается изучения слов, то мне понравилось. Как-то удобно перелистывать карточки, учить слова, нравится процесс. Но что касается добавления слов в изучение, тут вообще все не удобно. Вместо к примеру стандартных 100 самых используемых слов, 1000 и т.д. мы видим наборы до 50. Почему по 50, а не больше? А что будет, когда они кончаться? Не может же быть только 50 популярных слов. А если ставишь более высокий уровень сложности, то там уже такие слова, которые вообще редко встречаются. Большой плюс, что можно полноценно пользоваться бесплатной версией с ограниченным функционалом. Бесплатная версия в целом хорошая. При этом цена подписки аж 5000 р. Только за английские слова среди стольких конкурентов по изучению языка. Дороговато. Это хорошее приложение, но с большими вопросами по интерфейсу и ценой, поэтому пришлось найти замену.

Hey there. I accidentally purchased one year subscription of this app. I wanted to purchase one month subscription. Can you please refund me my money. It is $57.48. I have cancelled the subscription and would really appreciate if my money is refunded since this is a very big amount for me. Please look into this matter and provide me the solutions.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I love this app! It was exactly what I was looking for in collecting vocabulary I learn from Spanish content that I’m reading daily to make sure I actually learn the words I always seem to be looking up! I would love to see an option to link accounts for example via Facebook so that I can collect words on both my devices and practice them together.

I’m learning French as I have a french friend (she can speak English but I would like to be able to speak to her in french too) I have an 136 day duolingo streak and let me tell half the words are completely wrong.

Ничего нет плохого в полностью платном приложении, но не надо в описании вводить пользователей в заблуждение, что якобы у них есть выбор между про версией и несуществующей бесплатной. Минус за такой ux.
Отталкивающая система энергии после повторения слов
Слишком странная система, которая только отталкивает. Я добавил множество слов, начал учить их постепенно. За день занимался несколько раз, и сначала восстановление энергии занимало 5 минут, в за весь день откат дошёл до 6 часов. Боюсь дальше пользоваться приложением, очень нравится дизайн, удобство и простота, но из-за такой системы энергии боюсь что через пару дней откат будет часов 30-40. На мой взгляд систему увеличения отката стоит убрать и оставить какое-то фиксированное время

Nice concept
Nice concept but just wrong. Machine translations of words that are completely incorrect even at the very start. Horrible machine voice speaking the words and they don’t sound anything like a real speaker. You’ll never be able to understand spoken language using a machine voice. No logical order to the training. Just random words. No context. Gives you conjugated verbs without any context. Basically, if you use this you’ll learn next to nothing and anything you do learn is likely to be wrong. This app is not the solution to your learning needs. There are better apps for learning vocabulary. Please do yourself a favour and don’t waste your time on this one. Go find something better. Your time is precious. Don’t waste it.

Цель постоянно обнуляется. Допустим, по травил 250 слов через 3 месяца, немного поучил - выучено 15, потом еще немного поучил - и внезапно в счетчике цели уже снова 0. Очень трудно понимать, идешь ли по цели, и виджет, соответсвенно, тоже становится бесполезен.

Приложение не понимает произношение коротких слов, особенно где много гласных, это расстраивает, а так ничего, но покупать я его не буду.

