Moultrie Game camera review
I ran my camera September 2025 thru December of 2025 to pattern deer & check for varmints @ home after season. The unit works exceptionally well, picking up even squirrel movement. Just set it today (8/30/26) to begin the patterning process for this year. Excellent equipment.
Predatory location data
The app constantly harasses you every time you open it for access to your location. I just want to see my pics, you don’t need my location to track and resell! Hunters don’t want deep state tracking, we just want our pics
Moultrie Review
Great app, just a little to much false images.
SLOW
When I’m notified of new images from the cam and open the app- it is painfully slow. I mean won’t open at all, just stuck on their logo for 5-10 minutes(feels like an hour. lol)
Horrible since update
Updated a few days ago and now app slow to load if at all, photos not updating. Request function taking hours to work.
Moultrie edge 2
Camera takes excellent pictures and videos. Love to have the ability to not going into hunting area. But yet still track movements. I think Moultrie should sponsor me.
Terrible when you need it!
Works fine until about a month before season. During season it’s awful!! The last two years of the four we’ve had the cameras they have failed multiple times during season. You know the time when you need them most….
Remote camera use
Camera works great. Great to see images as fast as we do in the big Timber.
Pics/vids ok, app poor
I’ve found the pics and videos to be ok, response time seems good. Quality can be grainy at times. The app is AWFUL though. Good luck activating a device or trying to reactivate a plan in between seasons.The app frequently doesn’t work to access pictures or videos either.

App Not working
App has had issues past few months loading pictures and continually quicks you out the app while trying to load the pictures. Reply becoming an issue when you spend several hundred dollars on Moultrie cameras and pay a monthly service for it to not work 1/2 the time
First cell cams…
Love em!! Just the edge 2’s but they work great. Moultrie hook your boy up with a solar edge 3? I’m 2 hours away so the app makes it super easy. 8.9 out of 10.
Mixed results
The cameras take nice photos and videos. Trigger speed seems a bit slow. Also, if you have less than perfect cell service, they will eat batteries unbelievably fast. As for the app itself, it works well for the most part, but I have had it freeze up and stop working 3 times now. It will work again after deleting it and reinstalling, but it’s a pain to have to do that.

Cam is great, colorization SUCKS
For the love, please allow a toggle to remove ALL the "beta" colorization. It's awful. Black and white is so much better.
Solid app
I love the ease of use and simplicity of the app. But if only they could fix small bug like pictures not loading up when opening the app so I have to pull down to refresh them to get them to pop up.

Lorem ipsum Lorem ipsum … if you want to know what it means , download it . You will have to guess many things whit this app. I wish they fix this bug because it’s not funny to guess everything
Versatility
Dependable, pretty easy to navigate. Able to stop subscription any time. Good pricing and worth the money.
The cameras are great but the app is insufferable.
Things you can expect from this app. Constant crashing. Slow loading. Unintuitive video player. The absolute worse part of the app has to be the video player.
Edge 2
Cameras are great, super clear and easy to setup. The only issue is the monthly subscription for each camera. Other than that great stuff.

Constantly freezes, glitches, and crashes.
Best trail cam I’ve ever used!
Moultrie has been the best trail cam I have ever used and we have tried a few and they were all awful. I really recommend Moultrie. I’ve got so many big books this year on my trail camera and they’re great quality pictures.
Don’t buy
You have to routinely delete the app and re download it for it to work halfway right. The prices for additional cameras are absolutely outrageous. The cameras themselves will notify you that pictures are being taken but not upload to the app. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO WITH ANOTHER BRAND.

Everyday is like Christmas.
Every time opening the app is like getting a wrapped gift. This trail camera brings me a lot of joy. It’s also a great conversation tool for friends and family.
Customer Service
Can’t connect to a camera. Called customer support. They call back but call goes to VM. Impossible to reach a real person. Phone call blocking is off. Unsure of what you cannot get a hold of a real person. I’m calling my credit card company to report this and ending my one day service.
Best Cell Camera Company
One of the best companies around for Cell cameras. With they didn’t charge per camera but still worth it! Check them out and enjoy! The sky is the limit!!!
