🚨Do not recommend as a teacher👎
It’s great for the first two weeks but after that you never get students to teach. There are too many teachers and not enough active students taking lessons despite there being a lot student accounts on it. The platform is nice but it isn’t reliable. There really isn’t a lot of support for teachers new to the platform, I recommend preply as an alternative if your looking to start teaching
A Teacher’s point of view
It is practically impossible to achieve the top level teacher pay grade of 180 yuan p/h. You have to be teaching a minimum of around 8 hours per day, 7 days a week. No teacher on the app has ever reached it. It is possible to reach 150 p/h but only in the 4th month. It is difficult to meet the requirements for a pay increase. Teacher pay grades after probation: Month 1: 78 p/h Month 2: 96 p/h Month 3: 120 p/h Month 4: 150 p/h During probation, Lanmaster staff will listen to teacher's classes to assess the quality of teaching. The free talk voice call function is a good idea, especially for shy learners. The teacher needs to provide corrections during the conversation. I've had some enjoyable conversations and good experiences with students during video classes. Staff are supportive. Although teachers are only supposed to be able to receive voice calls for free talks, I've received video calls which wasn't convenient. When a student calls, clicking on the notification banner cancels the call. The app needs to be open to be able to answer any scheduled or unscheduled call. This has happened several times, and most students don’t try calling back again even when invited to do so. I’m using an iPhone 13 ios-17
A great intro to online teaching
I’m glad I found the LangMaster app! I’m not a tech person & this has been my soft landing to teaching online. At 1st glance I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of the main dashboard, as well as locating teaching materials. There’s a helpful chat button to send inquiries. Imputing schedule availability is a breeze & sooo thankful they keep track of teaching minutes & the payment conversation.
I don’t recommend it
Quite honestly the money is just not worth it, they take a MASSIVE cut while you do all the work. They have ‘promotions’ to higher pay, but they will try their best not to give you them. Overall it is a predatory system. Go elsewhere.
Great flexibility
If you are looking for a platform to teach on that offers you flexibility in your teaching schedule Language Master is te way to go ! You can set up your schedule according to your availability, weekends are optional and if you Ah e a few hours free in your day you can open up and do a few standby hours . Wonderful if you are looking for a platform to fill up your schedule

Waste of time!
I tried applying to teach here to fill up my free time, which I am not teaching at, because it isn’t overcrowded with teachers like Palfish but the whole thing was a joke. Firstly, your profile automatically gets set as a “student” so as soon as you register, teachers start attacking you with messages for you to learn English with them. Secondly, they use different rates and pay non-natives ridiculously lower. Thirdly, it takes them forever to get back to you to apply. I was bounced to somewhere in S. Africa to a lady who had an ‘audio’ interview with me. She kept going on about how they don’t have a racist hiring system and that she is black, blah blah, then she comes up with the results for me saying there is a “slight accent issue” with my application and that they can’t sell me as a British teacher because they charge more for those! I have over 14 years of experience, a Master’s degree in Education, a Cambridge CELTA but speak with a neutral accent as I am bi-racial. I had to tell them my whole life story from A to Z but apparently that wasn’t enough! On the other hand, if you don’t know anything about teaching and want to make some extra money on the side (getting paid peanuts) and practise your teaching, it could be a good start as there are even kids teaching there with no experience whatsoever. Anyways good luck to them and the students. 😂
Effective teaching

As a teacher, I’ve found this app to be an excellent platform for helping English learners build confidence and real-world communication skills. The interface is intuitive and easy to follow, and students stay engaged. It allows me to tailor conversations to each learner’s level, making progress noticeable and consistent. This app is a highly effective tool for English instruction.
Didn’t get paid
I’ve been using this app for a while. At the beginning everything was fine and I could make 1000¥ per month . After few months things have been changed ( the developers started to hire a lot of teachers so old teachers like me couldn’t get enough calls(((( moreover some of the students used that app to verbally abuse the teachers and the app developers did nothing to protect the teachers . And things go worse and worse I simply stopped using the app so often and few days ago I’ve decided to withdraw the money and leave the app... I submitted the withdrawal process on the 1st of January 2019 by now no money has been transferred moreover the developers didn’t not respond any msg at all.

Good App. However no one to contact
I have applied to be a teacher in the app. However there is no one to contact since it’s been a month after applying and I don’t know whether they are going to accept or not. Overall app looks great and I can see many student. Cool.
Great app for ESL Teachers
I currently teach on this app and it is amazing! You are able to go available and wait for calls from students at your leisure. There are also options to teach Business English and IELTS courses. The students are very nice and are eager to have meaningful conversations with you! The students are adults and most of them are professionals or college students.
Bad app from the teachers point of view
I’ve been trying to use this app as a teacher , first of all it was super hard to get my profile approved ( the app assistant just constantly rejected my profile without giving any reason ((((((( then I’ve finally after long time got my profile approved . So I’ve found out that the payment is lower than it was promised . The app developers deduct a big amount of money from teachers. Secondly there are few students who will real make calls. Thirdly there is no support from developers they just ignore any msg and requests from teachers so if u got any issue u will have to deal with it by ur own self (((( I’m very disappointed about this app and would recommend it to others

This is a great resource for students and teachers. Students can connect with a teacher of their choosing, and set an appointment or just call if the teacher is available. The video lesson can be voice or video allowing students flexibility and the app itself has all the necessary resources. As a teacher who enjoys remote work, it is great.
Flexible and good teachers
The platform is so good for someone who wants to have a part time job because they can actually have us a job opportunity to be flexible with our time, what I like the most probably is to open the time whenever I am available and students will just call me any time they want, and we can talk in a natural, and I think this is both good for students and teachers.
