Even the shop owners hate this service!
There's nothing intuitive or simple to learn when trying to use this service when patronizing a shop that validates parking. You’re asked to input the validation code when checking in. At the shop I was given 2 separate codes and neither were accepted. They HATE this service and it's easy to understand why. Reston needs to get its act together or ho back to free parking.
Seriously poor app
This is the kind of app that every iOS user dreads without necessarily knowing why. It feels like a glorified web app or hybrid Android/iOS app that just gives the middle finger to iOS conventions. Rounded buttons? Nonstandard sizes and colors? No FaceID or at least passkeys? Apple Pay? This kind of app should be trivial to write the right way. I’m sure that the parking garage owners paid way too much to develop and/or license this software, and they pass the cost of their poor financial decisions onto those of us who are forced to shop in the soulless hellscape of Reston Town Center.
Awful fee structure
Fee structure seems predatory and unfair to someone who just wants to be here one time. 20 min charge should simply not be allowed for soemthing like parking. They are basically stealing peoples money.

I am one who dreads conducting business via apps, but this app is easy and doesn’t boggle my mind to use.

Very Good App ; Bad Fee Structure
I really like how easy this app works. But the fee structure is not friendly. This app forces you to pay for a minimum of one hour at $3. What if you only need 30 mins? 15 mins? You guessed it, $3. I realized this recently when I dropped my phone off at the Apple store. Had an appointment so it took 10 mins. I had to pay $3 for 10 mins. Why not charge in 15 min increments? Also, unlike physical parking meters, when I left after 10 mins, the next person did not get to use the balance of time I left - 50 mins. Someone on the back end of this app is pocketing a lot of coin at our expense by using this fee structure! I’m all for reasonable profits, but this is egregious and gratuitous!

Obnoxious prompt to give 5 star rating
App asks you to rate it with only options being “5 stars” or no thank you. The app itself is mediocre, but obnoxious behavior from developers makes me hate it.

Worst parking app ever
This app is complete waste and the website is worse. Would never park here. I rather take the bus or support any situation that doesn’t involve rtc park.
Bad design, not user friendly
Add apple pay. Allow auto-fill when updating credit card info. Consider allowing sign-in with apple. Stop making things more difficult for users.
Flawless
Easy to use app, sign in, add car info, pay and your done. Even gives you a timer with notifications on how much time you have left!
RTC is Awful
What a horrible app for a terrible place. God awful UI, awful functionality, and awful location. Seriously, the parking fees make me dislike Reston Town Center even more than I already did.
Simple and Reliable
I set up my account, added my vehicle and made a pin. All I need to do is log in with my pin. If the place I’m visiting validates parking I ask when I walk in before I pay. If not I can pay from wherever I am as long as I remember the zone.
I unfortunately can’t give 0 stars
You literally can’t select a meter time longer than an hr, so you have to remember hourly to repay for the spot. VERY inconvenient,

Unusable
Tried about 10 times telling ParkRTC to call or text the code to my cell phone. App kept saying number is invalid, but I use it every day. No contact info for help with the app.

Imagine having to park for a place that for the last 10 years you didn’t have to pay to park and this is the reason why this area in Reston town center as a hole has lost so many good businesses because someone has to force you to pay just to park a car

It charges you even when you don’t have to pay for parking (like after 5 pm).
Illegal Business Practice?
The app started charging my time before I even clicked submit. When the payment went through I had already lost five minutes because I was filling out credit card info. Is that even legal? I didn’t even get the full hour I paid for.
