I am keen user of numerous cafe apps: pretty horrified that they want my bank details !! So abandoned it.. Why don’t Costa, Subway, Esquires ask for that irrelevant info? Expected better from this brand

Login process not working
My local shop attendant advised for me to download the app as I’m a regular customer there! I have entered my number multiple times to receive the code via sms and no luck! Massive glitch :( can someone please look into this.
Nogenlunde app, men plads til forbedring
Ønsker at man ikke skal logge ind hver gang man åbner appen, men at den husker det fra gang til gan. Herudover ønskes der mulighed for at betale med point på bestillingssiden.

There are always issues with your app. Clearly never tested on older phones and today the QR code disappeared. Told I had to delete and download. Please take more care with your updates!!!

Welcome gift is a “catch” if not fraud
This app would have been fantastic if it had worked as designed. Tried to redeem the welcome Danish Custard which could only be redeemed “click & collect” which continued to fail as the prompt kept coming back to say that the selected shop had “No connection to the register “. Obviously the shop staff was pathetically unhelpful and my online enquiry seems to have been put into an inbox never to be opened.

So many bugs
Constantly bugging, re-downloaded to use my points and put my number in but it’s not sending me a pin. Tried to get it about 6 times. Last time I had it, for some reason it updated to the Danish version too 😑

I appen vises der masser af forskellige stykker morgenbrød/rundstykker, men kl 08.00 er de fleste spændende stykke “udsolgt for i dag” Det er godt nok for tidligt, eller måske har der slet ingen været af de forskellige.
No longer able to order via app
The idea behind the app is great. The design is awful. It has so many bugs it should be placed in a terrarium. Recently I am unable to order anything via the app (nor redeem my rewards) as the calendar option does not work meaning I cannot choose a day of pick up. The calendar appears but does not allow me to pick any date. It’s been like that for at least a couple of app updates. That’s just one of the many many issues. Previously at least you could contact customer service but now even that option seems to be gone. Also many promotions for app users don’t work. Customer service doesn’t respond when you attempt to contact them.

This app has so many bugs, it’s actually very frustrating to use. You spend a tonne of money collecting the points, only for the app to do everything it can to make sure you can’t redeem them. Half the items aren’t available when you select the option to use your points from the Home Screen. If you are willing to spend time trying to find another route to redeem them, it seems like you’re making progress then you get charged for the order anyway. The points system works, but *only* if you order in store. This is not acceptable in my opinion, as there are many customers that exclusively order online (hence why they download the app). I’ve heard many customer complain. I just hope that feedback is actioned soon.

Not the most inactive app ever
This app is great for ordering things for picking up. But I’ve lost count the number of times I had to have the person behind the counter to help me redeem rewards and offers. Most other apps from coffee shops and bakeries tend to be intuitive or they come up with the offers to the shop clerk when you scan your app. But with the O&S app; you scan it and half the times you don’t get the points for the order, you have to show and tell them what offers you want to use and then they have to manually enter the offer. What should be a simple case of either tapping/selecting an offer and then scanning it to redeem it ends up being a frustrating experience of misunderstandings and sometimes losing out on points because you didn’t scan the code in the right sequence of actions. If other bakeries and coffee shops have got this down to a tee, why can’t O&S?

For various life reasons I hadn’t visited for a while and having accumulated a few thousand points I was shocked/horrified to find they had expired. Shocking for a loyalty scheme. Quite literally the opposite to creating loyalty. Turns out I now have no incentive to return. Costa it is then!

Defaults to USA even though I’m in the UK
I’ve been trying to use this app in the UK, which is where I’m based, but it seems to always default to the USA. There doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust the country to your local region.
Good quality Coffee & food
Really good food and coffee selection, excellent service and a very useful app, where if you check in and get rewards, it automatically uploads your receipt with a vat number for your expenses.
Truly terrible app
Almost every time I try to check in there’s a problem! Time and time again it fails and I have to redo something or other! Get your act together!
I am experiencing an issue with my Lagkagehuset app.
I live in Denmark and originally downloaded and used the app here without any problems. However, about a year ago, after an app update, it suddenly switched to the UK version. Since then, I have been unable to use the Danish app properly or access the offers and benefits available in Denmark. I have already tried deleting the app and reinstalling it several times, but the problem remains the same. Could you please look into this issue.
Non-existent rewards
Quite often get notifications that I have a new reward waiting in the app, great, which is visible in the section but when I start an order it disappears and isn’t usable. More frustrating than not receiving a reward in the first place.
No longer works
Latest update no longer allows me to scan in store. Apparently you have to contact customer services, but maybe just fix the app instead?

Requires you to input your Debit Card
I am an Apple Pay person. I don’t give away my card just like that. I don’t see any guarantee Ole & steen have the correct infrastructure to encrypt credit card information up to the correct standard, nor there is any mention of the 3rd party who stores it. Without this info, my conclusion is they probably have an engineer in their early career dumping my debit card info into a mysql instance in plain text. My suggestion for customers is do not input your debit card until they communicate their security standards for its storage. My advice for the developers is don’t use debit cards as the customer identifier. Use the email or a username as everyone else, stop making it a requirement, and default to ApplePay in iOS
Great with one major flaw
The app is really user friendly but and has a great renewed system but you have to manually set the region you’re in to use its full features in each country. Surely this can be improved / automated by using location services?

Orders do not go through as app constantly gives “communication error”. It’s shocking this company cannot even get the basics right.
Great app, Needs Apple Wallet
Please add option to add the IN-STORE CHECK-IN QR Code to Apple Wallet. The app struggles if you’re somewhere that hasn’t got a great signal so having this option means that the QR Code is available even if you’re offline.
Camera functionality doesn’t work
I can no longer scan at the store, which means I don’t get points. The camera doesn’t come up any more and the camera permissions are missing from the settings so I can’t turn it on.
Issues with payment methods.
Really wanted to like this app as much as I like the bakery and their products but can’t even use it to pay in store. It’s stuck at activating the credit card. It needs to validate by entering the CCV but always comes back as a page not found error. Hopefully it can be fixed soon but the issues has been happening for months.

The app has stoped recording the points from purchases, so you don’t actually get anything for your loyalty

At man ikke kan vælge mobilepay - ok - det er ikke helt optimalt. Men at app ikke er i stand til automatisk at Mitid appen er noget rod. Pludselig virker appen som et website. Det bør være bedre i en forholdsvis ny app.

Faulty app
Staff recommended I download the app to collect points and rewards. I tried to order a loaf of bread and a danish pastry. The app either freezes, restarts or it says that it cannot connect to the till. Pretty poor app for a great brand like Ole & Steen.
Can’t pre-order
The swipe to pay bar overlaps with the add a card option on the screen, so it won’t let me check out on the app.
