Interesting take on a simplified chess game. Would be good if the AI were not so poorly programmed. So easy to beat it's really only good as a trainer for young kids.
Good game… But there’s a lot of problems.
This game is SUPER fun. I like how it’s generally very fast. Perfect for when you want chess, and you want to cut to the action immediately. However, the fact that there’s only Pawns, Rooks, and Queens really makes the game feel “incomplete” and “stale” after a while. While it is fun, it gets repetitive quickly. Plus, while the game generally goes by fast, I often avoid putting the AI in check, since the “check” banner fully stops the game to play a really slow animation. I think it’d be better if they and you could still move during the check notification. In addition, some of the achievements are completely unrealistic, like playing 1,000,000 matches. Assuming every match takes 30 seconds (which is a generous pace), you’d have to play for almost a full YEAR to complete the achievement. And that’s assuming you play the game 24/7 with NO breaks, and a consistent average pace of one game every 30 seconds. The later “play x matches” achievements are COMPLETELY unrealistic. I know I’ve been a bit harsh here, but that’s because I genuinely see potential in this game! It’s a super fun concept! If the achievements were made more, well… achievable, and if there was a mode to randomize the starting position with different pieces, this would be a perfect game. But as of now, it gets old pretty quickly.

Gioco carino degli scacchi anche se non ha il gusto di avere tutti i pezzi del gioco degli scacchi..ma sarebbe ancora meglio se rispettasse le regole..il gioco sbaglia dando scacco matto quando invece non lo è..da sistemare
Ganz nett ...
... für so zwischendurch. Stärkste Spielstufe ist allerdings tatsächlich recht schwach, Patt wird als Matt gewertet und es ist trotz anderweitiger Behauptung kein Remis möglich, wenn keine Chance für beide Seiten mehr besteht. Dann spielt die App einfach endlos weiter. Onlinegegner habe ich auch noch nie gefunden. Aber ist sonst - wie gesagt - ein witziger Zeitvertreib für zwischendurch.

This game is so fun, it is nice to have three levels of difficulty. I wish you could randomly have white or black or make it alternate, but it isn’t a big deal to manually change it.

Enjoyable bite sized chess game
It’s fun enough to play a couple games in 10-15 minutes to get your mind working in the mourning. Don’t have to be a chess master to enjoy this version and does not take ad long as a traditional chess game.

I've played several games and it declares that I'm in checkmate when in fact there are still viable moves which can take place

No landscape mode
Interesting game and well executed. However I normally use the iPad in landscape mode and this app only works in portrait mode which is a bit annoying. But it’s not a problem on the iPhone. I would like to be able to play this mini chess with different piece combinations - maybe 2 rooks and 2 bishops instead of 4 rooks.

I used to love this game and played all the time. But it started video ads on top of the banner ads. I refuse to play video ad apps. Congratulations you lost a user. I’m considering dropping all of your apps.
Bit if fun
Getting frustrated with the ads since the update. They go on far too long and I tend to put the game down. Also, I wish that after doing the same move 3 times a draw should be offered. But it’s a different take on chess. Simple game and quick games pass the time easily.

Good, can be better
A good alternative to standard chess. Not 5 stars because: 1. Allows stalemate, which is neither a win or a tie 2. Even in hard mode it makes too many mistakes 3. Allows both sides to repeat the same moves > 3 times in succession without offering the choice to either tie or continue by making a different move. Apart from this, really a quite enjoyable variant of the standard game and I recommend it.

I have had it for 10 days and I’m enjoying it a lot, it has made me loose fear of playing chess, it is fast and interesting. Comparing to other games I like that there is no luck involved, it is all up to you!
No Knights? Rooks for Knights!
This goofy game does not use Knights. It uses Rooks for nights instead. So you have four Rooks but no Knights; all those moves are lost. That's ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous this game is useless.
