Audio Issues
Can’t play external music on phone while game is running. Bruh.sfx
Bugs
There is a bug at the start of a new biome / game file, the quests on the maps don’t appear (monsters, forests and bosses). There is also a bug where you can’t load any adds (no free revives 😔)
FIX ASPECT RATIO
Love the game but the aspect ratio has been screwed up on ios for a while now and it looks terrible. Add black bars so at least it doesn't look so stretched.
If only the audio settings were better
You can’t play the game and continue listening to your audiobook or music. Since this is supposed to be an idle game it really kills it for me that I can’t open the app for a minute without it cutting off my audio
We need a cyberpunk version
Great game, and very addicting. The first map is more profitable than you think!

I give it a 4/5 because it’s simple it’s just entertaining enough to keep you busy for a little bit, it’s progressive & really is progressed based on the player themselves. I do however want to see your “heroes” change gear as we go through the game. When I craft an item it should show up on the character, that’s a big downfall. I’m not that far into it but with that being said adding really cool gear later on to the character would be even more epic. Like “dungeon” sets or something. I think the overall playability is there. I’d just like to see more visible results. That’s my only complaint currently. Also side note unlocking all content for $15 is 100% win in my book. I spent it before I even played the game just because why not & it made the game more VISIBLY appealing. I feel like a lot of apps make the mistake of going hard on shops/stores & micro transactions. You hit the mark here.
Still get ads after buying full game
Thought I’d be able to get the gold after a mission without watching ads. Unreal that you have to watch a 45 second ad to get 15-30 gold, especially after paying for “unlock all”. Def won’t be buying anything recommended by this dev in the future. The “unlock all” was probably intentionally vague as to deceive people into thinking the same. Good game overall, but I feel deceived by the IAP so I’m rating it low.
Great… with a caveat.
I have had this game for years, at least ten, and have loved it for just as long. The only thing keeping me from five stars is that I haven’t yet received the update. I don’t know if it’s the iOS side of things or not, but I’m waiting.
Love the game.
Been playing this game for a hot minute and absolutely love it. Honestly, yeah….would like for my music to play without working around it. There is a way to get your music to play. If you have some type of bluetooth device, you can play your music, open the game (which pauses the music) then push play on your device while still in the game. It plays! Also…people whining about some optional pocket change that requires adds…LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE GAME WHINER! You can do just fine if you manage your stuff right. You don’t need any of the ad fueled features like the gold after missions. Plus, again…don’t really need the free gold each day. Just play the game properly and you get way more gold.
Annoying issue please fix
Good game, but I cannot recommend it in good consciousness until the devs make it so that the game doesn’t pause your audio when you open it.
Running a trade empire requires a lot of clicking
I'm on my third go round with this game. I've had it for a few years and keep coming back, so that's a good sign, especially considering my usual life cycle with mobile games: download, enjoy for two days, delete. In some part this love affair is thanks to the presentation: lovely pixel art, big chonky buttons, fun music. I love the theme, I love leveling up and training new heroes. The feel of running some business or other in a realm of what we tend to think of as medieval fantasy is quite nice. Merchant is an idle game, and yet not quite an idle game. In truth it's rather involved and this involvement is mainly by way of clicking on buttons by the bushel. Oftentimes it is the same button, that being the "repeat" arrow that presents itself when one of your heroes has completed their quest. You will repeat quests often and with feeling because that's just how the grind works: we must send our heroes to do get the thing so we can turn the thing into another thing and then sell the thing to get the money. We're merchants after all. The level of involvement deepens as we send more heroes out to get the things for they will need special gear to the things and the gear have numbers on them. At this point my previous experiences with Merchant ground to a halt, because my expectations of the game were not meant. I think oftentimes I just want to click buttons and see numbers increase, rather than sit and think about which fancy piece of snake-steel best mitigates the defenses of a kraken. However, that's ultimately what makes this game a game rather than just an idle clicker. One must consider carefully how to equip their heroes to achieve murder. Stats must be mulled over and equations run. One must sit and down, counting their money, and figure which item grants them the best return on gold for their time. There are guides to help you do this. So that's that: if you like an offline idle game that requires a little bit of brainpower, this is well worth your time.
Privacy concerns
I played this game on an Android and liked it, but after installing on an iPhone I get messages that ‘Merchant copied from messages’. This and lack of a privacy statement = uninstall. Hopefully the developer will clarify and remedy this.

Simple RPG
Perfect for playing in small increments or going afk a lot. It won’t disrupt other more time consuming games. Is easy to fit into into your work day without boss aggro. You can play 1 minute/day and still get something out of it. If you want something engaging and deep, look elsewhere.
Sound problem
Can't turn off sound of game to listen my playlist music in background on iPad. Or listen for YouTube in Pip mode. Even if I reduce sound level to 0%, game still mutes all other sounds when u open merchant RPG.