Pronunciation is AWFUL
The app uses text-to-speech for pronunciation, rather than native recordings. The problem is, the text-to-speech voice isn’t necessarily specialised to the language you are studying. For example, I set the language to Lithuanian and played the pronunciation examples to my Lithuanian fiancée - she couldn’t even understand what the computer-generated voice was trying to say! The pronunciation was COMPLETELY wrong, it sounded like an English speaker trying to read Lithuanian words without ever having even heard the language being spoken before. And the app creators want people to pay £10 A MONTH for this app?!
Хорошее приложение, но есть недочеты
Разработчики добавьте пожалуйста возможность отображение на экране ( во время тренировок слов ) несколько вариантов перевода слова/фразы. На английском одно слово может иметь множество значений, учить одно значение раздражает… а когда пишешь все переводы в одну строчку через запятую, невозможно пройти тренировку, где надо писать перевод на русском потому что невозможно написать слово в слово большое количество значений перевода… Типо : hold off - подождать, не спешить, откладывать, сдерживать натиск, не подпускать близко Вот как этот перевод написать слово в слово при тренировки?… тут выучить бы, а приходится еще тратить энергию чтобы написать слово в слово все …
В чем смысл ?
Почему невозможно попробовать приложение бесплатно? Сходу лезет окно с оплатой, которое нельзя пропустить. Но хочется же понять, понравится тебе приложение или нет. В противном случае это не имеет никакого смысла….(
Japonais Kanji
Tous les mots sont écrits en Kanji, il manque la lecture en hiragana avec les Kanji pour simplifier la compréhension des mots. Mise à part ça l’application et sympa pour apprendre de nouveaux mots et l’interfaces est jolie

Useful app but Overpriced
This is a good handy app. However it has been let down by the subscription price. Currently it is £49 per year or £10 a month, or a one off payment of £55 for “Lifetime” (until the developers decides not to update the app or the company goes bust). Imagine paying £55 and the next day the app is no longer available in Apple Store. This is a handy app, but not innovative. One can simply replicate the same function using the free Note app on iPhone/iPad plus Google translate. Yes it is more clunky, but the translations is just as bad as google translate. So why pay £55 for a convenience of combining google translate plus Note app.

Баг в приложении
На 3й день пользования удалились предыдущие изученные коллекции и добавленные вручную слова, осталось только два набора, прошу пофиксить баг и вернуть предыдущий результат
Nice idea, great interface
Wonderful design, looks nice, card sets is a great feature and everything runs smooth, however when learning words with multiple translations, your answer will be marked as incorrect if you don’t use the exact translation the app is looking for. I’m learning Spanish so let’s take ‘to the’ as an example - could be translated to ‘al’ or ‘a la’ but when testing ‘a la’ as a response, it marked me as wrong which gets frustrating in a language with so many words/phrases like this. ‘Was’ is another example here where it could be ‘fue’, or ‘era’ depending on context. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but if not, this issue needs re-thinking. If it was fixed I would buy and mark 5* as I feel the price is very reasonable. Overall good work but I can see that one issue being very confusing for many people across the board.

Teaching me a different language!
I am 100% sure I put that I want to learn Korean in the app. In fact I checked it multiple times. But it’s wasn’t teaching me it, it was showing a different language with a different way of writing and everything. Also the translation are nit quite right. I’m intermediate in korean so I checked the translator and most of the time it said something completely different. Luckily I was intermediate so I did just start learning and completely different language I didn’t even know the name of!

Can you add to the free version an option that separates two languages. I chose two but everything is on one interface and that’s super inconvenient.

Incorrect or missing translations
Just downloaded the app today and chose learn German based on English. Out of 5 random words 2 had issues: 1) “Soll” was incorrectly translated as “designed to” where it’s “should” 2) “der weisse” was translated as “Weisse” which should be “the white” So given a 40% incorrect translation rate I gave up on the app :/ pitty as design is nice
Multiple languages
Love the multimodal practice (especially helpful with developing basic reading in other writing systems!) and the option of practicing vocabulary for multiple languages. I am trying to refresh and expand languages I’ve picked up a bit of over the years, and a few I’d like to know a bit. Request: Welsh (Cymraeg), particularly North Walian as it is a common first language where I am settling in the next few years, and speaking South Walian would not be smiled upon for sociopolitical reasons.
No Swahili
I downloaded this app as it looked really useful. The blurb did not give the full list of languages and sadly the one I wanted to practise was not there. It would be useful to list all the languages in the blurb to save a wasted download. Swahili is one of the most widely spoken African language so I hope it will be added soon.

Very Bad
Not recommended at all, very bad pronunciation of the words in some of the languages. Nobody will understand what you are saying. You can compare pronunciation yourself of the same words in Google Translate and in this app
