The worst of a great game.
This game would be fun, but it is the very worst game for ads that you will ever find. Choked to death with ads. Won’t even let you play one puzzle to start without an ad first, ridiculous.
Great game
Great game. Lots of fun and some learning along the way. Have been playing for many years. Lately any unfinished games in the archive are not being saved.
Good game, terrible ads
I really enjoy this game and it’s helped me expand my French vocabulary. However I had to delete it because the ads were too much. I understand the need to support your service but they are very long, misleading and hard to exit. I am a tech savvy person and I sometimes found it difficult to exit the ad without opening the App Store. I know an 80 year old woman who uses this app daily and I think it would be very easy for her to buy something she doesn’t want because of the way these ridiculous ads work. In this context it’s exploitative. So yeah I won’t use it anymore because of this. There should be some oversight for the ads you allow to protect your older userbase.

This game totally sucks now
Your 2 minute ads suck. And at the end it goes to black and you don’t get your rewards. You do contests to try and get people to be in your game all day. But then the extra long ads just kill the game. People have lives. They can’t sit and put up with this treatment all day. People want a little relaxation time in their day. Guess what. It’s not fun any more. In your greed you just screwed the pooch! I understand you need ads to be able to update the app. 30 second ads do that too. But then the long ads have killed the game for me. You put up with the 2 minute ads, and get nothing. You have to get out of the game and go back in, only to get another flipping ad! Goodbye!
App Not Loading
It’s not loading when I open the app. I know I shouldn’t trip too much about it, but I’m on the verge of losing my 700+ Day streak because the app won’t load.
Scam ads
Used to watching scam ads but just had one using a child to sell weight loss patches that’s beyond irresponsible
Spoilt by long ads
Love the game, hate the long ads, some of which are almost impossible to get rid of thereby spoiling what is a relaxing and sometimes challenging game. I accept the ads are a necessity but do they have to be so long?

I’ve been playing Cody Cross for years and still enjoy the game, BUT the amount of ads is getting ridiculous, and I’m not paying to have them removed. It wouldn’t be so bad if they were about 10 seconds long, but they are regular length ads of 30 seconds plus. I would have given 5 stars, but the ads dropped that score.

Enjoy the game but it takes so long for ads to go. It’s tiresome.

I mostly enjoy the game but the amount of ads is becoming ridiculous. Also, the ads are for things I would never purchase so they are pointless. I’m not a fan of the seasonal collection. Uses up too many “points” on a category that is difficult to get through due to the number of pages needed. Let us opt out of having the seasonal collection or just get rid of it completely.
Been playing for years!
Very frustrated with the ads! I have spent at least 20 minutes trying to get rid of Vita Majong this morning. I even restarted my computer. Most ads stop after a couple of clicks. But lately the ads are longer and much harder to get rid of. Any of those I would never try or buy.
Not working
Game stopped working all of a sudden. I rebooted my phone. I reinstalled the app. Still nothing.

I’m stopping my subscription
Only one new game per lmonth. I have used all the tokens to play the side games and to purchase more is expensive. You have to use tokens to play everything but the one monthly updated game. I already pay a pretty hefty monthly fee and don’t feel it’s worth it. I’m most likely going to cancel my subscription. I don’t know why this is advertised as free - it most definitely is not! It’s very ad heavy with the paid subscription.

Has got to be the same makers of “Word Hike”because why can’t I finish a puzzle without an ad?? Then to pay monthly for ad free like it’s a subscription?? The game isn’t free anymore at that point. I grew up on word search and cross word puzzles in a book. I guess I’ll go buy a book because technology has gone insane. Deleting this..

This was a fun game that was challenging, but the ad for the stupid game where the mother is in dire straits with her baby requires that a play along forever and won’t let me “x” out. Unacceptable.
Almost perfect
The ads have increased and that makes me have to reduce by one star. There’s an ad after every puzzle now. I liked it better when this wasn’t the case. I’ve had this game on my phone longer than any other and I truly enjoy playing it. I just hope it doesn’t become so overrun with ads that I can’t enjoy it anymore because it really is a fun time passer.

An ad for “Search it-Hidden Objects” crashes the app every time. Also, today, App Store ads are acausing problems. What’s the deal? Surely I’m not the only one.

New Policy Is Not Good!
Popup came up saying to review & accept new policies. Privacy policy includes giving them permission to have things I don’t want them to have - LIKE MY IP ADDRESS! That’s a big NO! I’m sad because it’s fun to play, but the new policy has me NOPING OUT! Deleted the app.
Bring back books!
I’ve played this games daily for years and generally enjoy the game and the various puzzle styles. I’ve wanted to go add free but it costs much more than other games I’ve payed for. I also miss getting books at the end of quests. Just getting some pages for a collection that have nothing to do with the theme of the quest makes them pointless to do.
The mini game sucks
The minigame don’t allow you close it out after they give the free play. Very frustrating, I played Township and it doesn’t allow you to close it.
Password archive??
Love this game but it would be perfect if we had access to Password archive puzzles. If it is available in the extra purchases I can’t find it. It’s the best wordle-type puzzle available as one can enter letters out of order while considering the solution. But there is only one per day. Please give access to archives.

The game is great. It is challenging, entertaining & enjoyable. But.. way too many ads. I understand the need for ads, but there are so many , it makes me want to uninstall the game.

Cannot play game because of ads
I used to enjoy playing Cody Cross but I am deleting because you get constant pop up ads that do not allow you to exit out and go back to the game even after waiting for several minutes.

New comment: I understand the ads sustain and increase your profits, but every one needs a quick out for two reasons: one, many of the apps we may already have which makes watching them both tedious and annoying. Two, we may be totally uninterested in the product which interferes with moving ahead with your game. My wife and I compete against each other on the regular game; I am eighty and she is in her seventies. We are giving up a year of our lives to endure the ads which have clearly increased in number. Older comment: My comment of three years ago about the ads still holds true but, as one might expect, they are longer (on average), and often take three or more steps to exit and paying for no ads is not worth it. The twenty sets of regular games vary in both quality and ease. That said, some have the most bizarre, unheard-of “facts” imaginable. There is likely no one living on earth that has heard of some of them and that includes the set developer who has likely forgotten some of the most strange ones by now. The upside is that the games do, at times, make one think. I doubt that it could be clinically proven that they are good for one’s brain, but they fill idle time. I add that I coached a high school academic team for over thirty years, and Cody Cross is not going to match the intellectual “trivia” one might expect to encounter.
Too many long adverts
Have been playing this for quite a number of years now, but recently the adverts are becoming really annoying in the fact that you get a really long one before you even commence the game itself. It’s beyond a joke now, you need to sort this out. Please!

Slow update
Game use to be fun. Now it takes 5-6 minutes to load. After a few weeks of slow uploads, it’s finally back to normal.

I’m absolutely hating the new library in this game. Totally pointless, very unfriendly and why have you even bothered? It’s difficult to follow and these no need for it. People come to this game to play the puzzles, not get pages for a book. Seriously, it’s a really stupid ‘update’ to what was something pretty pointless in the first place.

Why the shields when I play daily
I enjoy CodyCross and have played it since 2018 but I don’t understand why every few weeks I have shields activated…I play at some time everyday…and rarely miss a day…yet the shields (usually 2) are applied . I can’t see the logic of it. Oh and by the way where do I find out how many shields I have in stock. It’s not a big deal but I’m curious

I used to play this game a lot years ago and I don’t remember the ads being this bad. Ad before a puzzle. Ad after a puzzle. I wouldn’t mind paying to get rid of them but prices are ridiculously high for a mobile game. Very fun otherwise
