Works exactly as it should
Works almost exactly like the binding of Isaac one with one very short skippable add every time you open the app or come back to it but very it’s just that. Just wish they could make it look a little cleaner and not feel like exactly like the wiki with less info. Also missing a few entries (or at least I couldn’t find any) for things like gun munchers and such
Long frequent ads takes up so much time
The app itself is great! The interface is snappy and organized, and is designed very well to help you get back into the game very quickly. On paper, this app would be the perfect companion to anyone playing this game. A must-have even! In practice, if you don’t pay the $2 for the ad-free version, you have to sit through these unskippable minute-long ads, and longer if you have trouble tapping the tiny 20-pixel-wide x button to get out of it. I usually don’t mind ads and tried to use this app during two long playthroughs, but the ads are so frequent that it took up so much of my time away from playing this game. At this point, I just went back to switching to my browser and looking up the items/weapons on the internet myself, because it ended up being much faster than having to deal with the disruption of the ads. I’d understand this app’s tracking metrics, but I’d rather not pay $2 for all the tracking it does. This would have been a minor thing to worry about (we already give up our privacy for a lot of things) but the ads just kinds of amplifies the issue for me. Like, you’re not just getting ad revenue from the ads and giving me the option to upgrade to a faster experience. You’re making the ads so frequent and long so that it MAKES me pay because otherwise I’d have to look elsewhere, and I’d be paying to use an app that will still track me anyway. I don’t think $2 is enough of a bargain to justify the lack of agency. It’s a 5 star app, but one star gets dinged for the amount of ad time it took away from my playthroughs which defeats the purpose of this app, another star for the expectation that I’ll pay $2 to fix this problem when the problem was added by the dev so forcibly, and one more star for the tracking metrics that aren’t worth the problems. I think this app is worth the two stars because it has potential. It just has an added broken feature the dev expects you to put in your own resources to fix, which defeats the purpose of the app for me.

Got used to closing app and reopening it cause ads are so long. Useful outside that though I wish they had shrine info

Intrusive Pornographic Ads
At first the app was decent but now every time I open it Im getting super intrusive ads that block half or the entire screen - and some of them are borderline pornographic, like would be porn if they weren’t cropped at a certain point. Honestly just use the wiki, most of the info is copied from it anyways.
Amazing for Gungeoners that just got the game
Got ETG on PS5 after my switch playthrough several years earlier so I had to start over and since this had custom descriptions instead of vague lore, helps a ton during the first couple of rainbow runs. Overall amazing app great details and design just wish the search was better because I gotta type the exact thing and if I don’t know it it’s annoying

Glorified Fandom Wiki App
It seems like most, if not all, entries are directly lifted from the Fandom wiki, which is fine, but some of them read weird when the original text uses symbols that weren't copied over. Trank Gun is missing stats, so maybe other guns/items are too. Also some guns/items have the wrong rarity listened (I can't remember any specific examples, but that's something I've noticed while using this app over the course of forever). Another useful feature to include would be the addition of DPS for the guns, seeing how the Fandom wiki has that. Compared to the Isaac guide, I would love to see the same amount of effort put into this one.

excessive ads
i dont have a problem with ads, usually. i do have a problem when they pop up immediately every time i opened the app and are extremely intrusive. if there were just banner ads, i’d be fine. i probably wouldve bought the ad free version, but not like this.

Ok. i like this guide alot. but like its just kinda annoying seeing the ads cover up like 2/3ds of the screen. yes im aware i can press something and make it smaller or disapear. but its just like an extra pain and hassle…
Too Many Ads!
I love the organization and the options! It’s very similar to the Binding of Issac app, but sadly it doesn’t have the collection buttons at the bottom of the item description. I hope they include it soon! Aside from that, the amount of ads and how long they are is just too much, and it gets irritating.

I would like to see an achievement check mark for guns that have been unlocked as well as items that have been unlocked. Same way that you can check items and trinkets in “the binding of Isaac” Guide. Please look into doing this. It would make the guide so much easier for me

The guide is good except the is a few sentences the are cut of at the end or don’t make sense. I believe and have checked that the whole of the guide is copy and pasted from the Gungeon wiki on fandom. But as it is copy and pasted from a good source the wiki is pretty good.

Useful as heck
Honestly, this was so useful because the game itself doesn’t give all the details for any of the items or guns or passive items or active items but this right here makes it so much easier and it’s organized very well. and honestly, it’s worth the dollar for no adds because personally I get annoyed with that.

I wish it had tips from pros on which items are good other than the ratings (D,C,B,A,S). Also I wish it had a guide on how to get all the items for a past-kill. Apart from that it's great.
