What people like
- Essential tool for electricians on job sites
- Helpful videos for conduit bending techniques
- Great for learning formulas and basics
- Much easier to carry than a book
What they complain about
- Search function barely works at all
- Videos often fail to load properly
- Navigation is confusing and difficult to use
- Important tables disappeared after recent updates
Great product
Really makes electric work so much easier
VERY Hard to navigate
Among a few other minor problems is its very hard to navigate. If your searching for something specific you need to type in the exact wording. If you type in “ampacity” or “wire ampacity” it does not give you the 310.15 charts. To find that you need to type in “ampacities of insulated conductors”. Not efficient and a little frustrating. Like I said earlier, it’s small problems, but it’s a lot of small problems.
Consulta
Acabo de intentar consultar la ampacidad de los cables como regularmente lo hacía y no aparece
Bring back the tables
I am not a fan of this enter the temperature and then the gauge to find the amps. Where do you find the resistance per foot of a copper 12 gauge wire now. Plus you only have the Aa way to magnify. Allow me to pinch my fingers and open them up. Not a fan of the app anymore.
3 stars
NO BOX FILL CALCULATOR!!!!!!
Great, one suggestion.
I like this a lot. Use it often. I have a hard time sometimes seeing the smaller pages that come up (yes I wear glasses) but still think it would be beneficial to make the pages zoomable? Thank you!
Needs to be reformatted or something
I tried to look up “different wire sizes or types insulation” and all the letters and words on the pages are jumbled together making it unreadable. So therefore making this app pretty useless for me
Great E-Handbook with some app flaws.
It’s an amazing app with a lot of handful calculations and tips that not everyone can remember. But guys enable zoom in the pages, the tables are small and can’t see!!!
Gone down hill
App used to be great, recently I noticed all of my bookmarks are gone and the search feature doesn’t bring up anything it used to. I can not find ampacity tables or conduit fill calculator along with most other things I used this app for. Hopefully it gets fixed soon it was a great tool to have on the go.
Very useful and convenient companion, but still needs a few improvements.
Mainly the search function is not working at all. Other than the content of the app is great as it matches the pocketbook.
Awesome app
Great app I use it every day at work as an estimator but what happened to the ampacity tables under conductor properties. Why isn’t this in the app anymore?
Update pulled features 🤯
The app used to be good, then they pulled features we all used. Where did table 310.16 go?????
Videos work… now…
Thank you so much for fixing the video bug! There’s just still the bug where the page seems to refresh all the time, now when I watch videos it’ll cut off the video and I’ll have to re-select the video many times before I can even watch it half way through, then it may refresh again. I want this app to be so great, so thank you for listening and fixing the video issue!
Hard to navigate
I’m sure this app has a ton of information just like the book - but the navigation is absurdly difficult to get to anything and it takes longer than going and finding a paper copy or code book to reference! Worst app for usability I have ever used
Idiomas
El español de los idiomas más importantes en esta era y esta aplicación carece de ello favor y modernizarse a estos tiempos el inglés ya pasó a una opción.
Better than a manual, safer than guessing.
This app is a must-have for anyone working with electricity. The NEC tables are clear, and the how-to videos for things like offset bending are a nice touch that the book obviously can’t provide. It’s organized, intuitive, and much harder to lose than a physical booklet.
Newest update
This app was great till their last update now 90% of what I used it for is missing and no way to access it anymore
Video examples
The videos for the conduit bending examples don’t load. The sound comes through but no video. iPhone 17 if that helps
App is fine
Wouldn’t stop asking for reviews when I was trying to quickly look stuff up. Never left a review For an app before but they pestered me to this point.
Ability to magnify
It would be nice to be able to magnify any page if needed. The charts are tough to read sometimes
It’s gud
Very gud
this app is basically unusable
this app has so much potential but the search function is garbage and it takes to long to find the basic tables and information that i will just walk to my truck to get my ugly book. when i eventually do find what i am looking for and bookmark it for later it gets deleted when the app updates. it would be nice to just have a pdf copy of the ugly book to accompany this app so it would actually be usable.
Great app
Great way to use the ugly book
Can’t see the videos
The reference text is nice. When I play the videos, I only get audio. Not much use.
Helpful
I've found this super helpful in the field when I need a reference.
Was good until they “updated” it
This app was just fine until they did an update. Could fine whatever I needed quick. Now it takes me for ever to navigate through the app trying to find what information I need. It has a search bar but it’s useless. Unless you type exactly how they have it worded in the program you’ll never find it. You’re better off searching the web. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Like it
Apps ok but it made me click the like it button otherwise it gives me a Pop up window every time I try to use it.even after I clicked like it I still get the pop up window most of the time. Not fun when you’re trying to work.
Uglys
Great App. I love it. Comes in handy when the book isn’t around
Don’t update
Update made it totally unuseable if you click on item it shows for a second and throws you out and no info is available for anything else made my purchase useless
Good
Well to be Honest I just wanted to clarify that the videos of how to bend pipe at least it doesn’t shown the video is all dark and can’t hear audio need it pls fix
Great for service Techs
Solid app
Update killed the app
I have had this app for a couple of years now, possibly longer, and used it at least 2-3 times per week. I opened it up today and now the wire ampacity chart interfaces is just GONE. They evidently updated the app sometime last week and now the whole reason I bought it no longer exists. Please Fix this issue immediately or refund me my money since you broke the tool that I use. Also get a support line or respond to the emails.
Good Start
If you re just starting out in the in the Electrical circuit this is the book for you! It explains, break down formulas, even has an ohms law calculator you can’t go wrong!
Search
Search does not work
Great app
It’s a great app to have on the job site. A must have for a journeyman (or journeywoman)
Bruh
This app is horrible. Why cant you search key terms? Why cant I find the allowable ampacity table? Wtf
