My wife is the primary, she gave me access to but now PalGate won’t let me open gate thru CarPlay. Instead they have created a more dangerous situation because I have to reach and use my phone instead of vehicle console. Bad idea.
Apple Watch app?
Could be super useful when phone is left home :(
They’ve worked out the kinks!
I was nervous about this with some of the bad reviews, but it looks like the majority of them were from over a year ago. We’ve been using this for the last 9 months with no issues. We love that we can open the gate from our unit without having to go to a window or physically out to the gate. It’s awesome!

Works extremely fast in iPhone App rather than CarPlay App
I find the app works instantly, every time, without flaw in my iPhone App. In CarPlay it works but rarely on the first attempt. I find that I have to go into the app in CarPlay and try it - if nothing happens I come out and go into the app again….and again ….. it usually then works in CarPlay on the third attempt.
No Apple Watch app
This would be better if there was a watch app so I could open my gate if I go on a walk with my watch but not my phone
No luck for iOS users
App finally supports iOS devices, but doesn’t work properly. I’m forced to re-register each time I reopen the app.

Very easy to use. Made adding an app to my gate possible without my motor having to be upgraded.
Version 2.1.42 ruined the additional users
Hello, ever since the app got updated to the latests version it keeps asking my other 2 additional devices that I previously had linked to “Verify your a person” and to add the phone number as soon as you close the app. Previous before this version my other 2 devices that I linked never had an issue with that. Why was this change implemented? Can this be fixed urgently? Thanks!

Could this be coded to use on multiple devices? My phone often dies and I bring an extra phone with me. Yes this app could use better development.
Works well for what it is.
Works well and opens the gates at my workplace quickly and efficiently. Not convinced a phone app is a good solution though - it's a nightmare to use if you're on a motorcycle with your phone out of sight, and i often stress about my phone running out of battery and being locked in after a long day at work.

works as described. Car Play is awesome addition. I also managed a siri shortcut “open gate”.
Barely Works
This app is extremely frustrating. After getting off work late, I try to use it to access the apartment complex gate, but it just gives me an error. I end up having to wait a long time for someone to exit the complex so I can finally get in. This really needs to be fixed.
Apple watch version
I recommend doing supporting version for Apple Watch, it will save a lot of trouble to those who don’t want to use Siri shortcut.
Good concept but when app fails. Locked out
Our apartment only has this to work the gate, so when the app fails, we are locked out for hours, UNLESS we have somebody on the inside to drive by the sensor and open it. I feel like this is the only way in which leads to problems.
Aveces funciona
Aveces funciona y aveces no. Hay que esperar que el app le de la gana de funcionar por lo que aveces hay que desde adentro abran con los sensores de salida.
CarPlay
The app is great and would be even better if it could work with CarPlay. I just set it up as a Siri shortcut which is also great.
Bad App - Constant Issues
Ever since my apartment switched to this, it becomes a hassle to get the gate open. The 3 blue dots appear and nothing happens. I have issues every week with it. I have a new phone and it’s updated. I’m writing this in front of my gate which will not open. I restart the app and same thing. This is ridiculous.

Please add the ability to have more than 3 devices connected. It doesn’t make sense that not everyone in a family can access.

Gate Opener
This would be a great app if it did two things. One, be able to close my gate with the app and not just open it. And two, it doesn’t show if the gate is open or closed. Hopefully they will figure this out since I paid a lot of money to have installed.
Apple Watch support
I emailed PalGate about Apple Watch support and they said it’s here, but I don’t see the app saying this app has the availability to be on the watch, please work on this!

The app fails regularly...
Oftentimes it won't open my apartment gates or the gym, there's no widget, and no Apple Watch companion app. This app is bare minimum and and poorly optimized. It's crazy that they're partnered with so many apartment complexes.
CarPlay support
I echo the sentiment of others, it would be awesome to have access to this app on CarPlay. It’s very distracting to have to pull your phone to open the gate while, yeah, driving, pulling in the driveway, etc.