Excellent but one is missing
Level 50 is maxed out after prestige. I reached Frentir Chasm. It says I cannot reach dungeon level 51 required. The last level required is level 59. Developer need to update this app and add new dungeons, villages, items, equipments, etc. if not, I will do it myself in RPG Maker MZ as my own ideas.
Developer inaction
Got to be honest this looks like a great game. But for 2 YEARS people have left reviews asking for the ability to play their own music/podcast while using the app. And it still doesn’t work. Sorry but that’s a deal breaker for me. I hope the devs see this and fix it, but I’m not holding my breath
Pretty good game
Can’t stop playing it but I’d like a feature to rearrange heros. After a couple making a hero prestige, I’d like to move newer hero’s to the top.
Doesnt work
My friend has this on his ASUS phone and its great, so when I found out it came to IOS I was excited... Except I cant get past the tutorial, about 30 seconds in it gives a *Runtime error: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)* and then it crashes. This is on an iPhone 6s IOS 9.3.2 btw. I hope they fix this, but for now the game is unplayable
Ads cannot be windowed!!!
Funny how poorly handled ads and IAP can dominate what should be a game review. If you’re going to display a 2 minute ad about cinnamon lowering blood sugar, and the close icon is in the top right like always, DO NOT display it in a window without rescaling the ad! I’m not going to sit here watching an ad that supports your livelihood and not be able to close it when it’s done, have to force close the app and relaunch. I don’t care if this is a switch to a different ad company, whatever. It’s your livelihood, not mine. I could cut and paste this lecture on 5 dozen apps out there, but I actually like this game and if some day I pop it open and click on the ad button to support it, and it’s not windowed and can be closed properly, I’ll submit my review of this game! Here’s a hint, it’s a 4.5 but you won’t find out why because I’ve spent my time complaining about the least important feature of the game, but the most important feature for the devs who don’t seem to play their game like normal people who click ads to support them do. This is a new trend, windowed ads that weren’t meant for windows!
Get on the grindset
I have been playing this game on and off for over five years. I have occasionally uninstalled completely only to save my own schedule from how much time I spend on here. There is not a single other game I have ever played that is as entertaining and challenging as this. Stuff is pretty straightforward, but it makes me want to learn more and adjust as much as possible (like changing my hero’s move sets to be advantageous against certain enemies). It doesn’t take long to get in the groove of grinding by collecting resources and selling expensive equipment to grow wealth. It’s not like a tycoon game where you’re doing the same things over and over just for inflated amounts of money, money stays the same throughout the game and things get progressively harder. I don’t even think twice before spending money on in app purchases to make the game a little easier, these developers have created a masterpiece and deserve my support.
Buggy as Hell

Great game.
I love this game, super addicting and really fun. there isn’t a lot that needs work and the games very polished. One of my only problems ( its small but it would make it really grate) is that the armor pieces don’t switch out. What I mean by this is no matter what you dress your adventures like there appearances stays the same and it’s semi emersion breaking for me. Other than this it’s a 5 Star game and I really love it.
Good game, but iOS seems an afterthought
A very addicting game where you recruit heroes, gather items, and craft items for your heroes to gather more. I’ve played continually since first starting it. The main problem with the game is some things don’t work on iOS or are incorrect. Buttons and quests for Ad watching are everywhere, yet don’t function at all. The latest “everything” bundle says $10.99 in the app, but was $12.99 upon purchasing and I didn’t even receive the in-game potions. The game also cuts off all background audio on loading, which is annoying when trying to quickly check the app. It’s worth playing for sure, but it is frustrating to deal things that don’t work on iOS and having paid $12.99 for about $8.00 worth of stuff, since I already owned a portion of the content.
Simple, fun, low-stakes game
I used to playing this game AGES ago and was happy to come back to discover they’d added new features, maps, and quests. It’s both relaxing and satisfying.

Awesome game
This is an extremely underrated game, this is one of my favorite games out there, it’s pretty easy to progress. The game is pretty easy yet it’s pretty complicated at the same time. There are a lot of different crafting recipes and equipment that you can’t really get bored of this game. There are also a lot of different characters to unlock and play. Overall, awesome game.

I am in love with this game, but it bothers me a lot that it cuts off my music whenever i open it. If I could just listen to my podcasts while i play this, I would be rating it 5 stars.
Can't reject customers
The game is fun and all but I constantly need to buy inventory space which cost way too much. Also you can't reject customers. Which means they will clog up space

Nice game, just not on iOS
Unfortunately the iOS-Version doesn't get the same attention by the developers than on other systems, so bugs stay for ever and most of the equipment can't be crafted due to missing bosses
love this game
This game scratches an itch that no other game I’ve found on the app store does. I’ve played it off and on for a couple of years, and I absolutely love it. Some of the drop rates (looking at you, gems) are painfully low but that’s expected. I love how it’s not pay to win. Why I gave it four stars: the music issue. Everyone else has mentioned it, but I’m tired of my music getting cut off when I play.
THIS DAMN BUG!
Honestly, this is one of the funnest games I've ever played. It's in an Amazing style, strategic, and doesn't even require wifi to play!!!😁 But there's this one thing about this game that brings it from a 5 to a 3. IT WONT LET YOU PLAY MISIC WHILE PLAYING THE GAME. Please fix it. I'm probably one of the only people that still plays this thing and I know you guys read these things. Please.
I’m addicted
This is the first time I’ve ever written a review for a game and I’m happy my first one will be for this. Beautiful pixel art, cute and satisfying sound effects, optional ads, addictive and fair progression, very easy to understand, relaxing medieval music. My literal one complaint is the game forcibly pausing any background music from Spotify or videos from YouTube or twitch. Other than that I love this game!!

Sicherlich gut
Spiele noch nicht lange habe aber das Geschehen von einem Kollegen verfolgt und der spielt das schon länger auf einem Androiden. Ich kann aber jetzt schon sagen das es für mich nichts ist und zwar liegt das an einer Kleinigkeit: meine Musik wird ausgemacht wenn ich das Spiel starte. Das ist für mich als Pendler Grund genug es nicht zu spielen. Schade aber vielleicht behebt ihr das ja noch?! Wäre super :)
